udated - Just in time for the holidays

By: howeler & Mira Jade Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

4:35pm We were at the Great Mall so we decided to look for this one since the park was still open. No one was around since it was getting a little chilly. Took a few minutes to find as I finally read previous logs and guessed where the cache would be. Took a TB, NLSL.

SFWD-SCVWD water

By: howeler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

4:52pm We parked in an adjacent lot and made the short walk over to the cache. Our GPSr was pointing us in the wrong spot so we finally looked around and made the find. TNLNSL.

3331

By: howeler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:09pm We parked in the nearby lot and walked over to the cache site. We searched a few spots for a few minutes, didn't see anything, then tried another spot. Finally tried to spot something relating to the title of the cache and found what we were looking for. Took a Pathtag, left a geocoin, signed log.

Run to Sunnyvale

By: geomagguy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:46pm We parked nearby and started searching. I spotted something black and it turned out to be a makeup bag with makeup and accessories inside. We left it there and started looking again. I finally spotted something and it was the cache. TNLNSL.

Light Around the Bend

By: vtluu Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:52pm I live about 6/10ths of a mile away from this one so I had driven past the spot many times on the way to Fry's. No one around on this nice Thanksgiving Day so we made the quick find. The log was a little damp. TNLNSL.

Round-Corner

By: tonton-ca Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:59pm No one around on this Thanksgiving Day so we parked in the nearby business lot and walked over. Using the hint, we made the quick find. Took the Limpet TB, left my traveling Poland and Caching In The Holidays geocoins, signed log.

Mag-o-Mead

By: TeamSneed Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

4:12pm According to our GPSr map, we were on the correct side of the water but according to our search, we weren't. I spotted something on the other side, we then drove to the other side, and made the find where I had spotted from the other side. Does that make sense? Anyway, the logsheet was soaked and unsignable so we grabbed a piece of paper from our car and signed a new logsheet. This will definitely get soaked with the next rain. Needs a more waterproof container for the logsheets to last. TNLNSL.

Box O'stuff

By: sneedteam Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4:18pm Like the last finder, we didn't understand what the hint meant or didn't see what it referred to but after a few minutes, I spotted the cache. TN, left my traveling MustangJoni geocoin, signed log.

The Decachelon Club

By: xmts Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:30pm Since it was Thanksgiving, all of the nearby businesses were closed and so we parked near the start of the walkway/path. Walked up and down following our GPSr, finding objects that referred to the hint but didn't see anything. Spread out some more and finally spotted the cache. TNLNSL.

Where The Sidewalk Ends

By: Somethings Fishy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:16pm Yep, the sidewalk definitely ends here! Quick find on this nice Thanksgiving day. TNLNSL.

Trailer Park DMZ

By: Boulter, Adopted by : Atomsoup Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:07pm The only border guards around the DMZ on this Thanksgiving day were a great egret, a great blue heron, and some mallards. Took a few minutes to find as the power lines above seemed to take us here and there. Finally spotted something and there was the cache. TNLNSL.

Where It Ends

By: boulter Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:37pm I had solved this one many moons ago and had driven past the spot surveying where the cache might be. Today we parked about half a mile away, walked over to the cache and as I was about to grab the cache, Jenn said she didn't have a pen. So we did a couple of other caches first, then grabbed then pen, then back to this cache. I made the grab and opened it and what do you know, there was a pencil in the cache! Signed the log, then attempted to replace it several times but the magnet wasn't sticking. I finally got it wedged in, hopefully it stays. TNLNSL.

It was great seeing Mark again and talking geocoins with him. And great to see everyone else as well of course. Thanks to M J for setting this up!

Alviso: Port of Entry

By: tonton-ca (adopted by OneAngryPuppy) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

4:44pm After doing a couple of stages for the Refuge Roundup multi cache, we stopped by this cache. We walked past the cache, then thought it might be in the nearby building parking lot since our GPSr said it was still 90+ feet away (because of the power lines). But on the way back to the car, Jenn spotted the cache. Took the Generic Micro geocoin, left my traveling Spain, Fluttershy, and Caching in the Holidays (G) geocoins, signed log.

Get Thee to a Meadery!

By: Alpharomero.com Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:04pm We parked across the street and walked over to the cache. We had to keep walking as there was a red light and cars stopped there. When the light changed green and all the cars had left, we made the grab. After getting back to the car, we drove a little bit down the street and saw the meadery. Learn something new every day! TNLNSL.

Pogo Stick

By: runeshower Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:54pm Like another cacher said, I spotted the hiding spot as we were turning the corner. Parked in the nearby lot and walked over to the cache. It did take a couple of moments to spot the cache, which Jenn did. TNLNSL.

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Even though we just had dinner there tonight, we'll attend just because Avroair's so cool. =)

Garlic Workout

By: Team Stamos TKD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:07pm Made the drive down to Gilroy to do some shopping and since there was still an hour of sunlight left, we decided to do some caching. Parked nearby and after looking in a couple of spots, Jenn made the find of the neat cache. TNLNSL.

The River Runs Wild

By: dartcat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:53pm We should have trusted our instincts on which level the cache was going to be on but we didn't. So after looking in a few spots, we decided to go look for another cache down the path, except we soon figured out, it was on the other side of the stream. So we walked back, went to the correct level and quickly found the cache. TNLNSL.

Walk This Way

By: angel827 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

5:07pm We first tried looking for this cache on another path, but found out it was still 300 feet away across the stream. So back to the car, drove a little, then parked again. Walked down and started looking. It was getting darker so we looked for about ten minutes, didn't see anything and just as we were about to quit, Jenn spotted something that made her look in that area and she found the cache. TNLNSL.

Pool of Enchantment

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:11pm After visiting the revamped CA Academy of Sciences (awesome rainforest exhibit!), we took a walk over to the DeYoung and checked out the surrounding garden area. Took a while to find this cache, as our GPSr took us away from where we eventually found the cache. Didn't have a pen, so I tried using dirt and my PDA stylus to sign our name. It's faint but it's there. TNLNSL.

Don't Get Sucked In !!

By: Splashman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

After visiting Rodeo Drive, our next stop was the Santa Monica Pier. It was overcast but we made our way out onto the pier, taking in the sights. It started to rain but we got the answers and then headed for cover. Thanks for the cache!
