Historic Crossroads Murals

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

This was a fun virtual cache. Thanks for making me stop and look. As I was viewing the Dublin Underpass murals, someone yelled from a car 'Nice aren't they?'. And they are!

Seeq Technologies

By: boren Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Thanks for the history lesson. I thought I would get to view Drawbridge ghosttown from this cache, but I found that the Newby Island landfill blocks the view. That is one large pile of garbage! Thankfully though, its covered with earth so its looks like a large hill that inexplicably rose from the bay. Thanks for the educational cache.

Electric Kiss

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

It took three visits but I finally got my kiss. Enjoyed it!

Quit Iron Horsing Around!

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Definitely evil. [;)] Couldn't find it the first time in the daylight, but it was a breeze at night using a flashlight.

Berryessa Bridge

By: spider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

It helps to know the ways of spiders. Thanks!

Northwood Park

By: spider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I looked for a cache yesterday and couldn't find it. This cache was much more satisfying. Thanks!

Iron Horse This

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Came by right at dusk, and it took some doing to find it. I was checking with the flashlight to be sure I had put it back right when I heard a little hiss behind me. Turned around, and saw a racoon waddling down the trail.

In Suspense!

By: Fishin' Fool Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Just couldn't find it, so I put it on my watch list.

Around They Go.......

By: bykenut Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I had heard what was here but hadn't actually seen it. Found it between the scratch and the heat races. Thanks for the very entertaining geocache.

Hydration Station

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

As I drove down the entrance road I became really thirsty. Lots of water around but I couldn't find a drinking fountain. Luckily it was an easy find and I continued on. Thanks!

Sunol

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

It was a fun little search in Sunol. I found the plaque easily but had a little trouble finding the actual cache. But in the end I found it and did my best to cover up my footprints.

Father's Day

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

The first time my GPSr put me out in left field. The second time I didn't even use it and just searched where I gathered it would be, and sure enough there it was. Thanks.

It's Modern

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Thats a different sort of one of those, must be stainless. Thanks!

This landing is your landing

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Neat hiding spot that the cache fits right into. There were lots of geomuggles close by playing basketball and tennis, but I just don't think they were paying attention to me. Thanks.

Off Abel

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Fun cache. I had ruled out a couple of spots, DavidT21 came by and went for a spot that hadn't occured to me, and there it was. Fisherwoman showed up as DavidT21 was replacing the cache.

That cache container looks familiar. Thanks Kablooey!

Joani's Buggy Birthday Bash (replay version)

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Happy Birthday Joani! I've found maybe 1/5th of your geocache's and look forward to finding some more. It was neat to put faces with all the names I've learned within the last year.

By: Beckerbuns Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Found it during lunch break. Thanks.

San Jos é Public Library - Educational Park Branch

By: Beckerbuns Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

A little hard to extract....had to think like McGyver. Use a leatherman tool to fashion a hook from the clip of my ball point pen. Thanks.

San Jos é Public Library - Seventrees Branch

By: Beckerbuns Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This ended up being a cacher's meeting spot, where where coordinates were traded and maps were read. Thanks!

San Jos é Public Library - Evergreen Branch

By: Beckerbuns Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nearly caught up with this series with just a few to go I think. Thanks!

San Jos é Public Library - Berryessa Branch

By: Beckerbuns Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Happy Birthday Joani. Enjoyed the Birthday Bash!

GeoTrashing

By: winini Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Neat container. Cache is kind of sitting out in the open, I wasn't sure if that was intended, but it is rather high up so maybe it won't be found by non-cachers.

Ugly Duckling Lakes

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

There are some neat things to see here, 150 feet east is Penitencia Creek. About 20 feet north are where the big croakers live. Thanks!

Broadway Bound

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Was having problems getting the GPSr to zero out, so I had it zero out on a different level than the cache. Once I determined where the cache should be, an employee beat me to the spot for her smoke break. I took a couple of laps around the area to kill some time, and when I got back she was gone and I found the cache. Thanks.

Mama Cass (aka Momma Cache)

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Found it midday in the heat. Took a couple of micros, which I plan to hide in the Castro Valley area. Thanks.

Iron Horse Trail - Part 2

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Fizzymagic and I were discussing where the cache might be, and then he said, 'I see it', and sure enough there it was.

Rockin' Tice Valley

By: vdbalamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Its pretty well hidden, I had to search for a time. Thanks!

Mesozoic Mesa

By: SnoWake -n- Dingo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Saw the cache from about 20 feet away so finding it was no problem. There was no log book to sign so I walked back to my car and got one (it was from a cache I never placed). The ammo can was mostly empty to I also added some modem cables, a kaleidoscope, a toy paratrooper and a miniature soccer ball. Thanks for the cache, the views are awesome! Oh yeah, I also packed out some Corona bottles.

Don't Worry

By: Artzest Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Found it, nice placement. Thanks.

MaLarkey

By: Kaveh of Team Bench Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

It was hot outside, anyone around with any sense was either indoors or swimming at the park next door. Puzzled over this one for a time but found it in the end. Afterwards, drove to a local supermarket and bought a power-bar and a couple bottles of cool water.

Blarney-A-Blaze

By: GlobeSniffer Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Fizzymagic and I did the math right, but couldn't find the right pole initially. Fizzy found cache by making an intuitive leap so to speak. After finding the cache, we finally verified the pole number. Well its the results that count I guess, and not the order in which you do them. Thanks for the interesting multi.

Creek Walk

By: GlobeSniffer Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Really like this one, I didn't exactly follow the directions, but found it none the less.

Murderer's Creek

By: Son & I Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Cool spooooky location. I had to wait a couple of minutes for a hornet to leave, then I worked my way through som bushes and found the cache. Nice cammo on the container. Took the Arizona Star T/B.

Sacramento Northern Railroad #3 - Jones

By: GlobeSniffer & SumNum Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Teamed up with Fizzymagic to find this one. He checked the cache log, and mentioned something about spiders, which gave me an idea where the cache should be.

Jim Howe Does Your Garden Grow?

By: GlobeSniffer Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I've known some who gardened here so its interesting to know where they were doing it. Now I know. Walked around the park for a bit afterwards.

Ding Dong Liberty Mama

By: GlobeSniffer Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Parked at the bank parking lot (it was a Sunday and the lot was empty) walked across the street and found it.

Commodore Fun

By: componenx Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

At one time or another I've lived or worked close to all these cache sites so it was a fun little jaunt around the cities. Got to meet VDBALAMO and help with the navigation too.

Displaced New Englander

By: boulter Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I have to admit I didn't take the quiz, I was just tagging along with VBDALAMO. I did uncover the cache and made sure it was out of site when I replaced it though. Thanks. Interesting, according to the AAA travel agent, my birthplace was New England, if you go by her expanded definition.

The No-Trash Cash-Stash Cache

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I have to admit 'cache blindness' as the reason it took me so long to find this one. Left a Louisiana state quarter. Enjoyed it, thanks.

Eschew Obfuscation

By: The Rat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Parked in the VTA lot and found it pretty easily. OK here's one:

All generalizations are bad.

San Jos é Public Library - Pearl Avenue Branch

By: Beckerbuns Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Found the new and improved micro-cache. Thanks.

SONY Log Hop

By: nadodi, KaneTheGerman Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I searched around for all while, wasn't finding it, so I decided to just follow the GPSr. Spied something that I thought was an old magazine (I'm always finding stuff like that) but it turned out to be the cache. Thanks.

Hamann Hangout

By: Jay, Caine, and Becca (wwp) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Liked it! Even after spying the cache, from the right angle, it still took me a little while to figure out how retrieve it. I can definitely say this would have taken me longer to find at night. Thanks.

Field of Dreams

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

My second time there. Its a lot easier to find when there isn't a game going on. Thanks.

Stop and Rest

By: Kaveh, Team Bench Leader Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

It took two tries for find this one. The first time I looked for it in San Jose, Marky had grabbed it hours earlier. On the second try I was able to find it in Pleasanton. Hid it in Castro Valley.

Some caches we haven't seen

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Oh yeah! That makes #300 for me and #5 for the day. Found it pretty easily because it had become uncovered, either by animals or weather. I left it better concealed. Thanks!

Iron Horse Trail - Part 3

By: vdbalamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I also had looked on July 4th. Now that the cache is replaced I found it right away, and also found parking very close by. Thanks.

Tired of Micros?

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I will never tire of micros! (Being from an urban area, over half my finds are micros). Thanks!

Wildlife Center

By: spider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Huerta Post

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Neat little hiding spot and its a nice touch to make this into a multi-cache too. Thanks.

Midnight Basketball? Not!

By: TammieTheDog Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Only found one earwig hiding with the cache, they must be learning. This is my second time here, the first time I must have been suffering from cache blindness.

Campbell Park Troll

By: Jim and Jeanette Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Found the troll's stash, took a miniature bottle of Tabasco (you never know when you'll need Tabasco) and I left a marble and a state quarter, Maryland. Thanks.

It's just a Baggy Cache

By: Tammie the Dog Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

My 3rd time here, the other 2 times there was someone occupying the area. Thanks!

Less is Moore

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This is one of those geocaches that really pushes the limits of how a micro can be hidden. Signed #24 on the logsheet. Thanks!

Resurrection of Superman

By: Kryptonite Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Its a neat little natural area that I didn't know was there. Thanks.

Beyond the Picnic

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was an easy find for me once I figured out where the ell's are supposed to go. Thanks!

Tube It!

By: 3BBoys Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Amazing how many new ways to hide geocaches there are! When I saw the cache container, I had to laugh. Thanks.

We can do it!

By: KaneTheGerman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

The sunglasses are still there, and also an empty bottle of Smirnoff. Pair of pants are gone. I'm sure there's a story to go with all that but I don't want to know. Thanks.

Trigger Happy

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Parked over in the Shorline Ampitheater so I walked over and got a chance to see the views. The placement of this thing is interesting, maybe the artist wanted it to look authentic so they chose a spot that was out of the way? Regardless, its well worth the trip to see it. Thanks.

Another Walk in the Park

By: forman (adopted by budd-rdc) Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

When I arrived, DavidT21 was already looking for the cache so I got to meet him (always good to run into other cachers out in the field). We were both looking in the same general area when DavidT21 found it. TNLNSL.

Treasure Chest

By: Jim and Jeanette Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Shiver me timbers! I found it right away! Left a silver coin and took a Magic card. Made sure the scallywags didn't see where the treasure be hidden. Arr har har har har!

The Cache With No Name

By: Boba Fett Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Enjoyed it. Another tree hide by Boba Fett. Definitely need to watch your step while searching for this one.

Portuguese Centennial Park

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Didn't find it first try, but I enjoyed the park each time I visited it. The park is in a busy area of town but seems kind of quiet and serene once you get there.

Iron Horse Trail - Part 4

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Was worried I'd get skunked because I'd already failed to find two other micros today. But I guess my luck was bound to change because I walked right up to this one. Thanks!

Spillway

By: squints and Woof! Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I scrambled around in the brush for about 10 minues before deciding that the cache must be hidden in a spot that was easier to find. Tried again and found it right away. Thanks, its a good hide.
