Go Basking on the Hill

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The little critters seem to like that area alot. I was being watched by a neighbor (maybe) so I did some sightseeing (checked out the new housing tract) for a while until they lost interest and went inside. Found the cache no problem, thanks.

Pure Country

By: Two Hawks & Alaster Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Stanton Reservoir Overlook

By: 4wheeler Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

Found the cache no problem. About ticks, I haven't had any problem this weekend, but earlier in the year they were really annoying. I don't know what happened, maybe the heat wave cooked the juice out of 'em.

The Briar Patch

By: 4wheeler Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

After finding one of your other caches earlier today, well, in the words of baseball great Yogi Berra, it was deja vu all over again. There is some P.O. now but it is avoidable. Enjoyed it.

Clunky Coplanar #59

By: 4wheeler Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I am not exactly a small person, and after 2 tries I have managed to beat a pretty good path to the cache so it should be easier for those that follow. Ground is nice and dry now. **NOTE TO THOSE THAT FOLLOW: log is mushy and needs to be replaced.** Thanks for the adventure.

Oakie Hill Cache

By: clu5150 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

By: Blue iis Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Robin Hood's Neighborhood Trailhead

By: bykenut Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I also had more of an adventure than I bargained for. I was walking right up the center of the trail, about 1/2 hour before sunset, and heard a loud sizzing noise and froze in my tracks. A Northern Pacific Rattlesnake, about 12 feet away, was going right along the edge of the runoff canal, and it obviously didn't want me around. I turned around and got out of there! I'll be back some other time when they aren't so active.

Free St. Teresa!

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

What is up with me and wildlife today? After getting turned around by a Northern Pacific Rattlesnake at a previous cache, I decided to try for another cache before sundown. As I approached the cache I came across 2 dead mice, one of which had a hornet inside eating dinner. Really. Yuck! Stepped around it and found the cache, thanks, I guess!

Club Santa Teresa

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Snuck by some people close by and found the cache. Just as I was about to sign the log one of them asked "Did you find the geocache?" Always good to meet other cachers out in the field. Turns out they had been looking but hadn't quite found it yet. Thanks! BTW, beach is very clean now.
