American Injustice: Chinese American Cemetery

By: CC Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Wow, I've driven by here several times and never thought about what was on the other side of the fence. Very quiet back there, there was a black & white cat sunning itself and licking it's paws. Camo was awesome, almost overlooked the cache altogether.

Hotwheels

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Quick lunch-time find. Thanks.

Odd Nuts Plus Two

By: Team LegGoes Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Spotted this one from afar. Thanks for the quick find.

More or less is more

By: cachecrashers Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Guessed where it might be and found it without too much trouble.

Johnny

By: Adamski Adventurers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Snuck up to the cache and grabbed it during lunch. Exchanged the Trash Talkin' T/B for the Heavy T/B. Thanks for the quick find.

Swiss Army Invades Evergreen

By: burtsmith Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I found this one at night after work. I am still marvelling at the amazing attachment method whereby the cache stays in place.

Our Little Corner of the World

By: gimpel(Adopted by PtekPosse and SHHR) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I, for one, don't think this one will last and would suggest replacing it with a decon container ($2 at the army surplus store) or the old reliable peanut-butter-jar-wrapped-in-electrical-tape cache. Anyhow I can't complain, any cache that I can find is a good cache and generally the bigger they are, the easier I can find 'em.

Que Sera - Sirah

By: burtsmith Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Found this at night which is good testament to the 1/1 rating. Took the T/B and left a quarter.

No Swings?

By: Team_Unicycle Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Was puzzled for a minute but then something seemed out of place. Liked the camo.

Roast Beeef

By: Team_Unicycle Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Nice hiding spot, but the container has a crack in the lid which is somehow letting water in. Anyhow the log was just dry enough for me to sign. I'd suggest replacing it with a peanut butter jar wrapped in electrical tape, or something like that. Or maybe if the next finder has some duct tape, that might work (duct tape fixes everything).

Rails to Trails #1

By: Team LegGoes Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Searched for it, didn't see it, looked elswhere, then circled back and found it. I signed the last spot on the log sheet, so a new one is needed, I believe.

Mominima

By: DuckeyLee and Rocket Girl Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I'm always amazed at the new ways to hide caches. Found it quickly after shuffling about for a bit. Not too many muggles around, just an ice-cream vendor and a dad with his kids, but they were really focused on the ice-cream.

Mission Adobe

By: Blanston12 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

My second time here, the first time I just coundn't see it, but this time I guess I was looking from the right angle.

Seven Hills Speedway, Union City

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I'm wary of multi's (I DNF'd 2 of them on a recent trip to Chicago using up precious time) but I found this one, thanks for the cache.

WG Portal

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

It really did need a cache. Found it quickly.

Cache Cove

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Had no idea an old railway was here. Thanks for the cache.

Grab a Cache and Maybe a Bite to Eat - Willow Glen

By: bykenut Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

My GPS autoroute had me sneak up from the back thereby avoiding the lunch-time traffic. Enjoyed the cache.

VTA Race Station

By: frivlas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I used to work near this location, but didn't notice that this cache went in until after I changed jobs. Nicely hidden, thanks.

Gibson Woods in Hammond

By: klgood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Had been visiting Chicago, then drove through Indiana Dunes park to see the colors of the trees and had lunch at Michigan City & took some pictures at the shore. On the way back, I wanted to find at least one cache in Indiana, and this one popped up so I drove by and found it, and still had time to make the flight home from Midway airport. Thanks for placing a cache I could find quickly.

Santa Fe Speedway

By: Panther in the Den Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Quick find and dropped of a travel bug. Quiet area on a Sunday morning.

Pleasant Dale

By: Liminal man Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Found the cache quickly and exchanged travel bugs. Cache is nice and dry, put it back where I found it.

I Love Chicago! - Neighborhoods - Old Town

By: Panther in the Den and The Petergalembckes' Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This one took a little while, I searched in two other spots before finding the cache. Dropped of the "Travel To The Snow Bug" (the newer T/B tags seem just a bit smaller and fit in the larger micro caches).

Battleground

By: bobwlsn Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Was sightseeing and got off the beaten track to find this virtual cache, thanks!

Tiny Tower

By: TheFamilyWhale Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Funny, I'd been skunked on 2 prior caches and found this one in minutes, sometimes it happens like that. As was the theme for the day, my GPS was reading over 50 feet where I found the cache, probably due to obstructions and reflections of nearby buildings. But I had learned to use the mapping feature of my GPS here, and that is how I got to where I needed to be. Thanks for the tiny cache.

Cloud Gate aka The Bean

By: Greenback Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Virtual

I was wondering if this was a good night cache but in fact there were quite a few visitors there and two security people, one on a Segway. Liked it.

Bughouse Square-Washington Park

By: Jaboo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

GPS had not been behaving but then it settled down and showed 2 feet at the cache. Amazing. Cache has had recent maintenance and it dry now. Dropped off the "Generic Geocoin".

Chicago Architecture - Mies - Glass Houses

By: the League of Extraordinary GeocacherS Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

GPS wasn't behaving well but functioned just enough to get me there. Found it without to much trouble, thanks.

Stone Faced

By: camp637 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Really didn't know about this building, hadn't been to Chicago before, but was staying close by and decided to walk over and see what the cache was all about. Even though it was night, walked around much of the building to see the pieces.

Chicago's Water Tower

By: baloo & bd Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Stopped by (the rest of my party was doing other things), my GPS was nearly worthless here but I did manage to find the virtual cache site. After taking the needed picture, I talked to the doorman who told me that there was an art exhibit inside the tower, so I went in and viewed the photo collection and had a complimentary glass of merlot/cabernet. From there moved on to some other caches before while there was still some sunlight left.

By: Blanston12 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This area was very well protected at 9pm, the BART police drove by 3 times. Found it no problem.

GeoLove

By: CooperPair Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

This was my favorite cache of the day, if not just for it's stark simplicity. Looked all around, and gave up to find the bridge cache. Tried again on the way back, and finally just decided to trust my GPS, and there it was. GPS read 2 feet when I located the cache. Thanks for the challenge.

Henry's Hidden Box

By: mjrose381 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Quick find, just needed the GPS to get to the general area, cache is easy to spot. Enjoyed it, thanks.

Sugar N' Spice

By: WeBeFour Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Biked part way and walked the rest, found it with no problem, thanks.

Cache Cow

By: WeBeFour Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Liked the cache, there are so many fallen leaves this time of year it was kind of a challenge to locate the cache but I did, thanks!

Callippe Preserve Trails Bridge

By: Wacka Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Interesting bridge, it's one of those new lightweight models. My GPS kept urging me on, right to the cache, thanks for that.

Callippe's Under Side

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Wow, that water tank trailhead is really a secret one, isn't it? Look ma, no ticks, just have to stop by at the right time of year, the summer's heat waive must have cooked the juice out of 'em. Enjoyed the cache, thanks.

RTH @ BMX

By: n2books2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

It took me a long time to find the 1st stage, but once you find it there's no question, is there? 2nd stage was easy, found it right away. I credit this cache with showing me that there are free accesses to Shadow Cliffs park, don't have to pay the $7 parking fee, rode on and found a couple of caches there.

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I had trouble with this cache before so I used the beachbum67 coordinates and walked right up to it. Enjoyed it.

Coyote Creek Los Lagos

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Those darn thistles are such a pain even the cows and goats won't mess with them (well where there are such animals). Anyhow they were totally dried out and smashed down where they needed to be, so it was a quick find, thanks.

Coyote Creek Golf Crossing

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I found 5 caches at lunch today, this was the toughest of the lot. Usually I can't find them hidden in this way but just happened to look at the right angle. Enjoyed it, thanks. BTW, I should have taken a photo, but even the trail entrance going south under Capitol Expy look rough, it's a good thing no caches are hidden on the creek trail between Capitol Expy and Yerba Buena.

Trail's End, Coyote Creek in Stonegate Park

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I didn't spy the secret retrieval trick, and put my hand on a live lizard instead. Well we were both surprised (me and the lizard), but I quickly went back to the task at hand.

Stonegate's Gate: Coyote Creek Trail's End

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Lo bue murder

By: Ronburgandy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

As I drove up I thought parking might be a problem but it wasn't. Quick and easy find after I waited for a worker to finish taking the garbage out. Thanks for the cache.

Downhill Alternative

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Didn't have any wildlife problems, just walked down and found the cache. It was getting late and had just enough light to walk back around to my car. The hike down to the farm house after sunset had great views of the South Bay. Enjoyed it!

Bernal Hill

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I didn't start for this cache until 6pm with sunset at 6:36pm, so I had to move it. Made it from the farm house to the cache in 20 minutes (that is good for me, huffing and puffing all the way), which left me enough time to find two more caches before nightfall. Nice view from up top, thanks. I moved on to the next cache, and picked up tick on the way, but I flicked him off quickly.

Bernal Quicksilver Mine

By: bullit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

I couldn't find this one last week but this time walked right up to it. Should have followed the gps last time, took me right to it.

Ten Hills Trail #1

By: CompuCash Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

One thing about poison oak is that it is turning color this time of year and it's kind of attractive in it's own way. Anyhow, I was able to reach the cache without contacting any, but I start itching when I even look at the stuff. Anyhow, thanks for the cache.

I was running out of daylight but guessed this detour would payoff--it did. Thanks for the cache.

Nicely Stacked

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Liked this cache, it was challenging and I gave up at one point but then decided to give it one more try and there it was. Found it right before sunset and was rewarded with a great view of the valley at twilight for the walk back down to the farm house.

Rocky Bench

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

St. Teresa's Other Boundary

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

It ?s a Graveyard Cache

By: Cap'n Jack Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I always wanted to do a cemetery cache at night, and well, I finally did! Well it wasn't completely dark yet, but the moon was out and I did need a flashlight. Had to fashion a tool using available materials to retrieve the cache, and I put it back just as I found it. Fun times, thanks Cap'n!
