Mayor Eddie Tam Memorial Park

By: mojedo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:01pm We've been to this park many times, mostly for soccer games. Not many people around today, just some school kids sitting on the bleachers. We had old info on our PDA so we were looking for a different cache container. But we spotted the new cache quickly and made the grab. TNLNSL.

Paniolo Town Reading Spot

By: syamato Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

2:50pm In the area and decided to stop by to try this cache. Didn't have the info in my PDA but I remembered enough of the hint to find what I needed. We searched one spot first, didn't have much luck, thought something might be missing. So asked for Carla who wasn't there. The librarian that was there kept telling us that we needed to find it. She didn't seem to understand what we were trying to tell her but eventually she understood and pointed us somewhere else. We then made the find, cool cache! TNLNSL.

LVLG #4 - Waihee Ridge - Last Chance for Shade

By: Mikepcap Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

4:06pm The whole family decided to go hike the Waihee Ridge Trail since it was pretty warm in town. We had done this trail hike before but many years ago. It took us a while to get up to the cache site but with lots of water and some granola bars, we made it. It took us a while to find the cache as we hadn't interpreted the hints correctly. We finally figured out what they meant and my dad made the find. Took the TB and Pathtag, left a geopin, signed log. Then hiked up a bit more before heading back down to the car before the gate was closed (which now closes at 6pm).

Keopuolani Park

By: mojedo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

5:42pm Came back today with four pairs of eyes and they helped. After looking for about five minutes, my mom made the find. I didn't check that spot last time so I could see how I could have missed it. TNLNSL.

Coqui Coqui Coqui

By: Northern Gecko Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

1:54pm We think we took the wrong walk in but we enjoyed the walk along the tide pools, checking out the fish swimming around. There were also a couple of surfers catching some quick rides on the surf. We spotted where the cache was from afar but when we got there we had to wait for a thrownet fisherman to pass. Jenn made the find and I grabbed the cute cache. TNLNSL.

Bookworms

By: EvZayas Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

3:11pm We've lived on Maui for over 25 years and never knew this place was here. As we were approaching the cache site we saw some chickens running around so Jenn headed straight for the bookstore while I went to find the cache. Easy find, took a keychain, left a geopin, signed log. Checked out the books afterwards but didn't see anything for us to buy.

Lava and Sand

By: EvZayas Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

12:54pm Out caching on a beautiful 090909 day and we drove all the way to the end of the road in Makena to search for our first cache of the day. We've been along the trail before so we knew where to go. Got to the cache site and noticed some goats (a lot of them!) in the trees eating and even one watching us. Found the cache and TN, left something shiny, SL.

Turtle Lookout

By: yeanyco Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

While snorkeling nearby, we noticed some muggles around the area of the cache. So we checked out the cache after we swam around for a while and found out that they were indeed geocachers. Had to grab the CKayaks coin, since we used to live in the Bay Area (now call Maui our home).

Good To Go!!

By: Northern Gecko Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Searched for a while using the hint but didn't find anything. Wanted to search another spot but a construction crew were making repairs to the parking lot. An updated set of coords would be greatly appreciated!

One for the Canadians!!

By: Northern Gecko Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:47pm This was a quick find using the hint. Nice container, very in theme! We used to go tidepooling at night right down the beach from here. Caught lots of stuff, like fish, shrimp, and eels. TNLNSL.

Micked on Maui

By: Jclampett/Emmjay Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:00pm Lucked out on a holiday and found parking right next to the trail to the cache area. Took a few minutes to finally spot the nicely camoed cache. TNLNSL.

Old Hawaiian

By: WMike Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:20pm I figured this one out a week ago but when we went to look for the cache, I discovered I hadn't entered the coords into my GPSr. Put them in today since we were heading down to Kihei for a couple of hours. When we got there, we searched many spots and after about ten minutes, I finally spotted the cache. Took Dr. Duck, left something shiny, signed log.

Prickly's Brother!

By: northern gecko Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

4:40pm Reversed a previous DNF by finding this one today. The current hint was much better than the one a couple of years ago. Found the cache easily and even managed to not get any ants on me. TNLNSL.

Long Long Long Ago!

By: northern gecko Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

2:20pm Doing a bit of caching in Kihei today. First cache of the day, used the hint to find the nice cache container. Trashed out a couple of beer cans, 5 cents each! TNLNSL.
