PG & E 118

By: Sharkz & bullit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

4:05pm Decided to finish up this side of Stevens Creek County Park today. Boy was it hot! Took us a while to slowly hike up the trail. It was a quick find with the clue. TNLNSL.

We chose poorly

By: mfc61 and The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

5:57pm On the way up the Coyote Ridge trail this one was within 180 feet but we knew it was on the higher trail so we continued on our way. On the way back down we made the trek over to the upper trail and walked through the thorny grass to get to the cache. Saw it right away and TNLNSL.

Lost Trail

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

6:45pm After doing a few hours of hiking we decided to try this one since we had already paid for parking for the day. Finally figured out the correct trail and got to the cache site. There was another group of trees that the hint applied to so I searched that one for a while before trying a second group. After a couple of minutes, I found the cache buried beneath three months of leaves and branches. I left it a little easier to find for the next cacher...unless it's another three months before someone else tries to find it. TNLNSL.

Bee Sting

By: bullit & Sharkz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

4:38pm We finally got to the cache site and I spotted the cache from the trail. I tried to dodge some PO but I nicked a branch with my leg (put some Tecnu on it so hopefully I'm safe). TNLNSL.

No Brakes!

By: bullit & Sharkz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

4:27pm We made our way up the trail and found this one fairly easy...it wasn't covered up too much. Nice views! TNLNSL.

Why isn't there a cache here?

By: boulter Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

5:09pm Wow, it's been over three months since anyone visited this cache. I guess that extra .8 mile round trip doesn't look too appealing when you see the ups and downs of that section of trail. But we thought, we were already up here and we don't want to make the trek back up again so we went for it. I finally found the cache after looking for a couple of minutes. Took a pic of myself and TNLNSL.

West Side Story

By: mbrill Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

The no trespassing fences are still up and construction is still being done to the trail/path. I'm not sure where the new cache wants to be placed but the whole section of trail/path seems to be off limits while the construction is still going on. Unless there's a section that's been finished but I can't see it from the road. I can see a park across the road without a cache in it so maybe that's where the new one wants to be placed. If that's the case, when the trail construction's done, the West Side Story cache could probably be moved down the trail and adjustments to the coordinates could be made.

Somewhere In Time

By: reg3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

5:07pm We were at the Fourth Marine Division Memorial Park in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii for another cache and Jenn told me to watch where I was stepping. She thought that I was stepping on a grave since she saw the word buried on the plaque. Instead it was the 50 year time capsule of the 4th Marine Division of WWII to be opened on May 31, 2047.

Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch (Maui)

2:37pm Hey Susie, we're on Maui now vacationing. Imagine our surprise when we saw a cache here owned by you. And to think, we lived on Maui for over 25 years and never knew about this place. Mahalo nui loa for the cache!

Fourth Marine Division Memorial Park

By: syamato Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:17pm We thought that this park was somewhere else in Makawao so it took us a while to find it. When we finally did, I mixed up abc and def and it looked like the cache was .88 miles away. I knew this had to be wrong so I fixed the coordinates and now it said .12 miles away. Much more likely coordinates so we took the walk across the field. Jenn found the cache while I was checking another spot. TN, left a couple of my sig tokens, signed log.

E. Kuiaha Cache

By: kamakani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:30pm I didn't load the Maui maps onto my GPSr so it took a wrong turn or two to finally get to the gate. We were also unsure about the spot (ie: private or public property) but we didn't see any no trespassing or other signs in the area so we followed the trail down. Our Magellan did the "boomerang" so we had to turn around and head back to the cache. Jenn made the find and TNLNSL.

Maui Beach Cam

1:19pm We were visiting the nearby Sheraton and decided to make the walk over to this one. Our buddy Tim, back in San Jose took our picture, showing Jenn waving and me on the cell phone talking to Tim. Even though it looks sunny and the temp says 86 degrees, it was actually raining a little!

Manawaipueo Gulch

By: Lazyboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

4:59pm This one took a while to find as I had to do a little climbing around to find it. It wasn't covered at all so at least I could see it easily. I didn't see the White Jeep in there but there were two other finders today who haven't logged yet so hopefully one of them took it and it hasn't been stolen. TNLNSL but mahalo for the great view!

Honeymooner's Cache

By: scarredknee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4:43pm It took a couple of minutes to find but we could tell where the cache was hidden. Scared a pheasant nearby. Only saw the Hawaii or Bust TB in the cache but since we're not going to be on Oahu, we left it. TNLNSL.

Napili Park

By: FireProof94 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:47pm Took about fifteen minutes in the hot Maui sun to finally find the cache. The hint doesn't apply to the hide anymore. The Continental Coin geocoin isn't there either. TNLNSL.

Why, Papa?

By: TeamMoehrke Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

12:31pm We stopped at the lookout on the way back from Kaanapali. There were a lot of people looking for whales but since we're from Maui, we knew it wasn't whale season. Anyway, mahalo nui loa for the cache!

"AlOha frOm MaUi"

By: Dr.HazZMatT (Maui no ka 'oi!") Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

3:20pm We parked right in front of the cache but there was a security guard in our view so we went to Lappert's, got some ice cream, walked back to the cache and pretended to watch some nearby construction and found the cache. TNLNSL.

Yum

By: zapboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:05pm The power lines above caused us to wander a bit so we started to look for the blackberry bushes. We found them and the cache a few seconds later. TNLNSL.

GeoBeads #1 ? Around the Corner

By: zapboy with help from workerofwood Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:22pm When this was in the previous location, we visited it a couple of times but didn't have the nerve to look since diners were a few feet away. The new location is a lot easier in terms of being unseen or at least gives you an excuse to be there. TNLNSL.

GeoBeads #8 - A Little Evil

By: zapboy with help from workerofwood Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Spent over half an hour on this one, crossing over the bridge a few times since our GPSr was telling us it was on the other side of the creek no matter which side we were on. We finally got WAAS when we were under the overpass but then it was telling us it was in the middle of the creek. I notice that there's a hint now. It would've helped us a lot if it had been posted when listed but I guess it serves me right to not check the cache page before we go out.

GOT NET?

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

6:12pm The parrots were flying around so Jenn ran back to the car after she found the cache. I noticed digitalfish left one of their fishes but I didn't see it, unless it fell out while I was taking the log out. Future searchers, check the ground in case it's there. TNLNSL.

House of Peace and Grace

By: campyc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

12:17pm Walked up three steep blocks/hills to get to the site from my seminar at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. By the time I go there, my legs were burning. I reached my destination, found the sculpture and took a look around before heading back down the blocks/hills.
