Rusty Spoons

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:30pm There was a big tow truck that helped block us from the public and we found the cache in the first place we looked. Will have to try eating at the restaurant one of these days as I work fairly closeby. TNLNSL.

20th Century Crier

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:17pm The park was empty, only one car in the parking lot so we walked right over to the cache, found it quickly and TNLNSL. I also logged that type of locationless cache a while ago, found one in Alviso.

Jolly Micro

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:21pm Drove up to the park and saw someone walking in circles, looking at something in his hand. It was a geocacher of course, reezoom, and we said hello before we went looking for the cache. The hint made total sense to me so I walked right up and found the cache in the first place I looked. After signing it, we gave the logbook to reezoom to sign. We talked for a while, as it took me a few minutes to get the cache attached properly to its hiding place. TNLNSL.

Pupperoni Cache

By: Sharkz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3:50pm We've been to this park before for another cache and today it was empty. It's getting chilly so everyone's probably indoors. Found the cache easily with the geotrail and hint. Didn't have any dog-related items with us so TNLNSL.

Monte Bello

By: Jish Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:40pm We searched for this one for about ten minutes before sitting on the bench to take a break. A couple of minutes later, a mother and daughter decided to sit on the hill directly behind us. After waiting a few minutes, we decided to go find another cache further down the trail. When we got back the mother and daughter were gone so we could resume our search. I finally found a well hidden cache and TNLNSL.

Christmas in July

By: kablooey Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

4:21pm We didn't find the correct deer trail until after we had found the cache, so we walked straight up a hill till we got to the cache site. It took a while, as I finally found the cache in a spot I had previously inspected but not well enough. Took a token not meant to be seen by children and left a micro sig item, signed log.

Between Two Spaces

By: Marky & Joani & Woof! Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

3:55pm Parked very close to this cache and found it after finding a few caches in Monte Bello. Nice hiding spot. TNLNSL.

Succession (or: A Faulty Cache)

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:19pm Decided to do a few Monte Bello caches today, including this one that we'd previously DNFed. It took a while but I eventually found it. Pretty sneaky, although it's viewable from the trail at the correct angle. TNLNSL.

Dokey Oakey

By: 4wheeler Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

3:07pm Doing a few caches in Monte Bello today. Decided to walk the extra half mile to this one from another cache. Walked up and down the Canyon trail and finally came upon the cache area. I finally found the cache in a previous spot I had check, but not well enough. TNLNSL.

LT01 Trail Head

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:56pm On the way back from finding a few Monte Bello caches we stopped here since it's right off Page Mill Road. We looked for about ten minutes until we saw some hikers and their dog (I thought dogs weren't allowed on these trails?) coming back to their van. So we got back in our car and waited. And waited. And waited. The mother driving the car must have taken her driving lessons from a blind man because she pulled into a side road on the other side of street and preceded to back up...go forward...back up...hit a bush..go forward...get stuck in mud...have her sons gets out of the van exasperated...back up again...go forward...get out and let her son drive the van out of the mud...and finally get back in and drive off. The whole reversing took about ten minutes. We were laughing our heads off in our car watching the entire time. Anyway, after they finally left we went back to searching and found the cache, right where I had looked previously but not good enough. Very nice camo. TNLNSL.

Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Cache

By: artadams & belrose (adopted by WeBeDnD) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:44pm Happy Thanksgiving! Our for a few caches before gorging ourselves on Thanksgiving dinner. I knew this was disabled but I already had figured out the coordinates and saw that cachers were still finding this so we decided to try to find it. We had just finished doing the Charleston Shuffle cache and decided to walk the one mile round trip to this cache, since I hadn't seen any closer parking nearby. Found the cache easily and TNLNSL since I didn't have any books with me.

Northern CA Solar System Model: Planet Jupiter

By: TeamJiffy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

4:31pm Happy Thanksgiving! Out for a couple of hours of caching for Thanksgiving dinner. We found the nearby Ganymede and then walked over and found this one. Found it after looking for a couple of minutes...nice camo. TNLNSL.

The Charleston Shuffle

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

3:27pm Happy Thanksgiving! Out for a few caches before gorging ourselves on Thanksgiving dinner. This one was a fairly easy multi, although one of the objects described in the clues is covered by plants. It's a good thing my girlfriend has a good eye for spotting caches. TNLNSL.

Northern CA Solar System Model: Ganymede

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

4:23pm Happy Thanksgiving! Our for a few caches before gorging ourselves on Thanksgiving dinner. Had tried to find this one previously but had no luck. Today, after waiting a couple who walked back and forth near the cache area, we looked in the general area and the cache was right there, kind of out in the open. I replaced it about a foot away from where it was, no longer in the open for passerby's to see it from the trail. TNLNSL.

Rabbits For Rosco

By: RoscoC Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3:01pm Happy Thanksgiving! Out for a few hours of geocaching before gorging on Thanksgiving dinner. Parked at the concert parking and walked over to the cache, seeing a jack rabbit and squirrels on the way. Using the hint, it was a quick find. Took button and left sig item, signed log.

My Meridian

By: Wintertime Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Came back to try again with a hint the owner emailed me a few months back. Still couldn't find it. I know I have the right coordinates...I just can't find the cache in all that ivy. I think I'm done trying to find this one.

Permanent Diversion

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:47pm Parked on a side street and walked over to this one. Found it quickly and after we replaced the cache, we read the information on the bench for a while. No water running today. TNLNSL.

Dizzy

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:34pm Found this one quickly using the hint. Didn't get too dizzy looking at all the cars whiz by. TNLNSL.

Stacey's walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:39pm We drove down one cul-de-sac, which was filled with little tykes on bikes riding around in circles. Went to the other cul-de-sac and walked down the the cache. The cache was partially covered with all the falling leaves but I had seen the container before so I spotted it quickly. TNLNSL.

De Anza Park

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:25pm Walked right by the cache looking at our GPSr, which put us in the middle of the grass field. Turned around and looked for where we thought the cache would be. Found it and TNLNSL.

Ram Run

By: chepup Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Just like Marky, we were on the wrong side of the barbed wire fence and didn't feel like jumping over it. We walked back down and saw a trailhead near the church? and tried that for a couple of minutes before turning back since it was going in the wrong direction and we were getting cold. After reading one of the previous logs, that might have been the the correct trailhead after all. Maybe there's a switchback further down the trail. I'm posting a note since I don't post DNF's unless I actually search for the cache.

School View

By: Team Bandit Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:28pm Before heading to the outlets for some shopping, we decided to find a couple of caches that had been hidden recently. We had previously found another close cache so we knew where to park. But we had to look for the entrance to the path. We found it and took a nice walk down to the cache, which we found after searching for about five minutes. TNLNSL.

End of the Trail

By: Team Bandit Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

[2:50pm We parked in front of some nearby homes and walked over to this one. We walked past it about 100 feet before we looked down at the GPSr and turned around. I finally found it after searching for a few minutes. I had to do the "talking on the cell phone" trick to fool the passing motorists before I replaced it. I'm not so fond of the placement, since it's very close to the] bridge [and you're sure to be seen by passing motorists. TNLNSL.]

Love

By: The Rat Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

I also fell for the trap but figured out the coordinates...well, I think they're the correct ones. Based on where they took us, I'm pretty sure we were looking in the correct place. Looked for about five minutes but there was muggle activity all around us so we decided to call it quits for the day and come back another time when the area's a little emptier.

Sorta Secret Walkway - Laser Car Wash?

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:20pm We said hello to the car wash attendant but he didn't give us any help, which we didn't really want anyway because we wanted to find it ourselves. Found it fairly quickly using the hint. TNLNSL.

The People Zone Two + A Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:36pm Parked near the basketball courts and walked over to this one. It was in the second place we looked. TNLNSL.

Park it in the Park

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:43pm After parking our car nearby, I spotted the most appropriate hiding spot based on the title. Yep, it was there. We parked it awhile to sign the log. TNLNSL.

Cupertino Foothill Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:26pm We got to the area and started looking at an appropriate spot based on the hint. But it wasn't there. So I checked my PDA to see if previous logs could give me a hint. While I was reading the previous logs, I heard my girlfriend say, "I found it". The falling leaves from the trees above have almost covered the hiding spot completely. Took digitalfish #1046 and left digitalfish #511, signed log.

Walkway to Deep Cliff

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:55pm We decided to try this one since we thought we knew what to look for based on the hint. We searched for a few minutes and then my girlfriend stepped on a pumpkin someone had probably rolled down the stairway. Ten minutes into our search, as she was cleaning her shoe off, I tried Motorbug's coordinates and found the cache, although I think it was pure luck. Took digitalfish #1163 and left digitafish #376, signed log.

Grant Park

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:50pm Found this after walking over from Park It In The Park. Fairly easy find using the hint although my girlfriend had to tell me "look there" when I was looking in the wrong spot. TNLNSL.

Wag That Tail -- Then Pick it Up

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:51pm As we entered the park, a little dog greeted us. We got a little closer and it started barking so we went looking for the cache. Got close to the cache but we forgot our pencil in the car so we had to go back and get it. Easy find after that. TNLNSL.

Cupertino Power Walk

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:06pm As we parked I saw that I hadn't loaded this cache into my PDA. Oh great, I thought, another blind find, not knowing what to look for. Looked for about ten minutes and I told my girlfriend, let's go already. About a couple of seconds later she found it. That always seems to happen. TNLNSL.

Geometry Quiz

By: Dr. Bobo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:20pm Like others, I got part 2 fairly quickly but couldn't figure out part 1, since geometry wasn't my best subject. So I asked my brother for help and he figured it out in a few minutes. Went to look for it today and found it very quickly. Glad to get the final puzzle cache on my closest to home list found. TNLNSL.

Secret walkway #7 - The Ivy Cache

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

1:36pm This is the closest cache to our house, so after reading previous logs to gain some perspective on the cache, we decided to go searching for it today. The thing is, the entire walk over, our GPSr wasn't picking up any signals. But we knew we had to look for some ivy. As we got to the spot, we decided to time how long it'd take to find the cache. Ten seconds later, my girlfriend had found it. I asked her how'd she find it and she told me that I had forgotten to mention what kind of container we were looking for, so she just looked for anything out of the ordinary. Geez, she's getting to be a better finder than me. TNLNSL.

BADGES #1

By: BADGES Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

A couple of weeks ago I was looking at old caches that I've found and noticed that there was a TB in this one. Well, anyone who's found it knows there's no way you can leave a TB in it. Then about a week ago, I was visiting the Travel Bug Coffee Break and what did I find, the Have A Ball TB. So I'll "virtually" log this one out of BADGES #1 and drop it into the correct cache.

Travel Bug Coffee Break

By: Kreebelle (maintained by WalruZ) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

When I visited this cache a week ago, I noticed a TB in it that was logged into the BADGES #1 cache. The problem is that there's no way any TB could fit in that cache so I "virtually" grabbed it and am logging it into this cache.

I'll try to make it to this one so I'll be able to spot the upcoming caches a little easier and faster!
