Guadalupe Oak View

By: Sadie's Gang Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

6:05pm Jenn kept a lookout while I made the trek to the cache. Saw a logical spot and found the cache. Took Adamski Adventurers sig item, left CA wooden nickel and my New Jersey geocoin, signed log.

Stonehenge

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:30pm We were in the area so we decided to try this one again. I didn't have the info loaded into my PDA so I called Batfish for some help. While I was talking to him, Jenn made the find, her first of three of these type of hides on the day. TNLNSL.

Oak Trail Kid's Cache

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

5:39pm We had to wait for a clearing in the muggle traffic and then made the grab. TN, left my Dutch geocoin, signed log.

Trapped by Victor

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

DNFDTB (did not find due to bees). I started searching and heard some buzzing. I looked a few feet away and saw a pretty large bee nest hanging from one of the nearby plants. I thought about continuing the search for a second but thankfully my brain took over and said to get the heck out of there. This one definitely needs to be checked on.

Fontana's Watch

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:46pm It took a while and Jenn finally found it by looking at the correct angle. She's getting good finding these, the third of three today. TNLNSL.

Dollar Tree

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:46pm We wandered around for a couple of minutes before Jenn spied the very obvious hiding spot. The previous log said that there had been some trimming and we did see a pile of branches nearby. Maybe the hiding spot has been compromised? Might be worth checking on. TNLNSL.

Ultimate Battleship: Shrinking Battlefield

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

7:12pm Between muggles, made the grab, took Mt. McKinley geocoin, signed log. And yes, there is poison oak very close but for now, it's avoidable.

What? No Cache!

By: summerandnana Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:24pm We were in the area so we decided to try this one again, as it had been replaced in its proper hiding spot. There was an ultimate frisbee game going on so we watched as we searched. It took a few minutes before I saw something and made the find. TNLNSL.

Blinker

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:52pm We used the hint and it still took a couple of minutes to find. Jenn found it, her second of three hidden in this style that she found today. TNLNSL.

Milkshake Mound

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

7:02pm Parked nearby and made the nice walk up the mound. Nice little hide! TN, left my UK and New York geocoins, signed log. CQ2.

Oops, forgot to drop my coins.

101 TFTs - One Pair

By: winini Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:21pm The GPSr was flucuating, probably due to the power lines above so we started searching in logical spots. Spotted the cache soon thereafter. Covered it a little better than found but still visible for the next finder. TNLNSL.

It's a jungle out there

By: frivlas and oneangrypuppy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:42pm We made this one harder that it really is. Should've looked in an obvious spot but we were searching the other obvious spots a little too much. TNLNSL.

G.O.G.

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:44pm While I made a stop at the nearby restroom, Jenn made the find and was signing the log when I got back. Nice container! TNLNSL.

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Look, but don't Touch

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

7:54pm We also parked at the nearby fastfood mecca and made the short walk over to the cache area. I made the quick find while Jenn kept watch over the trail. Took duck, left my EU geocoin and a couple of CA wooden nickels, signed log.

Baylands Teamwork

By: bytemobile Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

We were in the area for the newer caches so I decided to at least look for the first stage. I couldn't find it but now that I read Motorbug's log, I think I might have found it but didn't realize it. We didn't get to search for all of the newer caches so we'll be out there again.

Been Here: Elko and Reamwood

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:41pm When we got to the cache site, the area was deserted, except for the exact area we wanted to search. A muggle was just standing there, presumably waiting for someone in a nearby business. We went off to find another couple of caches then came back to this one and the coast was clear. Jenn made the quick find. TNLNSL.

Been Here: Patrick Henry

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:23pm In the area so we stopped by for this one. Parked nearby and Jenn made the find. Nice hide! Took CA micro coin and will help it along its way, LNSL.

East Pond

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

6:41pm We made the long walk out to the cache and passed a few muggles along the way. When we got to the cache, there was only a goose family with chicks in the area but once they saw us, they hopped into the water and swam away. Took a couple of moments to find the cache but once we did, we TN, dropped our Mt. McKinley geocoin, signed log. CQ8.

FORE!!!!!!

By: Sharkz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:30pm We decided to go look for a couple of caches before it got dark. As we approached the cache site, we could see a couple of teenagers hugging, kissing, etc. So we stood about twenty feet away from them and watched some golfers. The couple soon departed and we were able to easily find the cache. TNLNSL.

By: ppp06059 (maintained by xmts) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:30pm It took a few minutes to find the cache this time, as there was a muggle nearby. She eventually left and we got to search where we wanted to. I saw the cache from a short distance and made the grab. It did take a while to properly place the cache back in its correct position. TNLNSL.

Little Cache of Horrors III

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:20pm Talk about pressure on this one. I went along with Nazgul while he was changing the log so I waited down the street until he replaced it. Luckily, I saw something in my first scan of the area. And I knew how to open it too! First hide of this type I've seen. Very nice! TNLNSL.

Oh, the Horror!

By: WalruZ & Cooperphoto Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:30pm My GPSr wasn't settling down but I had Nazgul with me so he narrowed down the area for me. I checked a few places before thinking, nah, it can't be that. But of course it was. Very clever! TNLNSL.

By: Team Ottlet Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

The Lost Telegram

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

7:12pm I couldn't quite figure out how to get the coordinates so a little fish that flies like a bat pushed me in the right direction. Actually, he shoved me in the right direction and smacked me across the forehead. [:D] Anyway, with the correct coordinates we went to go search today and with a couple of sunny days, there was no mud. Very nice container and logsheet. TNLNSL. CQ6.

Holiday Greetings

By: stbk Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

7:32pm I figured out the solution a while ago and finally made the stop to find this cache. Nice theme that was carried from start to finish. In regards to the story, I've actually swam with honu at Kaanapali Beach. Very nice creatures, unless they come out of the dark blue and you think it's something else. Anyway, took little turtle and left CA wooden nickel, signed log.

Rodeo Creek

By: British Invasion Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Loud

By: 2burbacious (adopted by not2b) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

7:20pm Out for the walk after the passing rain. A couple of muggles were in the vicinity so we had to wait them out. Couldn't find the cache until I brought out my flashlight and it was in the first place I shone my flashlight on. Couldn't sign the log as it is indeed soaked. The alpharomero sig item was sprouting some mold so I left it outside of the cache. TNLNSL.

By: ed777 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

6:32pm The water was flowing pretty good. I remember this path from another cache at the other end of the trail. TNLNSL.

JESTER

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:03pm I had figured out the coordinates to this one last September (with the help of some "tools" I found online) but didn't make the find till today. It was raining so we got soaked but glad to get another WeBeDnD puzzle off my list. TNLNSL.

Hey Bubb!

By: pao_flyer Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Tear Down This Wall!

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:43pm Drove around in a complete circle before Jenn spotted something peeking from behind a fence. Drove around a little more before finding the correct way to the cache. Very interesting that something like this would be in this spot. Found the cache quickly, TNLNSL.

Plant Invasion

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:52pm Easy find and learned some good info, like fennel is the plant that I can usually smell from the trail. TNLNSL.

Stevens Creek Marsh

By: TimberToo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

6:50pm A mallard decided to stay put next to the trail so I went on ahead while Jenn stayed put far away from the duck. Easy find, then headed back to where Jenn was waiting. On the way back, a great blue heron decided to stay put next to the trail. A couple of snails thrown at it didn't make it budge but some stomping and yelling finally made it fly away. The coast was clear and we headed back to the car after a few hours of caching.

Byxbee Park

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:39pm I forgot to load this one into my GPSr and PDA but I had an idea where it should be. Found it in the first place I looked. Did the old tying your shoelace trick and grabbed it. I think I took the mjp303 sig item, left micro sig token, signed log.

State of Confusion

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:39pm Nothing like doing a little caching in the rain. Well, at least a slight drizzle at this point. Anyway, I had solved this one sometime last fall but didn't get out till today to find it. It was an easy find, as it was lying on the ground. I put it back in the most appropriate spot but this one might need some TLC as the log was damp also. TNLNSL.

Home Brew

By: zapboy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:10pm We first drove to the wrong parking lot, then took a look across the street and saw where our destination really was. A quick u-turn and we parked and started our search. Took about a minute before we found the appropriate cache container. TNLNSL. CQ16.

Steeple Chase #1

By: southbayday Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

5:32pm Took a while to find this one and the pouring rain wasn't helping. Just as we were giving up, I searched one more spot and found the cache. I thought, why didn't I search that earlier, I wouldn't be as soaked as I am. Took Acadia coin and Grand Canyon pin, left CA geocoin and two CA wooden nickels, signed log.

Shopping for a cache

If You Build It They Will Come

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

7:03pm Like kablooey said, it wasn't really fun to search for. We parked where we weren't supposed to but there wasn't much traffic on an early Sunday night so we said, what the heck. I did search in the bushes and trees but Jenn made the find from the street. You really don't have to leave the street to find it but you need a good eye as it blends in well. This is a "just because" cache, as in, I hid it just because. TNLNSL.

Tai Chi View

By: alpharomero.com Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

6:13pm It was raining so we were the only ones in the park. Took a couple of minutes before we made the grab. TNLNSL.

There Was a Farmer Had a Dog...

By: calipidder Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:54pm I tried to solve this one last night or should I say early this morning but I wasn't lucid enough to figure it out. I even had to start over, as I first used pencil and paper, then got distracted and forgot where I was in the puzzle. So I made an Excel template and got some numbers. Jenn tried it also and got the same numbers, and after confirming the coords we were off to the cache. It had started to rain but luckily the cache was in the first place I looked. Took TB and Calipidder token, left my last sig keychain, signed log. CQ3.

GeoBeads #10 - Star Light, Star Bright

By: zapboy with help from workerofwood Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
