This Should Be WalruZ's CacheBy: Kindergarten Teacher Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
{sigh} I remember a time when Woof! and I would race dyknomight to all the cool the San Francisco FTFs. Now I'm in the middle of Joe Spaz-land..
Camp Evers Fish ParkBy: Kealia Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
On our way to pick up some dubloons at an un-event nearby (thanks for that, too) and thought we'd get some local cache-flavor on the way. Neat sculpture! TFTC.
Mystery ExchangeBy: Sgt Stitches Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
Heh, this cache is famous now, so I had to do it! Didn't have an appropriate item to trade with me, so I swapped TBs to fulfill my need to do something at this cache. Thanks.
Scotts Valley HistoryBy: Chickasaw of ynots4 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Heh, I didn't even have the benefit of puzzle info today, but managed to show WalruZ up at a couple of steps to this one... I guess I'm good at visually sorting through info to verbal instructions, or else I was just lucky to be looking at the right place at the right time. Thanks for the history tour!
Benchmark Q 1455By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Thanks for the quick cache on the way to pick up some coins. Hard to tell what WalruZ is doing sometimes...
Musical MicroBy: CrisandBee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I liked the artwork on the two nearby stores. They look like fun places to shop! TFTC.
Hocus Pocus Here?By: CacheCreek Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
DavidT21 came up with this one while WalruZ and I were searching other candidates for a cache of the suspected size. Thanks, I think.
Benchmark C 1455By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
There were an awful lot of tools required to get at this one, because DT21 seemed to have jimmied it out of reach somehow... I was glad when the retrieval was complete and we could go pick up our coins nearby, TFTC!
Spirit TrapBy: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
I've been feeling nothing but good spirits following me lately. Of course, I haven't been caching all *that* much, either...
Quest for the Masks: Le-WahiBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Even after all the caching I've done in this area, I've never been to this park before. Amazing. Nice hide apparatus!
Quest for the Masks: Po-WahiBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Man, did I feel watched. At least two of the nearby houses had people that looked like they were "working from their home office" today... Quick find after WalruZ read me some information off the cache page, a previous log I think. TFTC.
Quest for the Masks: Ko-WahiBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Used the shores scout coords to finally get this one. Lotsa good stuff to trade for in this cache. I dropped some play doh, a fancy bottle stopper and a couple trackable CA wooden nickels for a HotWheels car for WalruZ and Geo Baby left her sig magnet.
Quest for the Masks: Ta-WahiBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Thanks for the series, we enjoyed our afternoon caching by the Bay.
Quest for the Masks: Onu-WahiBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
Figured since it was advertised as bike friendly, then it had to be stroller friendly also. Wrong. So I went and nabbed it after I saw what was becoming of the stroller wheels that were going to be hoisted back into my car later. TFTC.
Quest for the Masks: Ga-WahiBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Starting to get dark by the time we got this cache, so I was glad that we were nearing the end of our caching journey -- although Geo Baby seemed to be doing just fine riding around in the stroller, I was getting kinda tired. Its always nice to spend time around Redwood Shores. TFTC.
Silas started it allBy: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Mmmmm, lunch. Thanks honey!
Quest for the MasksBy: Eagle81 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
This was a very nice afternoon series to do with the family. We tend to go paperless, though, and have to owe some favors to a fellow cacher that went through the puzzle cache page to help us match up our symbols/numbers/letters. WalruZ found yet another cool toy he wanted, so I threw in some more trade stuff from Geo Baby's stash in the diaper bag. I don't think I've released this many wooden nickels in a while... Thanks for the fun!
Let The Sun ShineBy: kaesky Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Methodical is the way to go with this one. Didn't quite get the flat surface part of the description, though, there were wet leaves everywhere. Log is wet and might be full (we might have signed over some faded names...dunno) TFTC!
Shrub SideBy: kaesky Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
What WalruZ said. Nice cammo, but that's about all there was left there. A kid skateboarding nearby was probably wondering what people stop down that way for...
Cross TrailsBy: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
First stop post-Xmas festivities. We figured we had about an hour's light left to get what we could in the area. WalruZ made the grab on this one as Geo Baby looked on.
Court GuardBy: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I nabbed this cache while WalruZ was changing GPSr batteries. Looks like rain... TFTC!
Walnut's GapBy: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Did these kaesky caches post-Xmas festivities nearby. It started to rain when we got to this one, but all was as advertised!
Back On BowdenBy: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
WalruZ has all these mixed up. I searched one potential spot while he searched the other, and he came up with it. TFTC!
Momma's MagnetsBy: kaesky Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Couldn't come up with this one, but it was starting to pour and dark and a neighbor's dog eventually got fed up with me whacking around in the bushes and such near its fence and started barking like armageddon was afoot. Put in a pretty good search, though.
Kid Fun DayBy: Mira Jade & Howeler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Visited with the family, thankfully Mallory is too young to insist on visiting the interior just yet... Dropped a traveller tag travel bug that I just couldn't get to logging. Thanks!
Red, Green, and BlueBy: Jimswim Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
This was a really fun stop on a lazy caching afternoon, although perhaps a little windy for Geo Baby's tastes. We sat and worked out the puzzles and although WalruZ says that he doesn't like these sorts of things, if there isn't a time crunch I do. The nicest part about it is that we sat and did them together on Christmas Eve Day, without any sort of pressure or Other Thing We Should Be Doing to worry about. I've got pix too! Thanks.
Black AcornBy: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Ahhhhh, to be out in the wilderness -- with the baby on someone else's torso! Thanks.
DumboBy: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Cute. WalruZ jumped on the stroller option when he saw the paved path after walking out to ARC with her in the front pack... He was talking about the cache and I just couldn't figure why he was saying what he was saying until he told me that he'd seen the container before. Really, I was worried that he'd started drinking or losing his faculties while I'd been nursing Geo Baby after the last cache... Left a Geo Baby magnet, log full. TFTC!
Another Raffle CacheBy: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Not only was Geo Baby getting a little heavy on proud papa, she was also getting a little cranky from hunger (which still happens about every 2 hours or so). I was able to run up ahead a little so I found the cache first. Then I ran up ahead as we went back to the car so that I didn't have to deal with the full vocal range of the child... Dropped a travelling geocoin, and traded out some sig-item-type stuff for some other toy-type stuff. Thanks!
For the good of the gameBy: N2Books2 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
Out and about looking for a good hardware store in Pleasanton today. Didn't run across one, but I think I sidetracked myself by picking up caches that "were just over there" on the map while I was looking. Oh well. Nice virtual; this place was all but deserted on this winter weekday. Emailed answers for both Geo Baby and myself, thanks!

There was plenty of cover from nearby eyes to go for this one. TFTC!
Home RunBy: Cap'n Jack Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Quick find with no one around on a winter weekday. Too wet to be playing ball I guess.
LECBIHBy: Cal78 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Lots of this style hide in the area... TFTC!
PruneTree StopBy: Koolrat Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Nice hide! Our GPSr was pointing all over the place, not sure why. I finally started searching things that I would hide stuff in/on/under and came up with it. Thanks!
101 Excursion... YBy: Jim and Jeanette Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Yup, often see a patrol car parked on the overpass with a large gun-type thing pointed at 101... I'm sure that they also monitor this site for strange people pulled over looking suspicious too! Quick find for us, so no coppers to question our motives!
101 Excursion: SouthboundBy: Jim and Jeanette Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
On a pre-Christmas Christmas outing to Grandma's in order to share in that wonderful tradition of consumerism during the holidays! Thanks for the nature break on the way there!
101 Excursion: DumbartonBy: cachecrashers Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Flashlight seemed to gravitate right to it for me. We travel this route often, too, so thanks for the quick find to break up the drive!
BetabelBy: #1 geobears Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Its really nice to have all these caches to break up our drive between Fremont and Monterey, but we seem to be getting them all on this trip... {sigh} WalruZ made the find on this one, since he's always one to get down and dirty with the landscape...
Kids RockBy: #1 geobears Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Found this cache on a windy and rainy night, hard to spot in the dark. We swapped some travelling geocoins, TFTC!
Top of the ParkBy: bakemono415 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Other
This is at least the 4th time I've been back to Strawberry Hill to either find or hide or retrieve a cache, but its such a nice walk to do after work that I don't mind doing it again. Geo Baby rode in the front pack and I got some great exercise. I think this cache will last a bit longer than what has been here previously. The TB was not in the cache, but I added a smurf TB. TFTC!
Pool of EnchantmentBy: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Strollers provide excellent cover for this type of hide. I believe that Geo Baby was enjoying her caching experience up to and through this cache. My coords wanted me to wade around in the pool, but I don't think people would have found me too enchanting if I did. TFTC.
I met him in a swamp down in Dagobah...By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Cache has been replaced in a similar hiding spot within EPE of the "muggled" cache. Funny how those hiding places walk off by themselves, eh?
Not To Be OverlookedBy: Geochuck-SF Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
No issues with security tonight, and the gate was open (which really surprised me, since I was here on a weekday afternoon before when it was chained and I was there well past dusk on a weeknight today). I had a little help narrowing my search area from a previous finder, since that was puzzling me on my last visit here (GPSr was definitely pointing the other direction then). Thanks for the hide.
Java BeachBy: image415 and joescales Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
Geo Baby and I went in to work at the Parnassus campus today to help out, so I thought I'd grab this cache afterwards. It was also a nice excuse for a latte, and a little snacktime for Geo Baby. I know I checked there when I was here before so it ended up being the last place I checked today. I found the hint and the terrain rating to be incredibly misleading...
Leviathan of ScienceBy: dgreno Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
WalruZ, LeChuck, Geo Baby, and I (accompanied by BKT) were on our way up to Tilden and decided to stop on by. I recognized the sculpture immediately, since I've been in these establishments a few times (CERN, LBL and SLAC). WalruZ grabbed the answers for the virt and emailed 'em. Thanks!
Risu no UchiBy: Choberiba Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Definitely one to do when the PO is out of season. Just watch all them twigs...
Signing OffBy: Kaveh, Team Bench Leader Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
Like WalruZ said, a wet log in a torn mini-ziploc sitting on the ground. I woulda packed a film canister in the diaper bag and rescued this cache from its lameness, but I hadn't read the previous logs before I left.
"no longer" Combo Cache Part 2By: Kaveh of Team Bench Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
Nice hide! We made our way up the trail with folks passing Geo Baby back and forth in her front pack. I guess sharing the weight is a good thing. The view was great and the seating area at the cache site was much appreciated. TFTC.
Take It EasyBy: Kilroy Gang Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
I thought I was pretty slick the way I drove here... WalruZ saw all the ivy and looked all dumbfounded, then he started slowly turning in a circle, so I figured I should jump in and find the cache. Never been to the nearby establishment, but I'm hoping some special occasion will present itself and I'll get taken there someday. TFTC.
Bzerk Park+Rec Orphans #02: Ohlone ParkBy: zuckermn Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Not too crowded for a Berkeley park, if you know what I mean... We were able to spot it pretty easily, but then again we knew what we were looking for, more or less. Thanks!
Phoenix ArisenBy: motogrrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Driven by here a few times but never had the time to stop by for the cache. Today we had a great reason -- Geo Baby had a blowout -- so we stopped to survey the damage and clean up the kid. You could say that it was emergency preparedness in action, sort of, since we had everything we needed in the diaper bag; wipes, diapers, spare clothes, plastic bag... After that was all taken care off, WalruZ went to strap her back in while I found the cache. It was on the ground out in the open, waiting for muggleification, so I rehid it in a manner more suited to its container. Traded stuff, but forgot what. Thanks!

Out To LunchBy: nielsenc w/Glimcoil Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Came by around 3 pm and used Geo Baby as cover to search. I used to spend a lot of time at this place back in my school days. Looks much nicer now. TFTC.

The Lost Village of Summit SpringsBy: PurplePeople Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Came up for this one to allow Geo Baby to log a forest cache for the coin quest. I've been by here before and wondered why there wasn't already a trailhead cache... Well done!!
Knott's LandingBy: buffalocreek Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Surprised to find ourselves searching for a cache in this neighborhood, as were the neighbors -- one of whom came over and tried to find out what we were doing there. We ended up leaving because of that, and on the way out happened to spot the cache. Given the issues with the neighbors, I do hope permission was given for the hide.
Curious GeorgeBy: kc8hnz Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small
WalruZ chose one and I chose another and his had it. Thanks for the monkeying!
Ricketts CrossingBy: #1 geobears Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Was pretty sure I'd know what the container would be, but couldn't find it anyway. It was midday on a Sunday, which didn't help matters much (for me, WalruZ doesn't bother with such external appearance issues).
I feel pretty...Oh so prettyBy: #1 geobears Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Spotted it immediately, which was a good thing because a transient had opened up shop nearby. TFTC.
Historic HomesBy: The Plunketts Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
The whole family was in Salinas for the CITO event and stayed the weekend with Grandma so she could get some quality face-time with Geo Baby. We came by this cache after the CITO, but I managed to lose my Palm (and the answers to this virt) somewhere in the car this weekend. When I find it again and send the email I'll change this log! Wahoo, palm found and email sent on behalf of myself and Geo Baby. TFTC!
Two Heads Are Better Than OneBy: Touchstone Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
It was starting to get to be *that time* -- the time when you know you're going to get the phone call from the antsy relative wondering what is holding you up (and its almost always the "one last one" on the way there) -- so I wasn't sure we should stop. But we did anyway, and got some photos too. Thanks for the cache!
EVIL4--4LIVEBy: Tiki Treasure Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Waited for WalruZ to flounder around with this one before walking right to it. Thanks for the ego boost!
New GarageBy: The Plunketts Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Wow, when did they put this here!?! I don't remember the structure being here on my last trip through downtown, but then again if there isn't a cache someplace I tend to not notice it!! Thanks for the smiley.
Frontal LobotomyBy: Touchstone Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
I found it right away, but didn't know it until about a half hour later! Sometimes I think I needn't listen to WalruZ so much. Thanks for the creative hide.
Natividad Creek Park CITO - FREE GEOCOIN!By: Central Coast Geocachers of California (CCGC) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen
Had a great time at this event -- my first ever CITO! I was surprised at how easy it was to do the work with the Baby in tow, how many little geocachers were eager to trash out, and how much trash we could accumulate from one path in the park?!? Meeting some new faces from the CCGC-GBA regions was just another perk, as was satisfying my final requirement for the coin quest. Thanks for a fun morning in Salinas!

RiverfallsBy: nielsenc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Parked a little farther away than we really had to, but took a nice stroller ride over to the cache site. It was windy enough today to keep the noncaching public inside, generally, so the muggle factor was attenuated and we grabbed it pretty quick! This is one of my last Coin Quest requirements I needed to bag, TFTC!
