Stinky Bug drop

3:15pm We're traveling from the Bay Area to Oregon and have a bunch of our traveling geocoins to release. This one sounded like a good cache to find. This one took us a lot longer to find than it should have because the sun was shining at the precise spot to make the cache hard to see, even though it was just lying there in its hiding spot. Anyway, took the Unite TB, Ham Radio geocoin, left my traveling Dry Creek and traveling Parrolet geocoins, signed log.

A Sinking Feeling: The Suisun Marsh & the Railroad

1:28pm We were on our way to Oregon and decided to make a stop along the marsh. We took in the views of the California hillsides and spotted a few species of wildlife. Thanks for bringing us to a different type of Earthcache.

4:44pm We made the short walk to the parking lot and after being led astray by my GPSr, Jenn made the find. The last finders were frivlas and family, cachers we know well from the Bay Area. Seems we'd been following their route. Anyway, took the Unite TB, motogrrl geocoin, left my traveling Bad Andy and British Bulldog geocoins, signed log.

Dunnigan Quadrangle

2:24pm We were on our way to Oregon from the Bay Area and needed to find a cache in Yolo County and this one fit the bill. Nice spot, with the community park/playground and the interesting/cute church across the street. TNLNSL.

A Place of Remeberance

8:15pm After DNFing the virtual in the same park, we thought this one would be easier. It was easier but it still took a while to find the needed info. Eight hours of driving from the Bay Area really tired us out and we didn't have our usual caching abilities. Thanks for bringing us to this cool spot!

Northbound I-5 "PIT" Stop

4:37pm #1400 This one didn't take us ten seconds to find like shadow101 did but we'd seen similar hides so it took us about twenty seconds. [:D] Nice cache! We had to use the shoelace tying technique to replace it in between all of the afterwork cars passing by. Thanks for making this a cool 1400th find!

Coyote Creek - North McCarthy Entry

4:44pm After trying to figure this one out several times over the two+ years that it's been live, I finally got some help from a fellow cacher and we worked on it together. I wasn't sure of my coords until I looked at the spot on Google Earth and the spot made sense. Made the drive over today and made the short walk from where we parked. Had to look in a couple of spots until we found the cache. Took the old logsheet to return to the cache owner, LNSL.

6:48pm We parked near the Visitor Center but our GPSr said the cache was on the other side. So we parked near Panera Bread and Wing Stop and made the walk over. When we got there, the GPSr said it was on the other side. But we finally figured out where it was leading us and we spotted the cache. TN, left a Unite TB, SL.

7:19pm As we approached the spot, who should we see but CC. He told us not to go look for the cache yet as he had it in hand. He let us sign the log first before replacing it so we didn't have to replace the log once again. After he replaced it, we had a look and made the find. TNLNSL.

5:48pm Decided to try this one again today and as we pulled into the parking lot we saw a security guard walking near the cache. I know that security knows about it but I still didn't feel comfortable. After grabbing another cache and a couple of Jamba Juices, we headed back. The coast was clear and we made the grab. I can't believe we didn't see that last time, although last time, there was a stench that made us turn around quicker than we should have. 2:24pm This was our intended destination this nice summer day and we lucked out as the tunnel was open. After viewing the pillows, we were able to make the walk over the bridge to the lighthouse. Don't look down! That's what I kept telling myself as we crossed the bridge. But a very cool spot both geologically and historically.

1:35pm We almost parked at the wrong spot but figured out there had to be closer parking. We finally found the correct road and was able to park a short walk away. Great views from here. I think I figured out where the cache was originally placed.

Marin Headlands One

1:03pm We decided to drive up from the South Bay to do some North Bay caching. This was our first stop. The parking lot was full of cars but we lucked out and got a space on the first pass through the lot. Found the required answer and took a few photos of the Bridge from this picturesque spot.

3:15pm We made this a longer walk than needed be, but at least we got to see both of the Construction 129 sites, including the site where the spot for the gun hasn't been filled in. Very cool! We finally made it to the spot and took in the awesome view of the SF area. Might be the nicest spot around!

6:30pm Took a while to find the entrance but when we past it, I knew that was the spot. So we did another lap around the block and parked across the street from the entrance. Very cool spot most people don't know can be found in the middle of SF. 5:39pm I got a hint on this one a while back but couldn't figure out what to do. This cache came up in conversation the other day and I decided to try again. And what do you know, I find the info I needed and took a few minutes to figure out the coords. And when I got to the site, I knew I was in the right spot. 3:45pm Back home for a quick trip and decided to go find at least one cache. Took my parents along for the walk down the beach and through the trees to the cache spot. Although my GPS was telling me the cache was another 70 feet down the trail, I saw the obvious geotrail and followed it to the cache. Took the HI Micro geocoin and TB, LNSL.
