Just Calaveras

By: Dynamic Duet Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Was caching in Sunol and drove up a little ways to find this one. Thanks for the cache.

Baby Maguire

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

I walked up from 'Cannon Bore'. It wasn't really a bad climb at all and there was a good shaded cow trail for the first bit. Really liked the view, thanks for bringing me up there. Returned the way I came up.

Cannon Bore

Lucked out with this one and found it right away, geocaching is like that some times.

E.T. Call Home #1!

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This was a nice little spot and I didn't run into the cow herds I usually do, so some calves with their mom's.

Lonely Little Tree

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

This is a nice rest spot and I was getting a little tired, glad I didn't need to go back any farther into the park. Neat cache container.

Cat Tracks

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Somehow in finding this cache I ended up walking back towards so the road so after find this cache I turned around a found a nice little trail heading up toward the McGuire Peaks.

E.T. Call Home #2

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Thanks for pointing this out because I although I've seen them before I didn't know what they were (really!). Thanks for the cache.

Little Grassy Knoll

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

I got lucky and did this one last in the Grassy Knoll series. Much easier to do them in a clockwise semi-circle (in my opinion). Afterwards I managed to find a good cow trail circling right down to where I needed to be.

Post It

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Small

Originally I didn't want to go down through the bushes but since there was no P.O. I did it and soon had the cache in hand.

Upper Maquire Peak Trail

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

This is one of my favorite trails in the park, nice spot for a cache.

A Grassy Knoll

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Regular

This was my favorite cache of the day, nice peaceful spot with great views. I didn't take a huge amount of time to get to this cache from the main trail, less that 1/2 hour and that includes time to find Team Alamo's cache as well. Enjoyed it, thanks.

Kiss My Grass

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

This was a good start for the Grassy Knoll series and was a quick find as well. Thanks for the cache.

It was actually kind of cool out, made for a really nice hike up the hill. Found the cache quickly, took in the view for a while and headed back to the car.

Hidden Frog Pond

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Pond is dried out this time of year as well as most of the bushes. Nice little hike up the hill. Found the cache and moved on.

Found the cache right away, nice view of the "sand trap". Thanks!

Hayfield

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Park was nearly deserted today, I would run into someone on the trail every hour or so. This was the last cache for me today and I really got pooped-out going up this hill, must need to go hiking more. Grass is really dry and easy to walk thru this time of year, maybe the ticks are dried out too because I didn't see even one today (but I did see a tarantula earlier today in a stream bed). Took nothing and dropped of the Protector of Monterey travel bug.
