Antzzz

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

Found this one on the dry run when it was placed. Thanks! Don't think there will be any finders this weekend, park is closed due to high fire danger, but temperatures are expected to return to normal later this week. Hopefully the park will re-open soon.

Was on the rebound from Kaveh's 'No Sweat', and managed to find this one. Took a quarter and left a toy car. Thanks!

Old Stone Walls

By: The Winningham Boys Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Sunol, California. This stone was is next to an abandoned building in Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park. The building was probably used by the Thermal Fruit Company which operated here from 1904 to the 1930's. Now the park is good for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and of course GEOCACHING!

Getting Hitched

By: CCCooperAgency Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

I thought this was an unusual hitchin post (note the horseshoes). It is located Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park in Nothern California. The neat thing about this park is that is has lovely historic olive and fruit orchards, that were planted between 1890 and the 1920s. There are some historic and abandoned buildings in the park as well, probably used by the Thermal Fruit Company which operated from 1904 to the 1930's. Now the park is good for hiking, biking, riding and of course GEOCACHING.

No Sweat

By: Kaveh of Team Bench Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

Found this with Vdbalamo and Bthomas. We found many caches in the park, including Hint to Black Diamond Tennis Bracelet, and we were in the park about 6 hours total. It was lots of fun and I really wouldn't have walked that far had it not been for geocaching. Had a little trouble reading the coordinates but in the end they were always interpreted correctly. Coordinates and hints were always accurate, thanks for that.

Canyon View

By: squints Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Looks like the local kids have built a bicycle track here. Found the cache no problem, the pen lying in the grass next to the cache gave it away. Thanks!

So many library caches, so little time. Thanks!

The Prospector

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

It was a mini-adventure. Was trying to keep the flashlight off so as to not attract attention. Just followed the gps, going over a wall and down a hillside right to the cache. Glad I wore my hiking boots. There was an easier way to get back. Thanks! Left the cache better covered than how we found it.

The People Zone

Would you like mustard on that?

By: Kaveh, Team Bench Leader Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Micro

Absolutely over the top crazy! Squints and I tried several approaches and finally got to within feet of the cache. After some doing Squints found the cache in the rocks. Thanks. Lots o' fun.

Squints and I looked for it this morning. A few shortcuts worked in our favor and we got to the cache early, I think we found it by 9am.

Nice camo! Thanks. The roads leading to and from the cache are kind of maze-like.

Blue Oak Hill

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

On the way to the cache, found a man's profile in the sandstone. I was wondering what the drill marks were about, looked it up on the web, it turns out that the old quarry here was here to supply stone blocks used for buildings in downtown San Jose. Anyhow, thanks for the interesting cache.

Squigams

By: cathysch Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Finding this cache made me remember that I had found the T/B with the same name in the spring. I looked up the location of the Squigams T/B and found that it had recently been freed, glad to see that. Took a marble and left the Mutant Bug T/B that I collected at the Bay Area and Beyond Picnic yesterday. Thanks!

Rock Formations

By: wayno2jd Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Man's Profile Guadalupe Oak Grove Park San Jose, CA Why build a quarry here? We'll the sandstone blocks were used for buildings in downtown San Jose. On a recent excursion a young cacher noted this man's profile in the quarry stone, so I just had to document it. Thanks!

Always like finding ammo cans, thanks! Nice trail.

Stake me (New Construction)

By: Pedalman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Other

This was the wrong cache to try and find without reading the cache report. I searched under a large oak for quite a while (the one with someones initials carved into the trunk). I carefully checked all around the zero point, except where the P.O. wouldn't let me. Finally I gave up and read the cache report, and found it right away. Thanks for the adventure. Found it at coordinates N37 12.515, W121 58.634.

Temple of the Jaguar

By: spyder woman Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Thought for a moment I would have to venture onto private property, but in the end I didn't. Just needed to trust the GPS, it took me right to it. Thanks for the cache.
