Dead Man's Chest

By: m24expert Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I usually cache alone but brought along a companion, and that was a great help as some of the markers were a little tough to find, just because there are so many of them to check. Really appreciated the extra effort that went into this and the final was fun in it's own right. TN, left the Serenity #2 travel bug.

Fossil Find

By: georgeandmary Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

I had driven up Mines Rd from Livermore with the intention of going to San Jose, but the road was closed at the junction so I decided to take the road to Patterson. Found this cache on the way. The sandstone was very soft from the rain and easy to break open with just a trekking pole. I was skeptical at first but found a couple right away. Fun cache, thanks.

Richard's Ramblings

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Enjoyed Richard's Rambling concerning "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", which I was reading this morning instead of getting an earlier start. Interesting commments, I've read all the H.P. books and seen the movies too and you know I couldn't have said it better. On the trail, somehow I just forgot to check the number on the pole and just went straight for the cache, how did I do that? Magic spell I guess!

Maya Silver: Tears of the Moon

By: WalruZ & GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

Like Isabelle and Natomi before, I puzzled it out but they were to have the last laugh as I ended up looking a good distance away. I took shelter from the wind and looked at my notes for a while, everything was as it should be. What's that over there, oh, it's the cache. Thanks for the epic cache series.

Inca Gold

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

First I tried looking at the coordinates I had obtained, when that didn't work I just looked close by and found the cache right away. Three coyotes were yelping on a nearby hillside, their voice really carries and they seem very close by when really they aren't at all. I think they were trying to communicate about some coyote thing or another. Thanks for the cache series.

Nefertiti's Pyramid

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I was a little concerned as I approached this final cache, I hadn't really payed close attention to the instructions, and being just after a heavy rain, there were wet leaves all over, which just seemed to add to the challenge. I found the needed things and began the hunt for the cache. While hunting for the cache I almost immediately located some poo from some animal or another. This is a very good omen and means I will nearly always find the cache (as opposed to finding garbage which is a very bad omen). Once I found the poo I didn't worry too much and the cache was located in short order. Thanks for the awesome cache series.

Wait Until Dark

By: Chuguy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

A great night hike. I had a good strong Black and Decker flashlight with a focused beam, but I still had trouble finding all the fireflies due to heavy fog. Fortunately Chuguy stepped in as cache guide, what a dedicated cache owner. Thanks!

500 Server Too Busy

By: boulter Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Boulter, I've used some of your other internet tools, but you've really outdone yourself with this one. Cache has been popular over the last few days, didn't need the GPS for the last 50 feet, just followed the geotrack. Thanks!

Also found it in the new location. Thanks!

Army ReTIRED

By: travelingclan Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Have seen all of the above movies except 'We Were Soldiers' which somehow got by me, I'll have to rent or borrow it now. Found this and others today in Alamden with Bthomas, TeamAlamo, Walruz and LeChuck. While their Garmin GPS's became momentary confused by the tree cover, I swooped in with my Magellan and found the cache. Thanks!

The MSJ Code

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?

By: Chickasaw Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Can't believe I'm second to find! Watched the movie, and got the necessary clues. I have to admit this movie went right over my head, but when I watched the bonus material I said 'Oh!' Lot's of fun, thanks!

Tater Tot

By: spyder woman Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

Not only was the puzzle difficult, but also driving to the location was kind of maze-like. Thanks for the challenge.

Ava's Birthday

By: spyder woman Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Thanks goodness TeamAlamo was able to reach someone on the mobile phone. Using the old coordinates, at night, I was trying to work through the brush to the zero point, and getting soaked in the process. I was making so much noise I figured the neighbors would call the authorities so I finally gave up. I went back to the car to warm up were I found that TeamAlamo had new improved coordinates which led right to the cache. Thanks for the adventure.

She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not

By: HitsMan and Boulter Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

It was late and getting cold so I was relieved when TeamAlamo said 'I found it!' Thanks for the cache.
