T in the Road

3:05pm We took a nice walk (total round trip about 50 minutes) to this cache. Lots of birds along the way. Found the cache in about five minutes after using the hint. Took workerofwood's button and Yack TB, left HI keychain and sig item. Signed log.

Duck and Cover

Saw this siren after picking up a cache in Alviso, CA. The picture was taken from a distance, as it was within some sort of fenced-in structure.

Paramount Importance

Tried looking for a few minutes without using my GPSr. Not many people around, as the establishment was closed but I was getting nervous with all the traffic passing by. Will try again and use my GPSr next time.

5:24pm There were a few people around, a wedding couple taking pictures, a family playing baseball in the grassy field, etc. but no one near where we searched. About to give up but as we were walking back to the car, we searched one more area and there it was. Nice hide. TNLNSL.

4:25pm Didn't have the cache page on my PDA for some reason so we just searched where my GPSr said it should be. And there it was. There were a few people in the parking lot, including someone detailing his car. In fact there were a couple of people detailing their cars here. Weird. TNLNSL.

Ancient Apartment Complex

4:57pm Right when we pulled up to the spot, some muggles decided to stand right where I wanted to look. Waited a few minutes for them to leave and found the cache. Be careful when you take it out because when I tried to take it out it fell in a small hole to the right of it. I managed to grab it out with a finger on each hand. Interesting structure in the middle of a modern apartment complex.

Northern CA Solar System Model: Shoemaker-Levy

5:14pm After watching a bit of the Air Show drove over to this park and found the cache fairly easy by using the hint. Walked around to find the other Solar System caches but didn't even get to look. There was a homeless person sleeping on one bench and an elderly couple watching ducks on the other. TNLNSL.

5:45pm After watching the Air Show up on the hill, went looking for caches. Found this one after looking in every nook and cranny for about ten minutes. Then, there it was. Very tricky hide, although if viewed at the correct angle, it's in plain sight. TNLNSL.

5:02pm After eating some good food at the Mushroom Mardi Gras, we looked around for some caches to find. Got to this one and walked around in a circle before we found the right spot. Took a couple tries to find the right thing but we eventually found the right one.

5:03pm Only a few people on the trails today. Went down the wrong trail and didn't want to walk through the tall brush so turned around and found the correct trail. Probably added .40 of a mile to our total trek. After searching for a while, we decided to stop looking at the GPSr and look for the most logical place, and there it was. TNLNSL.

5:38pm Figured this one out late last night. Probably the fifth time I'd taken a look at it. It just clicked and went to look for it today. There was a soccer game going on so everyone was paying attention to it. Easy grab and sign. Watched the game for a little while since I played soccer in my youth. TNLNSL.

6:16pm Today was my third try at this one. I figured out where to go but the first time, I forgot my memory stick for my digital camera. It wouldn't have mattered though because the second time I took a picture of the wrong thing. Finally got it today. It was right there the whole time.[:D]

5:56pm Had driven by this location a couple of times before and someone was always on the phone. This time, no one was on the phone but there were a couple of guys hanging outside talking. Went inside to get a Slurpee and as we were paying, the guys left. Pretended I was tying my shoe and grabbed the cache. TNLNSL.

Found this one while on a weekend road trip from the South Bay Area. I wasn't quite sure that I found the correct marker but the owner assured me that it was. I hadn't been back to Disneyland for almost fifteen years and the changes since then were amazing. And everything sure does look smaller. I guess that's because the last time I was there I was about 12. But I enjoyed my time there and even got to see the Main Street Electrical Parade at California Adventures.

5:41pm After finding a "good" place to park, we found this fairly quickly. Dropped off Moose's Brown Bear #1 to enjoy the view. Took nothing and signed log. While leaving, a local law enforcement officer pulled alongside us and asked us what was going on. I told him, just trying to find our way around, which if you think about it, was the truth. He said okay and let us go on our way. I think that "good" place we parked might be a "good" place to party, as evidenced by the broken beer bottles and used contraceptive items on the ground. The officer probably thought some funny business might be going on, but I guess our Prius didn't look suspicious enough! SMILIE

4:15pm After driving around for about half an hour, trying to find a way into the "park", we ended up entering from the first street we had tried half an hour earlier! Saw a bunch of lizards and even a snake crossing the road. Signed log, took a pic with the camera, left some alcohol swabs, and took the Moose's Brown Bear #1 TB.

6:02pm Parked right in front of this one and TNLNSL. The business was closed...but one of the proprietors was still there and came out right after I had taken the cache back to my car to sign. He came over to us and I thought he was going to say something about the cache but instead inquired about our Prius. I waited for him to leave before replacing the cache.

5:00pm After thinking we had the correct coordinates we drove to the cache area. Those coordinates were in the middle of someone's house, so we figured out they were wrong. A quick email to the owner and another counting of the lines and we were at the correct spot. It took a while to find it though. I wish I had checked out the hint before searching because it took a few minutes to find. It also took a minute or two to get the container out of its hiding spot. TNLNSL.

First we let the GPSr guide us, but it was guiding us back and forth with no success. Then we decided to just look around at the usual places. No success, although there was one area we couldn't search since there was someone sleeping nearby. Will be back.
