By: Castle Man Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Fall Classic Meet & Greet

By: southbayday, Nielsenc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Large

We got there a bit late and there was only one piece of pizza left. We were about to share it, when reinforcements were brought. Yeah! We had a bit to eat, had some good conversations and were "Lucky Losers" too, although we did find a Great Geo-Pumpkin geocoin later, so we're also winners! Mahalo to the organizers for the great time!

LT003 Stateline

By: ltva Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:44pm After doing a last bit of gambling before heading home to the Bay Area, we went looking for this one. The hint didn't help much as it doesn't pertain to where the cache was hidden but we made the find just the same. TNLNSL, then the long drive home.

Mile Marker #52

By: applejohn Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

1:55pm No muggles around today so we could search without being disturbed. It's a good thing, because it took a few minutes. I finally made the find after some scrambling and TN, left my traveling Georgia geocoin, signed log.

LT038 Fire Tower

By: ltva Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:33pm After driving past all of the homes we'd never be able to afford, we parked near the tower and made the quick find. Took a wooden nickel, left a patch, my traveling SEPAG Geocoin, Martka's Geocoin, signed log.

LT010 Kahle Park Cache

By: ltva Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

5:56pm Our last cache of the day. This one took a while to find, as our GPSr said we were about 40 feet off when we found the cache. I actually spotted the hiding spot earlier in our search but didn't look better. TN, left my travling Quigley Jones Geocoin, signed log.

LT036 Bal-Bijou Dance Hall

By: ltva Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

11:51am We're used to this sort of camo in the Bay Area so we spotted the cache as we drove up. Made the easy grab but had a harder time putting the bag back into the cache. TNLNSL.

Mile Marker # 48

By: applejohn Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:37pm This was an awesome Mile Marker cache to look for. There were a few muggles looking at the fish so we got out of caching mode for a while and became wildlife lovers. The fish were so cool and I've never seen anything like it. After the muggles left we started searching...the wrong spots, until I saw that the terrain was only 1. After redirecting our search we made the spot and finally figured out how to make the grab. TNLNSL.

Bell With A View

By: lindav Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

12:29pm This one took a little longer than it should have but we were searching the wrong objects at first. Jenn finally made the find. Our GPSr was pointing us in another direction so I'll post the coords we got. TNLNSL.

By: Moon Joy of Team Paulwhy Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Lucky Baldwin Virtual Cache

By: BBQ-Stain & Bullseye-Ron Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

1:00pm We first went down the wrong road, then found the correct one. Made the short walk from the parking lot to the cache site. Very cool log and lots of rings. Mahalo for the cache!

Inspiration Point

By: TahoeBerne Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

2:07pm #1600!!! We had decided to make this one a milestone so we had to pick up a few caches along the way to get us to 1599. We had been to this spot about four years ago but didn't have the printout (yep, before we became paperless cachers). Today, it was drizzling a little but the bay and island wer e still cool to see. Took a few pics and will upload when we get home. Thanks for the cache!

Lakeview For You

By: Adopted By SNSpencer From TahoeBerne Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

12:02pm As we drove up we saw a bunch of geese near the mural. Jenn thought she might be able to tough it out but as we got nearer from our parking spot, we saw a bunch of seagulls hanging around too. Jenn went back to the car and I took a pic using my camera timer. Will upload when we get back home. Mahalo!

manram

By: manram Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

12:11pm We parked in the parking area and made our way down to the cache site, trying to avoid all the dog poop along the path. It's amazing that there are so many dog owners here that don't pick up after their pooch. Anyway, once we got to the cache site it was an easy find. Took Frogger TB, left my traveling Cent Geocoin, signed log.

Anniversary Cache

By: Kolly Wobbels and 47Dad47 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

2:26pm When we saw the name of this cache, we knew we had to stop here, as we're celebrating our 1st anniversary in Tahoe. We got married on 10/8/06 in Wailea, Maui. We took a few pics, then went looking for the cache. We scrambled a bit, then I spotted the cache. TN, left my traveling Delicious Cache Geocoin, signed log. Happy Anniversary!!!

LT007 Chukar Plug

By: ltva Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:40pm We took the nice drive through the very nice neighborhood and saw all of the homes we'd never be able to afford. We got to the cache site and using the hint it was a quick find. TN, left my traveling Hawai`i Geohana Geocoin, signed log.

Logan Shoals Vista Point

By: Adopted By SNSpencer From TahoeBerne Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

5:53pm Our 100th virtual! Yippee! I remembering stopping here about four years ago but we didn't find this virtual for some reason. Back for our anniversary and the Lake is as beautiful as it was back then. Mahalo for the cache!

I & L Anniversary Cache

By: Isolino Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

6:01pm I remembering this spot from four years ago, our first trip to the Lake. Back for our 1st anniversary and we had to find this cache. We had fun scrambling around the rocks and even saw a chipmunk. Took a few looks to spot the cache. TNLNSL. Happy Anniversary!

Autograph Hound

By: jgladding Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

6:22pm We almost decided to skip this one because the parking spaces said a day pass was needed. But we kept driving and parked in the nearest RV space. No one was around so we scrambled up and down the hill, getting startled by a bunny, and made the find. Cool, I think I saw about three baseballs in the cache, all signed, so I signed the soccer ball, also getting full of signatures. TNLNSL.

Elev. 6555

By: vaccine Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

5:01pm Up in Tahoe for our anniversary and we made sure to look for this awesome cache. In fact, it was our first and boy it was fun, the nice short hike and scrambling all around the rocks. We found the cache, made some trades, took a few pictures and checked out the views. Mahalo Vaccine for a memorable cache!

Cave Rock Trail Head

By: vaccine Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:27pm We decided to bypass this one and go for Elev. 6555 first. On the way back our GPSr was pointing in a place that wouldn't be 1.5 terrain so we thought for a second where it should be and there it was. TN, left my traveling HI Micro geocoin, signed log.

Cigars (Ca.)

By: rscout79 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

We decided to walk around the Stanford campus and find some caches. Unfortunately, we went 0 for 3, this being the first one we looked for. After about fifteen minutes of searching, I thought I had found the cache but no cigar, it was just a red herring. I guess we aren't smarter than a fifth grader! We still had a nice time walking around the campus.

MAYA'S TIME

By: Rain734 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

We decided to walk around the Stanford campus and find some caches. Unfortunately, we went 0 for 3, this being the second one we looked for. We must've done our calculations wrong as we ended up in a spot where no cache could be hidden. We still enjoyed our walk.

Geo Baby's Picnic

By: Geo Baby Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

4:06pm After having a sandwich lunch at the picnic area, we made the slow long hike to this cache. There was no one else on the trail, only the sounds of squirrels scrambling across the leaves. We spotted the picnic table, then soon thereafter made the grab. Took the Green Jeep TB, left my traveling Anza and Motogrrl - Europe geocoins, som e Scion swag, signed log.

Spring Time

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:03pm We both had the day off so we decided to try hiking in Alum Rock for the first time. This was our first stop. We definitely smelled the mineral springs. Took a couple of glances to spot the nice hide. TNLNSL.

Alum Rock Overlook

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

4:18pm After finding Geo Baby's Picnic, we headed to this one. We kept an eye out for any snakes but none were to be seen. We spotted the cache and it's nice hiding spot, took a few pictures, took a pin and button, left some Scion swag and my traveling Motogrrl - Ireland and Beach Ball geocoins, signed log. Then back down the mountain. We were sure glad we took the other way up and went back down this way!

By: jellis50 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
