Marymeade Park - Notso Lame

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:45pm Yep, this one wasn't lame at all. This one took about fifteen minutes to find as we examined many, many things that would have made a nice cache. Something eventually caught my eye and I made the find. Very cool! TNLNSL. P.S. to Nazgul, we didn't see or find a pocket knife at the cache site.

Forever Green

By: Rocketgirl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:13pm We did a quick drive by to scout out the area. We saw a nice path but that wasn't where the cache was. Parked down the street and made the walk over to the cache site. There was a family playing in their driveway but we were blocked from their view. Took a few moments to spot the cache. TNLNSL.

Nestled In

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:06pm We drove up to the cache site and there was a car parked next to where we wanted to search. Luckily, no one was inside so we made the quick find. Our car smelled like eucalyptus the rest of the day. TNLNSL.

El Camino Skylights

By: bullit Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:36pm Very cool skylights! Is that what they were working on the whole time there was construction on El Camino? Anyway, we made the nice walk down to the cache site and Jenn zeroed in and found the cache. TNLNSL.

Sleeping Beauty

By: Rosie the Kitten & her Dad Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

5:21pm This one was a nice walk in the park, I think we both spotted it at about the same time but from different angles. Jenn made the grab and we TN, left our traveling Magic 8-Ball and Buffalo Wing geocoins, signed log. Covered it up a bit better as we wouldn't want a muggle thinking it something other than a cache.

Blink and You'll Miss It

By: GoGoJo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:31pm We found the trailhead easily as we've been here before to find caches down the other side of the trail. As we were starting off on the trail, I mentioned to Jenn that I thought there used to be a house here but I guess it got demolished to make way for the landscaping. We made the nice walk down to the cache and it took a few moments to find the cache. TNLNSL.

Summer... I scream, You scream, We all scream.

By: nielsenc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

We arrived at 4:15pm, knowing that the time had been changed to 5pm, but hoping that the ice cream was already there as it was really HOT! But no luck, first ones there. The ice cream eventually got there and boy was it delicious. Thanks Christian for the fun event! And happy summer to everyone!

Twin Creeks

By: Scouts Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

7:05pm We planned on searching for this one yesterday but when we got out of the car it was quite cold and we didn't have the proper outerwear. So back home and another try today. This time it was quite warmer and we didn't even need our jackets. We made the nice walk out to the cache and didn't even need our GPSr as we spotted the cache very easily. My mom still uses this type of container in her kitchen, but a yellow color. Took the lollipops (didn't eat them), left a keychain and my traveling Cache is King and 911Turbos geocoins, signed log. After finding the cache I went looking for the nearby benchmark, which is usually hard to get because the area is surrounded by water. It was dry today so I went for a look. Found it, then back to the car. There was a soccer game going on and just as we walked past someone kicked the ball over the fence, right into my hands!

Friday Night Meet & Greet

By: RCGDS & NUTS Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

I heard that TPTB don't want to take away from the mega-ness that was GW6 by changing the Meet and Greet to a Mega Event, which I can see. After all, it is just another number next to your Mega Event icon. [:D]

Who Shot Sierra?

By: DaFunkyFrogs Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:23pm No sheriffs today at the cache so Jenn was able to make the quick find after I was looking elsewhere. TNLNSL.

EarliGrapes

By: DaFunkyFrogs Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:15pm We were in the area so decided to stop for a couple of caches to get a new county. This one was easy and after we TNLNSL, we admited the wine grapes hanging from the nearby vines. Mahalo!

An American Legend

By: littleyellow Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

1:01pm We were visiting all of the stars in Hollywood and took the short walk to this one. I had heard of this place, even read something about the owner saving another type of these establishments and refurbishing it for more than it would have cost to tear it down and build it from scratch. Mahalo for the cache!

Towsley Canyon Landslides

By: EMC of Northridge, CA Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

#1800!!! 2:14pm We needed a cool cache for our milestone #1800 and this Earthcache suited this so we made the quick stop. We parked in the gravel parking area and made the short walk over to the coordinates. Looks like the landslides have been overtaken by vegetation. We also heard rattling in the bushes, rattlesnake or just bugs? Mahalo for the cache!
