Commodore Fun

By: componenx Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:19pm Happy Halloween! I had solved this one a few months ago but the first try at finding it was unsuccessful. So I went back to the three sites to see if I had gotten wrong numbers. They were correct so I went back today to look for the cache. I found the regular-sized cache and everything in it was soaked. I dumped a good amount of water out of it and couldn't sign the log because it's now a wet lump. TNLN.

Server Still Too Busy?

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:05pm Happy Halloween! This was our second try finding the cache. It seems the cache had gone missing the previous try. This time, it took a few minutes of looking but eventually we found it. TNLNSL.

Middlefield Field

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:35pm Happy Halloween! We weren't sure where to park so we parked down at San Veron Park and had a nice stroll over to the cache site. After looking in a few places, we finally found it nicely hidden. TNLN and signed the new logbook.

Gettin' Drilled

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:55pm Happy Halloween! It sure wasn't a quick find for us. There was the group of cricket players at the park and by the time we found it, they had all left. My girlfriend picked up a piece of PVC piping, thinking it might be the cache, but all she found was a bunch of ants. Anyway, we found something on the ground nearby that gave us a clue as what to look for. My girlfriend finally found it nicely hidden. TNLNSL.

Stevenson Surprise

By: ladybug54 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

3:49pm Happy Halloween! I had this waypoint in my GPSr but didn't have the name of the cache so I decided to drive by and try to figure out which cache it was. I saw the Stevenson Park sign so I figured out it was this cache. My girlfriend found the cache after I had looked in the same spot. Guess she has better eyesight than me. TNLNSL.

Maverix Mystery Tour

By: Maverix Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

1:55pm After taking the Mansion Tour, which was very interesting, we did the Garden Tour and figured out the final coordinates. We drove over and I spotted the cache from the car. Is it supposed to be covered? Anyway, my girlfriend jumped out and brought it back to the car. TNLNSL.

Yet Another Walkway

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:31pm When we got to the walkway, our GPSr was telling us to walk to the other side of the walkway. So we walked down and then it said to go back. So we kept an eye out on the way back and eventually found it. TNLNSL.

Or take... ah...

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:41pm There were a couple of hundred people at the park watching the little kiddies play soccer. They were all paying attention to their children so I was able to spot the nice camo and find the cache. TNLNSL.

Ingvar Kamprad's Pride & Joy

By: Beckerbuns, Nurse Dave & Boyz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:29pm We had to make a stop at IKEA for a rug and dresser so we decided to go find this one. I got a parking space about fifty feet away but there were too many customers and a couple of employees walking around. So we headed into the store...and an hour later, exited with only some picture frames. But the coast was clear and it was an easy find. TNLNSL.

Sniper

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:04pm After spending a little more than we thought we would at the local establishment we decided to go look for this one again. An email from the owner gave me enought info to find this one fairly quickly this time. And imagine our surprise when we opened it and there was a Maui Ocean Center keychain. Since we're originally from Maui we traded our sig item for it and signed the log.

Tyler's Mural

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:59pm After a stop at IKEA and McDonald's we stopped by this cache. There were a few people in the parking lot and a few cars driving by so we just stood there looking at the very impressive mural for a couple of minutes until the coast was clear. My first look didn't yield the cache but a second look and I found the cache. It would've been pretty hard to find it without the hint I think. TNLNSL.

Paced Hunter

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

6:45pm After parking and taking a few steps I noticed I hadn't loaded the cache page into my PDA. So it'd be a blind find, not knowing if it's micro, regular, etc. Since it was getting dark there were only a few muggles in the park and only one near us. She was walking laps so after she passed us we started searching. I found it in the first place I looked, as I've seen this type of hide before. But the container was one of the most impressive and thought out I've ever seen. TNLNSL.

Whatawaste Plaza

By: boulter Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

6:24pm After finding another nearby puzzle cache, we drove over to this one and while looking for a place to park, I noticed a cacher walking towards the cache area. When we got there I asked if he had found it yet and he said he was waiting for some muggles to move out of the area. The cacher was Wacka and I had seen him at the recent BADGES picnic but we hadn't been introduced. After chatting for a while and waiting for the muggles to leave, we started searching. It took a while but I finally found it. BTW, the plaza was very empty this evening and the clock didn't seem to be working but it was a nice area to visit. TNLNSL.

BADGES Picnic #1

By: BADGES Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

12:46pm It was great meeting all the local geocachers and matching faces with all the names. We had a very enjoyable time with great food, great company, and great caches found. Thanks!

Feeding Frenzy

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:51pm We walked over to this one with boulter, WeBeDnD, and Motorbug. I kept walking until Anne yelled out that Jeff had already found it. I must have looked pretty funny. TNLNSL.

Baylands Bike & Bridge

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

2:24pm We joined sailorscodgers for the Baylands Park caches. Rich found this one after we both looked around for a while. TNLNSL.

Home Run!

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

2:55pm We looked around for a while and thought the cache might be next to the softball field. But there didn't look like there was any way to get there short of jumping over the fence so I searched a little more and sort of stepped on the cache. TNLNSL.

Baylands Grove

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:30pm When we got to the cache area, there was a group of cachers who had been looking for this one for a while. So we joined in and a few minutes later one of the youngsters found it. I guess it's easier if you're shorter. As we were signing, a big bunch of cachers came up to the scene and we got to meet WeBeDnD, Motorbug, and boulter, among others. TNLNSL.

Baylands Cache & Carry

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:19pm After finally making it back inside the Baylands Park we looked for this one. My GPSr was first pointing me to the wrong spot but I let it settle down and found the cache shortly thereafter. Our 300th cache! Yeah, now we can be on boulter's list of Bay Area Geocachers. TNLNSL.

Aw, Nuts!

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:43pm My GPSr was telling me to go swimming but I didn't want to so I checked where I thought where it would be and there it was. I think this is where I took a soccer coin and left my sig item. Signed log.

BM521

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:04pm Rich of sailorscodgers found this one fairly quickly. Also saw the benchmark but couldn't make out what it said. TNLNSL.

I Think That I Shall Never See...

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:01pm After moving last week, this cache became our closest to:not found so we stopped by last night. There was a flag football game going on earlier so we did some errands and came back a couple of hours later. The park was almost empty, maybe because it was a bit cold. We found it after a couple of minutes of looking. And neat container! First one like that I've ever seen. TNLNSL.
