Mississippi Loess

By: Eagle700 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

We're on a cross country road trip and decided to visit the Vicksburg Military National Park. We visited the Visitor's Center, did a portion of the driving tour, then headed for this EC. Our GPSr shot us past the correct spot a couple of times until we looked around and saw what we needed. Thanks for the EC!

Too bad they don't keep the water in cleaner condition. TNLNSL.

By: JPFREAK Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

1:31pm Before heading to Arkansas from Missouri, we stopped by Oklahoma to find a cache. This one was the closest off the toll road so we went to look for it. It took us a while to find, before I spotted something from atop the road. TN, left my traveling Crikey Fundraiser and Dutch 2007 geocoins and something shiny, signed log. Mahalo for the OK cache!

Cache Across America -- Kansas

By: k_statealan Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:07pm Since my dad once attended KSU, we went to visit the campus on our cross country road trip. I loaded some surrounding caches and I was surprised to find a Cache Across America geocache. It was the first thing we did when getting to Manhattan. We took the longer but easier approach to the cache, then I did the bushwhacking while Jenn stayed above. I eventually found the cache, the coords are right on. TN, left my traveling Virtual Ghost, Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon, Geoguitar, and GW5 shirt geocoins and some other shiny stuff, SL.

Missouri's First - Watts Mill

By: Steve Brown (Adopted by webscouter.) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

It took a while but we eventually found the correct path and made the grab. TN, left my traveling West Virginia and Dookie geocoins and some other shiny stuff, signed log.

Cerro de Museos Uno

By: Team Donutdog Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2:54pm Parked nearby and started in the wrong direction at first. Got our direction corrected then took about ten minutes to find the cache, which Jenn did. Yep, it's on the ground so it'll have to be resecured to wherever it was originally hidden. TNLNSL.

By: Markox Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

11:18am Our first cache in New Mexico! We wanted to go to the Intl Rattlesnake Museum but when we got there it was closed due to an "illness". Guess they only have one employee. So we decided to go find this cache. We took a few wrong turns but finally found what we were looking for. There was someone there already taking photos and someone else was telling her about the history of this spot. TFTC!

Putt Putt

By: streetwalker1 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:45pm After a round of mini golf where Jenn rang the bell and won a free round, we decided to walk over and look for this cache without a GPSr. While we were searching a mom and daughter asked us if there was an In-N-Out Burger nearby. We said there was one nearby, but it was a very long walk to get there! So back to searching and I finally found the cache, first thinking it was something else. TNLNSL.
