Sand and Smores, Summer No More

Thanks to Ron and Stacey for the very fun event. The weather was great, as well as the nice conversation and yummy smores! We enjoyed playing Blongoball and dipping our toes into the cold ocean water. Mahalo!

2:57pm We parked near the "Secret Trailhead" and made the walk out to this one. No one was around here, everyone was at the beach. Easy find, then checked out the view but didn't get too close to the edge. TN, left my traveling SoMDCacherz Geocoin, signed log.

3:36pm Actually, we hadn't found the cache yet but we were refueling with a nice sandwich from Emily's Bakery in Santa Cruz. We did see dbased later at the Smores Event. This was a nice easy find and we like the natural stairs. Took the traveling Blue Canary geocoin, left my traveling Golden State geocoin, signed log.

4:32pm We had found th' other Dead Man`s Chest cache some time ago but fer some reason, this one didna load into me GPSr at th' time. We came aft today t' make th' grab. 't tookst a while t' find parkin', then tookst a wee minutes t' find th' cache. When I started t' read th' message, at first 't didna make sense but th' light bulb suddenly turned on. Got th' needed info an' off t' th' find th' puzzle. TNLNSL.

View From The Office Too

We tried for this one today but didn't find anything. I think I confirmed my coords with vaudesir but maybe I didn't. I just checked and I did confirm my coords but for some reason, the coords in my GPSr are the coords without subtracting for the latitude and adding for the longitude.

Just made the correction so we'll be back to search for this one. Doh!

5:06pm We had done the initial number retrieving and calculations a while ago, maybe over a year ago. Finally got over to look for this one today. It took a few moments to finally spot the cache. I got a bit dirty but managed to brush myself off pretty good. =) TNLNSL.
