TNLN, I Don't Think So - 1960's

By: Jimswim Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

I walked atop the freeway overpass to scope out the cache approach. I had one of those moments when I realized what I had to do... Was puzzled at first but found the cache after a time. Picked up the Rainbow Brite sprite left by Marky and left a blue porpoise. I didn't have a pen so I didn't sign the logbook, but its not one of the requirements as stated. Thanks for the adventure, I won't forget this one!

Resistance is Futile

By: componenx Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I'm not a great solver of puzzle caches, but I gave this one a try because the story was so entertaining. Cache was not exactly hidden as I expected, so it took me two visits to find. Thanks!

Merry Christmas Cache #1

By: Beckerbuns and boys Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Cool and quiet hiding spot on a hot day. Thanks!

Oka Slalom

By: Aargnpopo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I didn't find the cache but I did see a birds nest with some hatchlings right at the point where my GPS zeroed out, just at about eye level. The bird sort of caved out some styrofoam and built a nest there.

Cora's cache

By: Muggle Finder Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Found it with the clue. Its a very well thought out little park. I also thought I heard unseen men talking down in the creek area but it was hard to be sure because there was traffic noise.

OakHill PlayLot

By: Tammie the Dog Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Kind of warm today at noon so the park was sort of empty except for a mom and some kids trying to stay cool in the shade. TNLNSL. Thanks!

By: Shane & Pepper (Maintained by Marky & Joani) Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I tried to find this one months ago, the area had been feshly mowed and raked, and I couldn't find the cache. The area looks very different now and I found the cache easily. Thanks!

High Road to Simba Rock

By: Todd Larsen (maintained by WalruZ) Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

Wow, its been a while since this cache was found! Walked over on an easy cow trail, and just had to make my way around the star thistles at the very end. After finding stage one, a hummingbird took an interest in me, hovered about, and left. When I got to stage two, the hummingbird took one look at me and then flew back to stage one. Maybe its guarding the caches. Thanks!

NOT on the way to United 615

By: vdbalamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

There was a couple sitting there enjoying the shade (it really is nice and there was a breeze too). I was going to hike around the loop and wait until they left, but they started talking to me so I explained about geocaching. We all started looking and they found it for me. It doesn't get much easier than that. Note: Bthomas better hurry--a mouse has been chewing on the cache.

Leona Seilbahn

By: jef Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I think I got to the cache before Steven dR. It was a really easy find, the cache wasn't even hidden. Read thru the logbook and found that the cache had been discovered by a non-cacher on May 11, who had been good enough to sign the log. I hid the cache better (lots of hiding spots), and walked back to my car. Saw a snake on the fire road (maybe a type of garter snake). Thanks for the adventure.

Missile View

By: Greenjeens Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Found the 1st stage (all over the place). I collected all the bits a pieces and hid stage one. I was concerned that the cache might get plundered again, so I took one of the cards that had the stage 2 coordinates and hid it in a plastic bag in a tree cavity. Liked the way stage 2 was hidden. Thanks!

A Walk to Remember

By: Rufusthecat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

I printed the cache sheet on May 21st before Chris & Janet had posted their coordinates. So my GPS zeroed in a grass field. I used a technique that had worked before: I walked a thirty foot circle around the zero point, and then I walked a cross pattern in the circle, and still no cache found. I then read Kusanagi's note about the cache being 200+ feet from the zero point. I didn't want to walk a 200+ foot circle, so I just quit at that point. I was walking around taking pictures and found a spot that seemed to match the hint, and sure enough the cache was there. Thanks for the adventure, and it is an interesting spot to visit.

Take and MAKE a Cache (aka Momma Cache)

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

It had been a while since this cache was found, it was covered with spider webs, and when I picked it up and carried it over to a bench, it sent several of them scurrying. Left some marbles and took a cache kit, thanks! There is one more cache kit left, and many trade items.

Sly Dog's--Big Lady

By: marwagsalot Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Our Lady of Peace watched patiently as I searched time and time again (was it 3 or 4 trips, I can't remember). I thought I saw her smile as I finally learned to see what I had looked at many, many times. Thanks!

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Therapy Cache #3

1 in a 1000

By: Lost Our Marbles Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Geocaching notice was in full view 10 feet away so it was an easy find. As noted in previous posts, there is a 'fear factor' in getting the cache, which made it retrieval interesting. I tried to hide it just a bit better. Thanks!

Snell Station

By: Stacy & Jerry Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I tried to find this yesterday, but was with a larger group and just couldn't get in the groove. After thinking about it, I figured it had to be hidden a certain way, so I came back today. Didn't find it there, but it dawned on me that there was another way..

Take a ride on the trolley

By: Stacy & Jerry Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

By and large, with some exceptions, I found the caches on the Mountain View to Mipitas on light rail, and the caches on River Oaks to Santa Teresa by car. Enjoyed it and learned a thing or two about public transit. Walked right by the final cache without seeing it, at first, but eventually found it.

SuperGenius #12-You've Got Mail

By: Pepper (maintained by Marky & Joani) Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Other

This cache was a lot of fun for me. First there was a family on a picnic watching me from about 200 yds away, they must of thought I was crazy. Found stage 1 and the letterbox. Then I walked around for a while, kind of disturbing the cows, until I figured out where the cache had to be. Thanks!

Igor

By: Mike Hildum Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

This cache was a lot of fun for me. First I didn't follow the directions so I approached the cache from the wrong direction, and got to the point where I could see the cache but couldn't get to it without going under a barbed wire fence. I circled around and was sucessful on the second try. The cache is relatively large and has an impressive collection of mctoys. I exchanged a few. Thanks.

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

What a neat idea, I definitely would not have come to this area had it not been for this cache. Read all the passages and had fun finding the final cache too. There was absolutely nobody around on a Saturday afternoon except a fisherman and a guy skipping rocks with his boys.

Geocache #150 for me, and a good one it was. What a nice, pristine park! I packed out the only 2 pieces of litter I found (2 beer cans). Wildflowers are in bloom and the creeks were running today too. I explored around for a time, without success, and then decided to try chuguy's coordinates, which took me right to the cache. Thanks!
