West Side Story

By: mbrill Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I checked the entryway to this one yesterday and the fence with "No Trespassing" sign is still there. Hopefully they'll finish the path soon, although I don't see much work being done.

Indy's Hideout

By: Geo Indy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

3:06pm Like the previous finder said, the poison oak is out for vengeance! I had to outmanuever some of it growing very close to the cache. I can see it overgrowing the cache site in a month if there's any more rain. TNLNSL.

Watto's Junk Yard Cache.

By: Boba Fett Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:51pm Took some looking to find this one. Still don't know why it's called Watto's Junk Yard. TNLNSL.

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

You're the Apple of my Eye

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:47pm Out today for a nice walk along the trail. Took a while to find this one, as we had to outwait some muggles and the GPSr signal was bouncing around. My better half finally found the cache after a couple of minutes. Nice container! TNLNSL.

Los Gatos Creek - Revisited #2

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:58pm We parked at the legal spot and walked over to find this one. Found it in the first spot we checked. Covered it a little better than we found it. TNLNSL.

Los Gatos Creek - Revisted #3

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Spent about twenty minutes looking for this one. Came home and noticed the coordinates have changed a little. Will try again soon as we've picked up the other four caches in the series.

Los Gatos Creek - Revisted #5

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:44pm Drove around the neighborhood trying to get to this one. Finally found the correct spot, checked the obvious spot and it wasn't there. Checked a couple of other spots and found the cache. TNLNSL.

4:31pm We walked back and forth, checking multiple spots before spotting the cache. TNLNSL.

European Highways

By: PhilippeGPS (maintained by The Rat) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

6:45pm I solved this one about a month ago and had driven past the spot a couple of weeks ago. But it was getting dark and I didn't want to go where the cache was in the dark. So we went looking today. The tree cover kept us moving around and searching multiple spots but I eventually saw the cache. There was some water in the cache so I got rid of it. The log was dry though so I took digitalfish #349, left micro sig item and signed log. When we were done, we looked at our GPSr and it said we were 3 ft away. Pretty accurate, even under the tree cover.

Black Adder

By: the Rat Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:22pm I figured out this one over six months ago but didn't go looking for it till today. While looking for the cache, I got a lot of paint or grease on my hands that was on the fence...so be careful where you touch. Took a couple of minutes to find. Thanks for the puzzle and cache. TNLNSL.

Somewhere in Loehmann's Plaza

By: catomcat Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

As we pulled up there were some cachers just about to start looking so we joined them. We spent about half an hour looking but couldn't find it. I think we even witnessed a drug deal or something fishy going on. A woman came through the break in the fence (and was startled by myself), walked about a hundred feet where a truck pulled up. She got in the truck and about thirty seconds later, got out and walked back through the break in the fence. Weird. Anyway, couldn't find the cache so any hints from previous finders would be greatly appreciated.

The People Zone III + A Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

6:02pm After getting some really good hints from the cache owner and others we tried this one again. Took about a minute to find this time. TNLNSL.

A Real Looooong Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:46pm Drove around trying to find the entrance to the walkway. Saw the way over the railroad tracks but didn't want to go that way. Finally found another short walkway to the longer walkway. Used Motorbug's coordinates to get us closer to the cache. My better half found it and we TNLNSL.

COMMANDO BIRD! Woodland Headquarters

By: chick-n-rock Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

6:27pm As we pulled into the parking lot next to the cache site, we noticed a car parked there with occupants inside. So I decided to drive out and park somewhere else. As I was doing so, my better half said that the other car had a GPS sticker on it. It was Beckerbuns and boys. They made the find and we chatted for a bit. Took ladybug, left my micro sig item and digital fish #1394, signed log.

Hamann Hangout

By: Jay, Caine, and Becca (wwp) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:12pm After some great hints from a fellow geocacher, we attempted this one for the third time. We could see it when we got there but it took a while to retrieve the cache. Finally glad to get this one off our DNF list. TNLNSL.

Lee Made Squid Rib

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

6:36pm We saw that this one had been found so we decided to go look for it again. As I was reading the cache description out loud, my better half mentioned looking someplace that we hadn't before. Found it about thirty seconds later. Nice hide! Had to outwait a muggle family before looking for the second stage. Found it after a couple of minutes and TNLNSL.

Los Gatos Creek Trail - Hamilton Ave

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

5:31pm We tried this one again. Not too many joggers/walkers around so we could search without being seen. Found the cache pretty quickly. Like the previous cacher said, the inside is pretty damp. TNLNSL.

Los Gatos Creek - Revisited #1

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:49pm My better half was looking at the right spot, just good enough so I took another glance at it and found the cache. TNLNSL.

By: Coppernob for Mrs. and Ivor Screwloose Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Bret and Bart's Lovin' Feeling

By: The Owl and The Pussycat Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

We looked and looked and looked for over half an hour but couldn't find it. At least the views were worth it. And we saw some seals down below.

Circular beach reasoning

By: Skunkerkids Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

1:26pm We had DNFed this one about a year ago because the surrounding area was quite muddy. Today, the ground was dry and hard, so we could walk to the cache without much trouble. A small snake scared my better half when she almost stepped on it. It slithered away and we found the cache shortly thereafter. TNLNSL.

Who would? Driftwood!

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:33pm Man, this one took a while. Mainly because we had to wait all the muggles. If there weren't some coming from the left, there were some coming from the right. Between muggles we looked and looked. My GPSr batteries died so we went back to the car to get fresh ones. When we got back I found the cache in the first place I looked. TNLNSL.

Can You Do the Cam Can?

By: TBD & D Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

1:41pm Stopped by this one and the parking lot was full of Harleys so we had to park on the street. Easy find after that. Not sure if I saw a TB in there or not. TNLNSL.

Still Standing

By: Woof! Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:51pm Parked near the restrooms hoping they'd be open and of course, they weren't. Found out we were still a few hundred feet away so found the right road. Found the cache shortly thereafter. TNLNSL.

Ferrosaurus

By: digitalfish Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:31pm There were some muggles near the shop but we took a lot of pictures while hunting so hopefully they didn't think anything about us there. Found the cache in a few minutes. TNLNSL.

HMB Hoosegow

By: digitalfish Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

1:10pm Decided to drive over to Half Moon Bay and pick up some new caches since the last time we were here. There was no one around but it took a couple of minutes before my better half found it. Took bullit token, left Mauison sig keychain, signed log.

Whisman Whimsey

By: trode Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

6:59pm The parking lot was empty so it was an easy find, although a difficult extraction of the cache. TNLNSL.

House of the King

By: trode Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

6:52pm When we got there there was a mother and son playing on the equipment but our GPSr had us walking all around the park so they probably thought we were crazy. We did find a purple easter egg with candy inside someone didn't find during Easter. We eventually found the cache and left the easter egg in it (threw the candy away), signed log.

Hanging Out in Las Palmas

By: Rocket Girl and Duckey Lee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

7:40pm Also our third time to this park for a cache. We walked over from the parking lot and found it almost immediately. While signing, a family stopped on the sidewalk but they were too enamored in their baby to pay any attention to us. TNLNSL.

By: TheSunnyOaks Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:13pm First we couldn't find the correct road to the parking lot. Then we couldn't find the correct path to the cache. We searched in the wrong area at first but then our GPSr pointed in a different spot. Found the cache, took our picture and TNLNSL.

C.H.U.D.

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

7:12pm Parked at the nearby parking lot (which we've parked at twice before to find nearby caches) and walked over to this one. We looked for a few minutes before I said, "It's not that, is it?" My better half said, "no" but I checked anyway and it was the cache. Nice hide! TNLNSL.

Stevens Creek Cache

By: camnpete Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Reservoir Junction

By: jabberwocky & family Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:08pm We took the main trail first but then had to backtrack to the cache area. Had to dodge some poison oak but not much. All of the contents in the cache have ink all over them but the logbook is fine. TNLNSL.

Rocky Road

By: Sharkz Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:57pm We took the long way to this one, coming from the paid parking lot and then having to climb up that steep hill. We were so tired by the time we reached the dam, we sat down for a while in the shad and watched the fisherman. We had walked right past the cache on the way up so we went back and found the nicely camoed cache. TNLNSL.

Swimming Hole

By: Sharkz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

5:19pm Our last cache of the day and it was a nice peaceful spot. TNLNSL.

Is this the beginning or the end?

By: Sharkz & bullit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2:42pm This was the beginning for us too, 1st out of 7 on the day. It was an easy find using the hint. TNLNSL.

Dam Cachers

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4:56pm There was no one on the trail near this cache today so we could look around without being seen. We couldn't find it so we finally resorted to poking around with our hiking poles. My better half's pole finally made a thud and she found the cache. TNLNSL.

Stevens Creek Spillway

By: bullit & Sharkz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4:36pm We had tried to get to this one from the wrong side of the spillway so we had to backtrack to the parking lot and take a different trail. We found it nicely hidden. TNLNSL.

ROUND ABOUT

By: misterfranklin Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

8:00pm Having driven past this one several times without attempting it, we figured we might as well. We waited till the coast was clear and went searching. As soon as we found the cache, a van drove by, driver staring at us. As he drove off, I TNLNSL.

Forgotten Psychedelic Rock Venue #1THE BOLD KNIGHT

By: MontytheMule Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:44pm We had tried this one yesterday but I had the old coordinates so we went back today. There was a father pushing his two kids around the parking lot in a stroller so we had to wait him out before looking for the cache. Found it in about a minute. I also found some small yellow jacket nests so watch where you look. TNLNSL.

Lakewood Park

By: Somethings Fishy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

2:17pm We couldn't find parking near the posted coordinates so turned right onto the next street to find some parking. As were were looking for parking, I noticed shadow101 walking across the park. We found a parking spot near the cache site and joined shadow101 to search for the cache. It took a few minutes but my better half found the cache. Our second similar sized cache in half an hour. TNLNSL.

John W. Christian Greenbelt II

By: Somethings Fishy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:32pm We took the short walk down the greenbelt from the street and began our search. It took a while until my better half told me we should search near another object and the cache was in hand soon thereafter. Took Signal token, left micro sig token, signed log.

Portkey

By: zapboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

8:06pm We parked nearby and walked down the street to this cache. I saw a good spot based on the hint but our GPSr was telling us we were still 50 feet from the cache. But there wasn't anything else that looked like a good hiding spot so we walked back and there was the cache, right where I should have looked in the first place. TNLNSL.

Khachkar

By: 2blucats Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

7:09pm I solved this one a while ago and had driven by the cache site but there were muggles about. Today we tried again and no muggles around. It took a few minutes but I eventually found the cache. TNLNSL.

Fremont Older OSP's Front Door

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

6:54pm This was one of the easier caches to find in Fremont Older. And the hike/walk to the cache was flat. TNLNSL.

Hetch Hetchy Trail - Hippity Hoppity

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:10pm We found the other Hetch Hetchy Trail cache first and then walked back to this one. Our GPSr led us about fifty feet past the cache before we turned around and let it settle down. My better half found it but didn't want to touch it for some reason. I'm pretty sure I had one of those containers when I was a kid. TNLNSL.

Hetch Hetchy Trail - Purple Wisteria

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:02pm We took a nice little walk down the trail today and when my better half said, "Hey, there's some purple flowers.", the cache was found shortly thereafter. We both had a good laugh at the cache container. TNLNSL.

The People Zone III + A Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Saratoga Creek Overlook #2

By: Bughound Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:54pm We had tried this one previously but had no luck. Today, the previous log helped me find the cache in a few seconds. It took longer to get the log out and replace than it did to find the cache. Man, am I beginning to dislike these blinkin' caches! [:D] TNLNSL.

Ceara's First Puzzle

By: Ceara (with help from WeBeDnD) Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

7:20pm I had actually solved this the day it came online but didn't have a chance to go look for it till today. Parked at the "Side Door" and walked up the steep trail to get to the main trail. Walked over to the cache site and found the cache shortly thereafter. My better half pretended to take pictures of me when groups of mountain bikers and joggers went by. Took digitalfish and left micro sig item, signed log. I met Ceara a couple of months ago and she's a cutie!

Fremont Older OSP's Side Door

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

7:50pm We ended up parking right next to the cache, which I found in the second place I looked. A mountain biker came down the trail as I was about to grab the cache so we decided to go after another cache in the area first. When we got back, there were a couple of muggles with a very friendly dog. We waited about ten minutes for them to stop talking and drive off before getting the cache. The logsheet was damp so I put it in a Ziploc bag. Hopefully it'll keep it a little drier. TNLNSL.

F.A.M.E. #2 - Los Gatos Creek Trail

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4:11pm This one took a while to find as I didn't know what the first thing in the hint looked like. I finally read something in the description that got us in the right spot. The second part of the hint doesn't apply to the cache anymore. But I could see the cache exposed a little so it wasn't too hard to find. TNLNSL.

Los Gatos Creek Trail - Hamilton Ave

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

We decided to do a few caches along the Creek Trail today and this one was the only one we DNFed. When we got to the cache site, there weren't many muggles around so we could look around. My better half thought she saw it and I couldn't find it so I thought that she was correct. Except that it was beyond our physical capabilities. We found a few more caches down the trail and came back to this one, unsuccessful once again. We thought, how can a majority of the cachers grab this one. But now that I've read all of the logs, I'm sure the object we were trying to retrieve wasn't a cache at all. Not knowing what a sure-lock container looks like didn't help either. We'll be back soon to grab this one.

Los Gatos Creek Trail - Flood Control

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:31pm When we approached the site, we waited out a couple of walkers and then went down to the object and looked and felt around. Didn't find anything so I decided to go down the hill towards the creek (no need to do this!) to see if I could see anything from below. When I got to the bottom I heard, "Found it!" from above. My better half had found it so I made my way back up (not easy) and TNLNSL. As we got back to the trail, we surprised a woman walking past. I wonder what she thought of us?

Way to Ebay

By: cc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

4:45pm Did a few caches on the Trail today and this was the last one before turning around and heading back to Campbell Ave. We initially walked past the cache site as there is some tree cover but once we stopped our GPSr pointed us in the correct spot. Easy find after that. As we were signing the cache, a transient crossed near us and was yelling at everyone that it was freezing outside and everyone should be inside since it's winter, not spring. We had to hurry past him on the way back. TNLNSL.

Essence Of Water - Giki Tiki 2

By: The Petoskey Stones and mfc61 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:55pm We'd be to this park to find a cache previously so we knew how to get there. As we walked to the cache site, there was a family with three dogs (yep, more dogs) nearby but they walked away and we were able to find the cache soon thereafter. TNLNSL.

Edith's Tote Bag

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

3:03pm Walked over to this one from Giki Tiki 2. We saw the birds and since my better half is afraid of all things BIRD, I walked over to this one by myself. Found it easily using the hint. TNLNSL.

Gavilan Buena Vista

By: goodlife Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

4:41pm This one was a doozy. We found the correct parking spot but we took the long way around to find the path up to the cache. I had the old description of the cache in my PDA and it said not to go off the path. We finally went off the path and over some barb wire to find the cache. Then we had to dodge a few sprigs of poison oak right next to the cache. But the views were awesome! Took Baskin Robbins coupon, left digitalfish #848 (http://www.lynnmurphy.com/geocaching/tracking/index.php), signed log.

Walk the Fence

By: ArcticFire Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

6:00pm Walked up the hill from Nancy Drew #12 and as we approached the site, I saw seven wild turkeys so I continued alone as my better half is afraid of all things BIRD. Followed the geotrail to the cache. TNLNSL.

Ohlone Rock

By: Team Travieso Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Orchard Farm?

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:07pm A couple of nights ago I decided to check for any new caches before calling it a night and heading to bed. This one had just popped up within the previous five minutes. So should I try for the FTF or go to sleep. Sleep won out so we went back tonight to look for it. After dinner we drove over to the cache area but my GPSr couldn't get a lock. I decided to check a usual spot but no go. We decided to just go home but as we were a block away from home, the GPSr finally decided to cooperate. So a quick u-turn and we were back at the cache. After that, it was an easy find. TNLNSL.
