I Hate I-5, Sleeping GiantsBy: Haicoole Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
It took a lot longer to find this one than it should have. My eyes must've been trained for the road, rather than 'caches... Tried to be stealthy on a Saturday, just looked a bit strange I suppose. Used the other half of TeamBucky to shield me from the more normal folks milling about. TNLNSL, TFTC!
This Old HouseBy: Team Mikrochipz Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
We did almost a whole hour of driving before stopping for this cache, I was starting to get the cache-shakes... Nice little detour off I5, and the cache was exactly where I would have put it! TFTC!
I Hate I-5 Just a Little BitBy: Just a Short Walk Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
This was the last cache-stop on our trip up I5 from San Diego to San Francisco. Good thing, too, because it was jsut after 6pm and starting to get dark. Not many people in the area, but lots of bunnies and tumbleweed! We took a 2002 penny and left a 2004 penny. Other coins in the cache: 1996 nickel and 2001 penny. TFTC!
It's I-5 I hate, Not you Honey!By: Just a Short Walk & Along for the Ride! Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I enjoyed the walk out to this one, and even saw a red-tailed hawk zipping off a nearby fencepost to a "safer" spot from us across the aqueduct. We swapped the 1998 nickel for a 2000 version. The current coin inventory is: 2000 nickel, 2003 dime, and 3 pennies (2003, 1979, 1983). TFTC!
PVC-But not the pipe!By: kenlin1986 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Nice little area. We had the place all to ourselves on this Saturday afternoon, and it felt like there should be some old western theme music playing in the background... Spotted cache easily, so placed it with a little more cover. TFTC!
This ER is NOT at the hospital!By: kenlin1986 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen
I'm not sure I would have had the guts to try this one at night like wornout did! It took some convincing to get BuckyHef to jump the fence, but the signs indicated that it might be okay... What a great area! Well worth the energy it took to talk the other half into climbing. Didn't see any snakes, but the bunnies and birds were out in full force after the recent rains. I guess a lot of people that use the area don't read the signs, because we saw a lot of beer cans and spent shotgun shells too. This is CITO heaven, someone should tell kablooey or -- event anyone?!? Pen wasn't working and was leaking ink, so I exchanged it for a new pen, and took the Chivas bag to contain the old one. Also took a basketball hackey sack and left something else from my bag I think. Thanks!
Believe Your GPSrBy: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Yeah, BuckyHef's 60cs had routed us the long way to Christmas Tree earlier in the day, so I was pretty leery of believing any of the beeps and boops coming from the passenger seat by the time we hit the Patterson area. Despite his love for overly-expensive gadgets BuckyH was quite useful in the search and retrieval of this particular cache, so I'm glad he was along for the ride... TFTC!
Mr. ColemanBy: Brute-Force Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We stopped on our road trip from San Diego to San Francisco for some caching and a dinner break. We were pretty sure what we were looking for and where we should be looking. After about 20 minutes of noncacher-dodging and poking around, we figured we had to get some food and get back on the road. Oh well, I'll budget more time for this one on the next trip through here...
Are we there yet?By: Tim & LeAnn Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
It isn't just the kids saying "are we there yet", apparently. The adult geocachers were doing it on this northern-going trip too, as our last cache was (gasp) almost an hour of driving behind us... It was nice to do a little offroading after the rains in my 2wd Jeep and find a full sized cache to boot!
BATHROOM BREAKBy: C & MMorris Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
That nice little fountain pretty much ensured that this stop would also include a bathroom break for me! The log was really, really wet. We signed it as best we could. Quick find in a nice area, thanks!
This Is My TownBy: Tim & LeAnn Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
Came through your town to find this virt on a beautiful Saturday morning. Thanks for taking us here, and the rain of cotton we drove through to get to it! Email is on its way.
Pea Soup CacheBy: EHYAMO Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other
This cache was a must-stop, since we had done the Buellton Pea Soup virtual on the way down! T: toy eagle, L: smashed penny from Buellton Pea Soup Restaurant and a pen. TFTC!
My Hometown Micro 2By: KTownGirl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I was just about to give up on this one, since my fingers were starting to complain about the cold, when BuckyHef finally decided to get his hands out of his pockets and do some real caching... Found it, thanks!
My Hometown Micro 1By: KTownGirl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Easy find on a brisk, frosty morning. What a neat little town -- we stopped near here for the night on our trip from San Diego to San Francisco and loved the area. TNLNSL, TFTC.
Turk StationBy: kenlin1986 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Hard to believe this was a bustling area once. Now the insects reign (and the occasional pickup truck). Easy to spot this one -- TFTC.
Don't Go NutsBy: kenlin1986 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
There were enough caches in the area to warrant a significant detour off the interstate, of which this was the first... Nice hide! TFTC.
Traveling alongBy: TeamMiller Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Ahhh, another quickie along I5 -- that drive sure takes time when you stop every 10 miles to pick up a cache! Thanks for this one, TNLNSL.
Grape of the BasevineBy: Ryan and Zulema Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
We looked in some likely places for a while, then had to break out the hint. After much discussion with the other half of TeamBucky -- who doesn't like anything that looks like its involved with bending the law, I retrieved the cache. TNLNSL, thanks for the break at the grape!
Christmas TreeBy: Mountain Travler Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
BuckyHef's nice expensive 60cs routed us the long way to this one from Northbound I5. Since I was driving, and not in the navigator's seat, I had no way of knowing we were in for this long of a detour. So much for that extra few hundred... I'll take my legend and my brain any day. Anyway, we finally got to the site and I figured out what the title was all about. Spotted it relatively quickly, given all the hiding places. The log is soaked and needs airing out or replacement. Thanks!
Donuts by the SeaBy: MissMarbles Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
Nice little area that is very well kept! The gardener seems to be there full time, which is both good and bad for the geocacher... Found this one at the start of a long drive back to San Francisco (okay, so we made it twice as long by geocaching most of the way). The cache container could use some help, either in the form of duct tape (lid fell apart), a new big ziploc (current one has a hole), or a whole new container. This one isn't going to last much longer if it rains again like last week. Traded a SF muni token for a chicken, and took the Junque Jewelry TB with us on our travels. Didn't see the I Must Be Crazy TB. TFTC!

What's the point?By: tigger girl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Nice to find something big enough to leave my TB in San Diego. I was stuck in downtown for most of the week, so micros were the rule. I had been here a decade ago when I was an undergrad, and the canyons around sure have changed! TFTC.
San Diego Fitness CacheBy: QDman (adopted from Team Fitness Cache) Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro
I managed to tick off the points for this one over about 3 days while at a convention nearby. I woulda finished yesterday evening, before the rains came, but there were a ton of people from the conference millling about in the general area of the final after the afternoon events. You'd think they would go eat or something and let me cache... Since I interspersed my walks to the different points with caches in the various areas, I have no idea what my total mileage was or t he calories burned, but I know I spent far less time in droning talks than I might have without this multi! Thanks for the exercise.
Geisel LibraryBy: cessna1 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other
It was great to get out of the rain and get a cache at the same time. I found the cache easily, but was stumped by the log -- it could use more paper. I found what seemed to be the last date (7/04) and signed underneath. I spent a fair amount of time at this library a decade or so ago, back when I was an undergrad. I'm at UCSD at a meeting for the next few days -- boy there are a lot of new roads and buildings! What happened to the big grassy areas!!! TFTC.

Props to Woof! for helping me out via a last minute IM on this one. She was even ditching class (not that she needed me as a reason)... I've only done one other webcam cache, but this one was far easier since the computer user controls everything! Hopefully I'll get a chance to return the favor for Woof! someday! TFTWC.
Jury Duty CacheBy: Jaxxom Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
Hope I got the right one!! There is a bit of facade-updating happening within "bounce" range of the coords, but I was able to narrow my search area down to only part of the block [:P]. I didn't have the hint with me, just the description, so I have no idea on retrospect if my plaque corresponds to the hinted plaque. Anyhow, the email for Jury Duty 1 and 2 has been sent -- thanks for the walk around town.
Jury Duty Cache #2By: jaxxom Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Edit Cache IIIBy: Maps-R-Us Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
BuckyHef and I took a break from the nearby convention to look for this one. Nice hide! We were able to nab this one with people walking about, although most were congregated across the marina. Traded a Euro coin for a geocaching.com magnet. Thanks!
Binary BluesBy: Iron Chef Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
Finally convinced the other half to stop for a cache (provided it was in a convenient stopping area) on a road trip down to San Diego -- funny that Kablooey would turn up there about 3 hours later (assuming 26 should really be 16)! TNLNSL, thanks!
The Itsy CacheBy: The Plunketts Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Pea Soup ChallengeBy: bunthorne Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Skyline CacheBy: Just a Short Walk Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Christmas in JulyBy: kablooey Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
3:21p -- we were finished with our shortened hike in Monte Bello, but didn't really want to stop caching. It seemed like the rain was letting up a little bit, and "heck -- the cache is only about .2 mi off the parking lot..." Famous last words. By the time we got to the cachesite, we were cowering behind O'Tanenbaum like a couple of drowned rats. I ran around quickly to find the cache, and we signed the back of the log. T: digitalfish and L: button. By the time we returned to the Jeep, my shoes were covered in mud and my pants and shirt looked like I had walked through a carwash. Good times! #404 ends the day -- TFTC!
Monte BelloBy: Jish (adopted by PurplePeople) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
11:22a on a Monte Bello caching extravaganza to celebrate/achieve a milestone number. We hit this one fairly early in the hike, and BKT saw our first and only snake on this rainy and windy day. TN, Left a sticker. TFTC #391!
PEZtacular View 2By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
1:05p -- no PEZtacular views today, but we had fun hiking in an almost-deserted park anyway! It was getting a little too windy up on the ridge route, so this was one of our last on the route out before turning back to Page Mill via a path more protected from the elements. TNLNSL, TFTC #399!
Dokey OakeyBy: 4wheeler Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen
2:23p -- thanks for the loop! It was actually not raining and windy down in the Canyon, which was a welcome change from the ridge hike we had just completed. At first I was going to curse you, because I thought the "Oakey" was of a different sort as we were within about 100 feet -- I apologize for my lack of faith!! TNLNSL, TFTC #403.
Sweat? Not!By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
11:37a, whew it was getting windy on the ridge at this point and the fog was starting to roll in. BKT and I knew better than to continue with the changing weather conditions, but we hiked on to find more caches anyway... T digitalfish and pen, L button and playing cards. TFTC # 392!
Troll LizardBy: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
10:43a. BKT and I were there after calipidder to start our day of Monte Bello caching. When we found this cache we were dry; sprinkles couldn't stop us, but after 5 hours hiking we were drenching wet! TFTC.
Monte Bello Road - WestBy: MotorBug Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
12:17p -- it was here that the rains came... No snakes, though. The fog rolled over and over, misting our faces and reminding us how crazy we had been to continue the hike along the ridge as a storm rolled in. But man, was it fun! T: digitalfish, L:button and new ziploc for the log. TFTC #395!
Other VistaBy: darrenk13 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
1:54p -- we took the hard way to this one, from the wrong side of the Canyon trail area. There was sort of a game trail... Then there wasn't... Oh well, continue on... Gee, there's another game trail again.. It was pretty fun though. This was the *only* vista on this stormy day, as the clouds were all huddling on the ridge. T: digitalfish and some photos, L: button. TFTC # 402!
Succession (or: A Faulty Cache)By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
11:10a on a Monte Bello rainfest to celebrate/achive a milestone number. I really liked this hide, since I would have walked right by the plaque to which the cache refers without my geosenses working. Nice hide, and I might have figured out why this is a faulty cache (2...2...2... ways in one!). It hadn't quite started raining for this one, but we were in for it just up the road. T: batteries that may or may not work, L: button. TFTC #390.
bLEb bLObBy: Woof!, Marky, and Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
12:43p on a blustery, well downright stormy, Monte Bello caching day to celebrate/achieve a milestone number. I thought this was going to be that cache for that number, but we ended up not doing the Los Trancos caches first, because it looked like the rain was coming in faster than we had expected. Certainly by the time we got to bLEb bLOb, we were pretty wet... Anyhow, no snakes or anything today -- pretty easy find once you get there! T: digitalfish, L: button and a new ziploc for the log. TFTC #397!
Between Two SpacesBy: Marky & Joani & Woof! Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
At 10:58a on today's Monte Bello mudfest we found this one (okay, so I read the hint and then we found it...). Hee hee -- loved it! It hadn't started raining yet, so we were actually dry and relatively clean for this one. TN, Left a recycling button. TFTC, #389 !
Mello BelloBy: Marky & Joani & Woof! Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
12:28p -- who knew that the rain would come in so hard and so fast between closing MB West and walking over here? This was where the hike started to get hilarious, and we ended up sitting down where Joani must have sat in order to get our backs to the wind and do our caching duties. That resulted in our pants getting incredibly mucky on the butt! This was just the beginning, though, since we still had many more on the ridge to nab and the rain had only just begun... TNLNSL, TFTC #396!
Backpack CampBy: PhilippeGPS (maintained by trode) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
12:54p on a blustery and rainy day in Monte Bello. It started out ominous, but looked to be breaking about the time we found this cache. We were already wet, and so decided to continue on to finish the short caching loop from this point on. This was a neat campsite, and I can see how a kids' troop would do well here. BKT spotted this one, as I was studying the map to see what we'd miss... TNLNSL, TFTC #398!
No Time Limit!By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro
1:33p -- we had somehow missed this one using our manual routing method, so back up to the ridge (where the winds had gotten quite bad) to nab this one... Took the digitalfish. TFTC #401!
Rocky LedgeBy: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular
12n on the dot! This was one of the most fun caches of the day (and it was pre-rain too). I was so afraid of snakes I was beating the ground with my pseudo-hiking-stick, but BKT found a tick instead... T: digitalfish L: button. TFTC #394!
Lizard TrollBy: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro
11:45a -- the realm of the lizard was too cold, windy and wet for the cold-blooded troll king to preside over its languishing drip drip drip under the bridge of doom. We, too, were ready to pay homage to the Lizard Troll thusly in order to pass our mark in his realm, but alas our magic stick was unneccessary. A small token was required instead, so that the digitalfish inside mayest be procured on to warmer and drier lands. TFTC -- #393!
bLOb bLObBy: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
1:18p -- I thought the namesake for this cache would be the achieving find for my milestone number hike today, but the plans changed with the weather and bLOb bLOb is it! BKT and I were finally able to get down off the ridge, where the winds and rain were starting to take their toll, into some "better" hiking conditions. Nice excursion off the beaten path, and some nice trade items inside. I ceremoniously bandaged my heel (which was starting to blister) and continued on... T: digitalfish and CDRW, L: button and new GI Joe toy. TFTC #400!
Yumpin' Yimminie Coin Cache RevisitedBy: The Owl and The Pussycat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
I needed to use the hint for this one, since the GPSr couldn't settle on an area. Finally found it down the way a bit, and was able to retrieve it. Putting it back turned out to be a somewhat interesting endeavor, though. Traded a smashed penny for a quarter. Thanks!
See wall. Sea wall walk.By: TBD & D and SUPERflamingo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
It was definitely locals evening out at the Pacifica Pier today. I initially wrote the name for leg 1 down wrong, so I had a nice little walk before going back to verify my counting (counting good; reading bad). After that, getting through the steps was a matter of course. At the final site, there was quite a bit of newer-looking trash around, but I had already spent my garbage bag for the day on Counting With Grace... T: Dixie Chicks cassette and golf ball. L: Barry Bonds keychain, Polly Pocket doll, and a pen. Thanks!
Counting With GraceBy: robotman Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Came by to finish this one this afternoon, and thankfully remembered to get a nice large garbage bag out of the back of the Jeep to provide for some "cover" as well as provide a public service. I filled at least half the bag on my walk to and from the cache site. T: digitalfish, L: new deck of cards. TFTC.
Five Star HeroBy: Njal Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen
Today was a nice day to stop by the National Cemetary -- not too windy and not too sunny. I spent a good two hours here, mostly because I tried to shortcut my way through the projecting and ended up walking the grounds quite a bit. To actually get to the 5 star hero, whom I walked right by twice beforehand, I finally went back to the starting point and did the waypoint projection the right way. I got my exercise, anyway, and saw the multitudes who have served (or thier loved ones have served) and are now gone. Bay area/Peninsula native and Vietnam Vet, Sgt. Foster is one of those buried here, although a ways from the esteemed Admiral. I have family buried in the National Cemetary in Santa Fe, NM, so visiting others' family here was a sort of proxy for me. Thanks!
The Four Lucky CharmsBy: TBD & D Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I originally came to do this one before See Wall, but after getting stared at through the open door of the nearby pub I decided to come back when it was darker. The hint actually led me astray (or maybe that was my GPSr, who knows), so I looked in some places where decidedly evil cammo would have matched the hint (sorta), before looking in the right place at some very nice cammo. Some guy was out smoking during one point, but I don't think he saw me actually get anything... TFTC!

Secret GladeBy: SUPERflamingo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
This seemed like a good cache to start the day with, so cyan_blue and I met here to look for this one. Nice neighborhood and a very interesting "park". I got to the area and realized that all my CITO stuff was back in the car, or I would have spent more time picking up trash than looking for the cache. A nearby mattress hidden in a mini-cave tells me that someone likes this neighborhood as well. Cyan made the spot and I retrieved the cache. TNLNSL, Thanks!
Secret Coastal ViewBy: evanhk Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
The hint had to be broken out for this one after the two of us searched the immediate area of zeroing (and a little farther out the wrong direction), since there were so many devious places to hide a micro here. Thanks for showing us the area, although the view today was a bit ethereal with the light fog wisping around. TFTC!
Waddell Creek CacheBy: Noelle and David Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
This was the last cache for BpSnake, Woof!, and myself on a 3 day, 34 mile backpacking trip from Castle Rock State park headquarters to Waddell Beach via the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail. I was beat by the time we got to this cache, but just had to look for it... GPSr was pointing to the wrong place, generally, but an extension of the search area by Woof! yielded the cache (right where BpSnake had already looked [?] ). The cache itself was pretty gross. The log book and many of the contents were moldy, and none of us wanted to touch anything. As BpSnake indicated, we were able to sign the log using a special implement we had brought with us. Because of the nature of our trip, we were not equipped to help out, but this cache could sure use help.
Greyt Berry Creek FallsBy: Kaveh, Team Bench Leader Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular
I think we were all pretty tired. well maybe not BpSnake, when we arrived at Berry Falls on day 3 of a 3 day, 34-ish mile backpacking trip. We had lost 2 of our compatriots to the phone at Big Basin Headquarters, and so the trip continued with 4, not 6, people. Three of the four, however, were geocachers that would not be dissuaded from veering off the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail to get this one before stopping for lunch. The views were well worth whatever aches the walk up to the cache site added to the body! Thanks for the side trip!
Spur of the Moment 1By: Calikat Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Searched for this on Day 2 of a 3-day backpacking trip on the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail with BpSnake and Woof! We looked in the area, even used the hinted directions, and couldn't find it. Since we were on a wilderness expedition and this was a micro off a highway that could be driven to anytime, we decided to log a no-find and continue our trip after about 15 minutes of searching.
Goat Rock OverlookBy: bytemobile Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular
This cache provided a nice location for a lunchtime stop on day 1 of a 3 day backpacking trip to Waddell Beach with BPSnake, Woof! and some non-caching friends. I think each of us took turns locating it until everyone, even the non-geocachers in our group, had the pleasure of discovery. Thanks!
Jen and Charlie's Flies cacheBy: Jen and Charlie Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
The 3rd of 3 finds on the first day of a 30+ mile backpacking trip with BpSnake, Woof!, and 3 non-cachers. The non-cachers were happy to get a break, and watched our packs as we backtracked up the trail to find this one. We had really poor SAT reception in this area, and managed to figure out that we had passed the cache up maybe 300 feet down the adjoining trail. Once we got back to the cache site, there was spotty reception at best, so we radioed down for hints -- that didn't exist. Perseverance paid off, and Woof! found it where BpSnake and I weren't looking. TFTC!
WalruZ RockBy: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro
First find during a 3-day, 34-ish mile backpacking trip to Waddell State Beach with BPSnake, Woof! and some non-cachers. We just about passed this one up, since I only remembered to turn the GPSr on when we were about 200 feet away!! Given the title, and the proliferation of WalruZ caches in San Francisco recently, this was a pretty easy find, although I was temporarily distracted with some litter nearby... TFTC!

Who is it?By: JohnnyVegas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I've been sitting on the coords for the final step now for over 6 months, and thought I'd take care of it today since I was driving that direction to avoid traffic. Back when I did stages 1 and 2, this was the first cache that took me to this type of location, and it is a very active area on the weekend apparently, so it took a little getting used to. I wasn't sure what to expect for the last stage, but the location I was in was nowhere near what I thought would end this trip. Who was it, anyway? Took SnoWake keychain, left 20 peso bill. Edit: restored log deleted on accident.

I don't understand what the kids were whining about, it was a spectacular morning at Lake Merced today! [:p] Sats were off a bit though. The decoy turned out to be much more work, which was humorous in itself [:o)] Cyan_blue joined me for the hunt this morning, and we eventually caught our "fish". TFTC!

This was one of those "I think I have time for just one more" caches before work today. I'll need to come back when the establishment is open and have a little old-timey fun! Thanks for showing me the place, TNLNSL.

I had been by here for some nearby caches recently, but on a schoolday so decided not to stop. I found myself in this area again at 5:30 am today. I searched the area with my handy mini-mag, read the hint and searched some more, but to no avail. When I noticed that Starbucks should be open, off I went to get some coffee and go to work. Maybe I needed the aid of daylight for this one, maybe the aid of coffee, who knows...

I was at SFO early in the morning to drop someone off before the sun went up, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to do some caching before heading to work. I was going to attempt this one without the hint, but I saw too many places a micro could be. After the hint, I was still led astray by my GPSr, but eventually spotted it. Thanks!

#2 in the log, 5:15pm. Man I needed this find after my DNf at Dog Day nearby. I walked up to the area and pondered why a micro would be there, and then I realized what was happening... Thanks!
Ye Olde Fishing HolesBy: jef Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Easy find, particularly since someone had decided to leave a couple of obvious spoiler clues at the location. Because there was nothing in the cache page about such items, and it took away from my hunt, I removed them. Otherwise, I enjoyed the preparation and concept for the cache, TNLNSL, thanks!

Nice walk out "in" the bay! I had never actually bothered to go that far before. Thanks for the lid sighting!

It was a nice breezy afternoon to walk around the marina and catch some "caches". Found this location around 4pm. Email is on the way. TFT Smiley!
Stay on TargetBy: beej71 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
I really enjoyed the location and the art. I just about walked into someone's very nearby "house", however, so future visitors be aware that you are caching in someone's "backyard". This might explain all the noncacher entries in the log, which are quite funny... TNLN, although the visitors would prefer if we all left some beer rather than our normal GC swag, SL -- Thanks!
Dog Day AfternoonBy: Chris Juricich Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
I guess I didn't have the same luck with my hunt as cyan_blue... Spent over a half hour looking in the obvious places, as well as some not-so-obvious ones, then moved on to greener pastures to fry some other fish...
Ode to My LegBy: Woof! Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Not chosen
Like WalruZ, I started this cache a long time ago -- back when I first started to geocache, and just now got to the final cache site. Heh, themed caches are cool. It was quite foggy today, so no views, but an eerie ambiance nonetheless. I left a story in the paper log about our journey, and won't post it here so as not to spoil the final location. TNLN, thanks!

Some renovation in the nearby buildings suggests this area will soon be fairly busy during the weekdays. I followed the arrow, and it became apparent what I needed to do. A careful eye in the waning sunlight locked onto the correct item, thanks!

We took the sign about driving up to the best parking lot as a suggestion, since the gate was half open and we noticed other cars periodically going and coming during our hike around the Diamond loop trail. It was very foggy today, but that added to the ambiance of being so obviously high and not being able to see around you. Took the keyhider, left a bracelet, CITO canister, and ziploc for the somewhat damp log. The log is not in great shape, but there are spaces on other signed pages that can still be used.
Little Foot PrintsBy: Ford's Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Saw some little footprints and some big ones, but no bunnies around today [:(]. Lots of horses doing their thing in groups on the beach (and in the parking lot). TNLN -- Thanks!
Pigeon's RoostBy: Just a Short Walk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Enjoyed the find, although it was getting quite cold here by late afternoon! The hostel looks like a neat place to stay for a night. Thanks for bringing me back to a place I used to visit as a kid, but rarely stop at now. Took a 2000 Quarter, left a 1978 Quarter. Other occupants of the cache are a 1999 Quarter, a 2000 Penny (which has seen better days), and a Family Fun Center token.
Who would? Driftwood!By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Neat wood! We hung around on lookout mostly, since there were a lot of dog walkers out for a late afternoon stroll. When the coast was clear, it didn't take too long to get to the cache. Took a pink bracelet to make some room -- Thanks for a nice evening stroll, even if we didn't have a canine to accompany us!
Bottom BlueBy: Ford Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other
Enjoyed poking around the structure, but the nearby establishment was making the other half of TeamBucky nervous this morning, so we used the hint. Since BuckyD used to row, she juxtaposed her thinking and we found it immediately. TFTC!

Not a soul in sight this Saturday, but someone has spent some time decorating recently. Enjoyed the well-hidden drive up, so we snapped a few photos of the Neopets and left them here to continue their journey. Swapped some coins for a Soul Asylum CD. TFTC!
Mail Call of the WildBy: AltDotAir Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
TeamBucky had some time, and the 'nocs in the car were fine but we failed to see what was meant to be and many a pole were inline I've been to part 2 a lot
and the murals were right on spot
we went inside
to count with pride
and thought we were set to walk
BuckyD doesn't react to poison oak
so she was the one to go for broke
it was fairly sparse
and we were on course --
we found the cache with a poke
alas our counting was off by two
but again a hint was provided by you
so we opened the box
and did a swap
to complete the delivery -- wahoo!
