Busted Bunny Cache

3:02pm I brought my pops along today to try and find this one we DNFed before because we stopped short of the trail to the top. Today, we drove up the paved road and parked within 500 feet of the cache. I was looking around for good hiding spots, looked down and there was the cache at my feet. TNLNSL.

Cruising by today and took a look at the info we needed. We had tried to find the cache when it was there a while ago but there was a muggle in the parking lot in plain view of the cache spot. Hopefully when the construction ends, you can hide another cache there. It's a very educational spot that every visitor to Hawaii should try to stop at.

old road to Lahaina

2:33pm Went caching with my pops for a few hours today. Tackled this one first, not too bad a walk and the great views keep you distracted. Easy find, took Cartman TB, Little Britan TB, turtle, NM sig item, left CA wooden nickel, Raiders antenna topper, signed log. P.S. There were no other TB's in the cache so the other TB's listed should probably be marked as missing.

Viking Rock

3:41pm I brought my pops along for some caching today and it took a while but we finally found the cache. It was quite warm today and the ocean looked really cool, but this wasn't the place to take a dip. Lots of nice beaches further down towards Lahaina. And thanks for taking us to another historical spot we never knew about, even though we've lived on Maui for many, many years. TNLNSL.

Add another DNF to the long list. Even with the new hint, we searched for about twenty minutes before giving up. Not our favorite type of hide at all but I'm sure the challenge will bring us back to look for it.

Killarny Farms Oak

5:51pm We couldn't find this one when it was hidden near the bush and it took a couple of minutes to find it this time. It's kind of hard to be stealthy in this spot, maybe it's a better night cache. TNLNSL.

6:15pm This one took about fifteen minutes to find, as we showed up in time to hear the bells chime at 6pm. We looked for about 14 minutes before the batteries in my GPSr ran out of juice. Went back to the car to put in fresh ones but didn't need the GPSr because I walked right up to the cache after that. TNLNSL.

Razor Sharp Catwalk

Another DNF for us. We searched for about fifteen minutes before giving up. We did get to see a Caltrain go past us below. Now that I read the previous logs, I know what type of cache container we're looking for so we'll try again some other time.

We searched for about twenty minutes, finding a couple of really good hiding spots but no cache. We can never find the Somewhere series caches on our first try so we kind of expected this. Will try again when we're in the area next.

Half Dome in the Park

8:00pm Like the last finder, we searched the wrong "half dome" for about twenty minutes before finding the correct "half dome". Didn't have to do any climing or ascending as the cache was sitting there, open, with the logbook sitting right next to it. After we TNLNSL, we replaced it where the hint refers to.

6:02pm Yeah, our first letterbox hybrid! We took the nice walk down to the cache and saw lots of lizards along the trail sunning themselves. We even got to see the California newts swimming in the stream nearby. That was cool! Stamped the book with our koi stamp and stamped our book with the lizard stamp. TNLNSL.

Operation Futari

7:03pm #1000!!! Yippee!!! We were close to 1000 finds and saw that Sgt. Stitches had done this one for his 1000th find. Seemed like a great cache for a milestone, as the story relates to my heritage as well as Jenn's heritage, which also made some of the solving easier. Great story from start to finish and a couple of the stages were very, very appropriate. We'd passed by one of the stages many times before, not knowing it was there of course. The actual find was easier than solving for the coordinates and we took a while to read the story and look through the cache. Took some pictures too, and had a nice walk back to the car. Mahalo nui loa!!!

Oh yeah, I took sheet #3, so there should be 4-7 left.

9:24pm Stopped by after dinner and after buying a scoop each, we lingered outside to eat our dessert and look for the cache. It took about ten minutes until we both noticed something and there was the cache. Very nice! TNLNSL. And I thought we were supposed to lose weight from all the caching. Instead, caching tonight brought us a half dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and two scoops of ice cream. [:D]

Alviso Marina -- Nature and History Walk

6:39pm We were out for a nice walk after work and decided to head out to Alviso. The marina looked like a whole new place since he hadn't been there in about two years. We made the necessary walk around the place and got all the info. Thankfully, the checksum added up and we walked over to the cache. First time I've seen that type of container. 7:17pm That was a cool looking power pole. After we made the cache grab, a husky came walking over to us. His owner was exercising him/her by driving around in his van and letting his dog follow him. Dead Duck

I got home early from work and knew Jenn wouldn't want to go look for this one based on the title of the cache. So I made the short walk out to the cache site. Spent about half an hour, getting poked by plants, stepping in goose poo, and not finding the cache. I had a good satellite lock and WAAS but couldn't come up with the cache. Maybe when the grass and plants die down I'll go search again.

Baylands Teamwork

Back today to do a few of the stages. The last time we looked I did indeed have the cache in hand but didn't realize it. Found five of the stages today and will come back another time to finish up. Thanks for the 4+ miles of walking today! I'd rather be caching than walking on a treadmill for an hour.

6:39pm I had taken a look at this one when it was first published but didn't have a clue what to do. A month ago, I decided to look at it again and the solution popped into my head. A short while later, I had the correct coordinates but didn't venture out to the cache until today. Took about fifteen minutes, as the last part of the hint doesn't seem to apply to the hide. Luckily, I saw something and that was the cache. TNLNSL.
