We spent the hour counting bridge stuff, doing math, going .3 mile out of our way, coming back, recounting bridge stuff (we were off by 2 on one number), doing more math, redoing math (and I was an accountant who worked with numbers for almost 40 years!) and finally got to what we thought was GZ. Fishnguy found the cache about a minute later. He's very good at spotting things that are just not quite right. Great camo. TFTC

Wow--this is an interesting cache! Fishnguy and I got there at 7:00PM and after 30 minutes of hunting, finally found the cache. The log was empty, so we signed it as the FTF. When we got home to log it, we discovered that Oaknest, CarlottaP, and others claim to have found it earlier today. Sent a note to the CO describing what and where we found our cache, and he confirmed that that was Yum II. Not sure what the others signed. Hopefully the CO will check it out and end the confusion. Too Much Parking

Geocachers of the World, Unite! - East Berlin

Fishnguy and I got there this morning, but there was a ballgame going on. We tried to be discreet, but after searching for a bit, we read the logs and discovered that the coordinates placed us closer to the field, so we left. Got back at 7:30 PM and another game was just over. Waited out a bunch of parents, then Fishnguy grabbed the well-hidden cache. We were sitting in one of the dugouts signing the cache, when a parent approached wanting to know if we were from the City of Sunnyvale. Turns out he had just erected the tarps over the dugout (to keep the sun off the players), and he was afraid it wasn't up to code. Told him we play in another city and were admiring the cover. The truth, but not the whole truth! TFTC

Fishnguy and I spent over an hour on this multi! I need to learn to read the description and not make assumptions! I was looking for a cache with numbers in it for about 20 minutes, then re-read the description and figured out the second set of numbers. Finally got the first set. Headed off to the second stage and about 10 minutes later, decided my coords were off. Checked my math, then changed one number, which made a significant difference. Searched at the site for 10 minutes, then read the logs, and figured out we were on the wrong level. Pretty easy to find once we got to the real GZ, especially since we're familiar with catomcat's hides, and he said this one was similar to one of his. TFTC

Wow--the geocache AND Satellite maps all show a very defined trail going right to this cache. Not so fast! We had to follow a very faint trail and bushwacked a bit to get to this one. It was a quick find, once we got there. Let a Lego TB. TFTC

Secret Waterman Gap Trailhead

Semperviren's Point Vista

We followed bytemobile to a bunch of caches in this area today, and I was about to give him a bad time about missing this one, but found out he's the CO! Funny place for a kiosk--middle of nowhere. Quick find. TFTC

Tin Can Creek Bypass

We always try too hard when we read other logs about people finding it easily as they walk up! We searched and searched and then finally decided not to overthink it and got it. Checked the windows to see if anyone was watching, but everyone was probably at work or school. TFTC

Quick find for Fishnguy and me. My ex used to work at ROLM (back in the '80's when companies tried to keep employees happy!). I remember going to their family day picnics and enjoying the volleyball court and pool. How sad that it looks as it does [ :( ] TFTC
