We really loathe juniper hides so we probably shouldn't have even tried to find this one. We spent a good fifteen minutes trying to find this one. I just read the previous logs and it looks like we didn't even need to touch the juniper. If that's the case, we might try again one day.

The day this one came out, I figured out half of the coordinates and the other half after the cache was moved. We went to look for it today and also think we found a good spot for a film canister but didn't find it.

3:24pm We usually skip over multis but this one didn't sound too bad. It led us to some cool sculptures and we soon had the coords in hand. It turned out we parked very near to the cache so we just had to outwait a family of muggles and Jenn made the find and grab. TNLNSL.

6:40pm We decided to time this one since it sounded like a hard one to find and it's an M & J cache to boot. We looked and looked and looked, over here and over there, down here, up there, until we were just about to give up. We decided to concentrate on one thing one more time and we both spotted it at about the same time. Clever hide! Does the second part of the hint still apply because it sure didn't today. TNLNSL. Oh yeah, it took us about ten minutes to find.

7:27pm #1300!!! The solution to this one was a lot quicker than finding it. I took about five minutes to find the coords compared to about half an hour of us looking all over the place and then finding the cache somewhere we didn't expect it to be. We were about to give up until I gave one last look and saw a piece of the cache. TNLNSL.

11:37am My parents are in town so while my mom cooked us some apple dumplings, I took my Dad out to find this cache. We had a nice stroll out to the cache site, spotting some ducks, some geese and a cormorant. Got to the cache site and we searched for a few minutes before I expanded my search area and saw a perfect spot for a cache. And there it was. Nicely hidden! We first drove past this one at around 2pm, but there seemed to be an amarous couple parked right next to the cache so we did a few more caches, then tried again around 3:30pm. No one was around so we searched for about fifteen minutes with no luck. I'll have to read the previous logs to see if I can pick up a clue. We'll be back!

USA-Europe TB and Geocoin Swapmeet II

We arrived a little late and while waiting for our food, we were told there was evidence that the ECB had been hopping around. So we looked under the table and what do you know, a nice little purple egg was sitting there. And inside was a pink and green ECB geocoin! Mahalo ECB! We also had a great time talking to everyone and meeting Olaf, who I had conversed with over email and traded geocoins in the past. And of course, with the yummy food a great time was had by all!

Runner's Paradise 1

5:15pm It was a little windy but we decided to make the nice walk out to the cache site. A few birds here and there and a worker muggle but other than that, no one was around. It took a few minutes before I saw the cache at an angle. It took another few moments to figure out how to get the cache out of its hiding place. Retrieve the cache, took a turtle, left a geopin and my traveling Geoquest geocoin, signed log. BTW, the ground where you're most likely to step to retrieve the cache seems to be crumbling a bit. It might give way one of these days so be careful!

7:03pm Stage one was found easily but getting the coords for stage two proved I don't have enough patience (especially when you're hungry and have to pee). I found the second part of the coords with the first twist but after three more twists and trying to replace the logs, we gave up and replaced stage one, then walked over to stage two and made the grab. 4:46pm A few seconds after we spotted the cache we heard someone on a bike pull up. We weren't sure it was a cacher until we saw someone making his way through the trees, instead of taking the geotrail. It was Nazgul, along with Workerofwood, and a bunch of REIers. WOW's token barely hit the cache before I snapped it up and traded a geopin for it. So took WOW token, left a geopin and my traveling Texas Challenge geocoin (which I think WOW grabbed) and signed log. Oh yeah, I'm not an artist by any means, so I added some clouds to the barren sky. Nice little picture you have going there.

6:47pm We parked across the street and made our way to the stump. We used the hint right away but searched a few spots to no avail. We were about to call a lifeline but decided to check a few more spots first. Jenn saw something and there was the cache. I looked at the cache a couple of times but it blends in so well my brain didn't say, That's the cache! TNLNSL.
