Long Lake Drop Off

By: Skeeter and Ginny and The Butchers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Great day for a Torrey Pines Hike! Found cache fairly easily and with unusually great readings on my etrex. T: matches, L: Mandalay Bay TB on its way to Vegas, SL.

San Diego Zoo Virtual-Multi #1

By: bridaw Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

[We had a great day at the zoo and became team #63 (Brachychiton acerifolius) to complete this cache. Well, actually we had to do trial and error to get #13, which is still inaccessible due to construction. This was made more difficult by the fact that the clue for #5 is slightly misleading.] The name listed on the sign as the "common name", masai giraffe, does not technically begin with the letter used to unlock the certificate. Being a couple of anal-retentive scientists, we tried each alternative crossed with each of the 26 possibilities for clue 13. [TFTC]

Sister Mary Frankenlurch's SF History 101 Lesson 1

By: Frankenlurch Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Thanks for checking -- this is by far the smallest geocache I think I've tried yet. I'll hit it again one of these days after work, when it isn't raining (but before the boys of summer come back and the area gets busier)... In the meantime, maybe a short geocache "vacation" to check my head?

Sister Mary Frankenlurch's SF History 101 Lesson 1

By: Frankenlurch Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Solved the stages in a single walk home from work about a month ago. Since then, I've returned to the final coordinates 3 times (2 dusk/dark, 1 daylight) to do a thorough search in steps (read hint for second time out) with no luck... Since there hasn't been a find for awhile, I'd appreciate it if a former finder (or owner) would check on the cache to see if I'm truly going crazy!

Hill Park

By: Dr. Zaius Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Had trouble finding it in the dark yesterday, so I made another attempt straight from work today. Neat neighborhood that I never would have seen otherwise... T: batteries and Mandalay Bay TB, L: Car Talk CD.

Ambassador Cache

By: Woof! Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was very thankful for an easy find after a largely unsuccessful weekend of micro-hunting in the rain! Log is not technically full, since the reverse side of the pages have not been used -- until today, that is. Thanks Woof!

Wiener Dog!

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Tried this one yesterday afternoon, but ended up enjoying a chili dog instead since there were a ton of people out and about -- including one on the phone the whole time! Came back for a drive by after work today, which worked out well since holiday hours were in effect...

Old Page Mill

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

Road was even deserted during rush hour, which gave me a really easy find since I could examine with abandon! T: toy compass, L: toy spider, SL.

Play Ball!

By: ChrissySkyking + Blaze Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Nice hide and nice park. Took purple balloon, left black golf ball and No Spam the TB.

Transitions

By: payakoi Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nice place for a short evening stroll. Took spider, left purple balloon, SL.

Revenge of the Nerds, Basically

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I think the saddest thing is that I'm such a nerd that I needed to go to section 31B today, independent of caching... Ugh, at least the find distracted me from that fact for a few minutes! Thanks for the convenient hide. Oh yeah -- just about forgot: left a bullwinkle's token for the next nerd.

Toy Store 1

By: dcoplan Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I wouldn't have ventured in this area without a geocache prod, but it was a nice way to reflect on past events and our current era. I was surprised at the ease of this find! Took a slightly damp Peets coupon (thanks again to SFJeep -- he's keeping me in coffee on the weekends!) and dried out the interior of the cache. Left a marble pak and the Stealth Fighter TB to pay his respects.

Lincoln Park

By: Novato Larry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Virtual

A great stop on an even greater afternoon in SF - thanks to you, novato larry!

Sounds of the Bay

By: Surfcal Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Been wanting to do this one for a while, just waiting for the right weather to do it! Today was a beautiful day to sit by the bay and listen to the music from below... TNLNSL.
