Pier to Pier Treasure

By: surfcal Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Beautiful day around the piers today. I decided that I had worked enough this week and left to enjoy the afternoon! TFTC.

The Tortoise and the Fare

By: Cyan_Blue, ArnoldMHS, and Emmett_the_Sane Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Despite the great weather, great parking, and great sundae, another cyan_blue cache goes unfound for me. I'll have to check my coords and try back another time...

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz #3

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Well, I'm glad I got to this one while its still dry!! Someone should invent a waterproof film canister someday....

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz #2

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Thought I'd grab a few more today, just to celebrate #36! Thanks Joe.

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz #1

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Ah, the first of the series. Actually, today I hit the first 4, but who's counting anyway... Thanks Joe!

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz #4

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This one was a bit tough for me. A daytime run proved thoroughly unfruitful, even for reconaissance, as a kid was just sitting there and I had no chance of waiting him out. So, a nighttime run occurred (this time with WalruZ in tow) and I couldn't seem to zero in on it then either. After some time, WalruZ re-searched where I had made a mess, and found it there somehow... TFTC.

Hotel Beacon

By: CALHUNTER Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nabbed this cool hide with WalruZ on the way back from JoeSpaz' birthday event. Thanks for the one on the way!

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz

By: TeamSpaz Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

Nice to see all the friendly faces, and I'm always up for a little birthday cake! Happy #36 Joe!

Los Cerittos Community Center

By: TeamSpaz Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Had to come back at night for this one. Lots of softball practice going on today, with practice uniforms and at least 3 different sets of coaches all for one team. That's some dedication! Anyhow, they were positioned right so that I couldn't actually search, just scope out where I was certain I would have to search, so with all that r econaissance, a swing back by after the event today proved a quick find. TFTC!

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nice puzzle. Thanks for the smiley -- I worked hard for this one!

King of the Hill

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Definitely an adventure to try this one at night... I'm saying that approaching from Rivera ups the terrain, but that's just my opinion and that could change with the wind. Also, future nighttime hunters may want to avoid the big patch of poison oak-infested succulent that I managed to fall into while following the arrow. Left a trinket from She blinded me with science that I took because that cache wouldn't close. Thanks!

Sam's Place

By: Ford's Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This one had been disabled the last several times I've been by this way, so I was excited when it popped up on WalruZ' GPSr! Neat location, and WalruZ was astute enough to notice the cache which I had looked over. TFTC.

Salinas Art Grounds

By: The Plunketts Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

There was a sprited game of football going on nearby, but we managed to loiter around enough to find the cache. TFTC!

Purple Gemini

By: Doug Jennifer Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

It shouldn't have taken me this long to turn a DNF around, but for whatever reason it did. Blame it on actually NOT being called in for jury duty this year, I guess... The park was deserted, although the weather was quite nice, so it was an easy hunt. Thanks!

Fence Line

By: momagna Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nice little hide, I grabbed it while WalruZ was still amazed at the great health of the nearby Poison Oak -- berries and all... TFTC!

Let's Just Be Friends

By: Polar Turtles Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I remember hunting a missing cache in this place just a year ago. This one should have better luck than that one, although it might be somewhat conspicuous to hunt in daylight... Thanks!

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nah, I'm not falling for another one of those "I walked right up to it" logs.. UnhUh, no way. I got things to do tonight after work... Yes, after my daytime job as a scientist (I'm so ashamed)...

Secret Stash by Hederbell and Red5

By: TeamSpaz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Nice hide. Took the TB, left a smashed penny. TFTC.

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Humph.

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz #15

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Now this is urban bushwhacking! The weeds to the cache were more than waist-high on me, which made for a unique experience in the middle of Fremont (of all places). Easy to spot, just had to wait out the neighbors coming back from an active day at the park. TFTC.

Happy Birthday JoeSpaz #18

By: joespaz Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Well, it wasn't the type of container I was expecting, nor in a place I was getting accustomed to for the HBJS series, but I found it anyway.

Among Us Eucalyptus

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Nice way to end the daylight. Thanks!

Car Be Chiffon

By: pdx55 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

So, since I'm not chasing FTFs anymore, I just happened to be back in the area after work -- this time during daylight -- and thought I'd swing by and see if I couldn't pop this week-long DNF streak. Yay me!

Car Be Chiffon

By: pdx55 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

That's it, no more FTF runs for me. I can't find anything lately...

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I've decided that I'm temporarily blind and should no longer cache without aid.

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Man, not only have I not had much time to cache recently, but I sneak away to get what I thought was an "easy one" after work and come up empty-handed. How depressing. I guess I belong back in skool.

It's One Merry Time!

By: ommt Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Not sure about the good signal part, but it was a good hide considering the area! WalruZ and I headed over after work, and enjoyed the lights all around us when we got to the fountain. Its a unique view at night. We ended up needing the hint, as at one point all the GPSr was doing was alternating between about 200 feet and no sats. At the cache site, I still read 200 feet so I sat my GPSr down and ignored it. By the time we found the cache and signed the log, it had settled down to 40.

The Palace of Fine Arnolds

By: Cyan_Blue and ArnoldMHS Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Doing a little after work caching with WalruZ, and swung by to visit the ducks. See WalruZ' log for our photos. TFTC!
