Was in the area and thought I'd drop by and learn something. Thanks for the history lesson!

[People always say that the third time's a charm, which proved right in this case. I solved the puzzle quite easily a couple of months ago, but couldn't find it for the life of me the two prior times I came by -- even with the help of mankeydog and family!] Today it was right there out in the open -- plain view and all -- how could I not have seen that before! The log entry before mine reads "What the he** is this?" on 3-26-04, so I hope the cache was intended to be where I found it.
The K-Leave Me CacheBy: blatherskyte glamour girl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
[Wow -- nice view even when the weather was, well, not as photogenic as last weekend!! No film crews today, but some heavy equipment was parked on the East side slope.] I'm amazed that all my TV and movie watching I've done over the years didn't help. Nope -- I haven't watched a single movie or TV show mentioned in the logs!! I do have vague memories of screaming and changing the channel when the Full House intro came on...

Nice hide, although this became a cache-in trash-out since a used 40 was perched almost on top of the cache -- mmmm, memories of my trips to get Merced Sunset... Relatively quiet for this area, late on a Friday morning, although there were more people around than I'm usually comfortable caching in front of. Took butterfly sticker and left a tiedye SF keychain. Also did a TB exchange: took Brogans and left the Peace Keychain TB.
Summer SolsticeBy: Signorelli Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
Was hoping to visit the nearby attraction, but we were too late for Sunday. Probably best for caching, though, since less stealth was required to get this one. Great hide, although I was wearing the wrong footwear to go looking for this one... Smell wasn't THAT bad, c'mon! Left Greyback-Wolf#1 TB to journey on to more cities and have its photo taken. Took a keychain from Modesto Honda and left an orange star thing. TFTC.
Cruise ShipBy: Ford's Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Nice hide on a nice pier with nice food nearby! Not too many people this way today, since the Chowder festival was on the next wharf over and it was still overcast in the late morning. TNLNSL-- TFTC!
America Off-LineBy: AltDotAir Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Seen this type of hide before, but in this area it is close to impossible to retrieve unless you bring a posse... Luckily, I convinced Mom to come out and do this set of wharf-walks with me, so I had an accomplice this Sunday morning -- before the big fete on the wharf brought too many muggles to the area. She had fun messing up the GPS ("that gadget") and offered herself as my wall when necessary to get and retrieve. Took peace TB, wanted to leave greyback TB but he's just too big. He'll have to find another home on the peninsula this weekend.

Could see the cache easily, so I hope it lasts through todays Chowder fest. My arms were (surprisingly) just long enough to get it. Putting it back was more of a challenge as the morning got later and Chowder was starting to flow. TFTC.

Been at this location too much to not know what was being referred to! Still part of a nice caching expedition. Email is on its way.

This one was so simple that we made it extra hard by reading hint 2, then found after Bucky got tired and took a break at the 15 minute search mark. TNLNSL!
What's Up Doc?By: Dr. Zaius (maintained by WalruZ) Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Got to this one fairly early today (8:45a), and noticed that some gardening had been done recently -- leaving the cache out in the open, essentially on the pathway. Traded mini paint kit for a matchbook, took Greywolf TB to place in another city later today. Re-hid cache so that to be seen, one has to be looking for it (I hope, anyway). TFTC!
Griffin of AbsenceBy: kablooey Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Second time back to the statue, since there were too many people hanging around at my first try. Seeing as I work in the field of perception, memory and cognition in general, I thought it highly appropriate to come back sometime after work. Found it relatively easily, but getting it and putting it back at the end of the evening rush hour was interesting. I went with a "just do it" mentality, so I hope the cache remains safe. TNLNSL. BTW: the container is getting pretty difficult to open.
CalTrain - 22nd. St.By: normanb Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Found this one really quickly -- it was weird because I really shouldn't have with the coordinates jumping all over the place. The place isn't so much spooky as it is forgettable. I will remember my drive through Hunter's Point/Bayview to get here from CalTrain -- Bayshore. I think that was my first time in this neighborhood when there wasn't a lot of extra football "security" patrolling the streets. T: Peet's coupon, L: Monterey STO sticker, SL. TFTC!

Was so close to this one after a full day of playing softball at nearby Crocker-Amazon, I just had to drag what was left of me there. This is the kind of place in SF that makes me wish I had room for a pooch in my place. I didn't see any humans and their dogs until I was on the way out, and no sign of rabbits. I did see lots of ladybugs and ruin a big black beetle's afternoon nap. T: mini paint kit, L: Calendria seeds, SL.

[Had to get another hint from Green Gables for the general location of this one -- I had no GPSr reception anywhere near the cache and ended up searching about 300 feet away the first time out! For my part, I've taken the cache to a little known residential area with great views and good signal. Difficulty is 2.5, since there are a few potential places to look and my eTrex accuracy was 24 feet. Terrain is 1 if you come from the east, 3 if you come from west. Hint:] Look for a public transportation hub, then search another government-run structure for the cache.

No signal on the GPSr whatsoever, so I'm working on my memory of where it was on the streetmap. Email is on its way.

Found this with a first-time cacher who shall now be known as InverseSolution on a beautiful Monterey day of surfing, caching, and hiking. We wanted to move it to a less-cached spot on the Peninsula, and one where better surfing was available, but alas there were no iron structures at our first two possible locations. This location does not require any hints, given the rules of the game, and is suitable for cachers of all ages and abilities -- from sunrise to sunset only. Be sure to check out the nearby GC481B.
Here It Is, Deer!By: Just a Short Walk Along for the Ride Iron Che Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
Had a nice time with this one -- not too tough for a first-time cacher (InverseSolution) that came with me on this day o' caching, but not too easy so that a challenge was still there. Took golf ball and left bungee cord, SL. TFTC!

InverseSolution and I tromped all over an area of foliage waiting for the coords to settle down -- they never actually did but our persistence paid off when InverseSolution looked just outside our initial circumference. We also got a crash course in how to avoid poison oak while wearing shorts off the beaten path... [}:)] I'll know what my grade was by tomorrow [:I]. Took Mendocino county and the Sonoma coast -- one of my other favorite places to weekend -- and left a new San Francisco map.
Merced SunsetBy: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Yea! Turned around my DNF today with a little daylight and some drier weather. TNLNSL, and did another clean up of large, mostly empty bottles of alcohol. I never realized that this structure in this particular neighborhood would be such a party place.

Sister Mary Frankenlurch's SF History 101 Lesson 3By: Frankenlurch Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
[Did this very clever hide over two days during my walk to MUNI from work. Tonight I narrowed the target location down to two possibilities in the area -- there was essentially no signal (within 200 ft) -- so I resorted to using the clue to figure out which one. Signed log on the last line, so the next visitor gets to start at the backside.] (clue-related pun intended, har har). [TFTC!!]

I must have been temporarily insane [:o)] -- I should have found this one my first time out; I swear I looked in that very spot!! Of course, it was dark that time... Thanks for checking and TFTC.
Wake Up!By: Frankenlurch Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Grabbed this one after work (and after my previous lapse in sanity with the nearby multicache #1)... I had great signal and the coords seemed right on. [:D]. TFTC.
