Nothing Fits

By: fence_climber and the_navigator_25 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Stopped by on our way from here to there to pick up this cache, conveniently located in the Hayward quadrangle. No problems this morning, with the mall just beginning to stir. TFTC.

Neighborhood Park...

By: 143Chaos Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Cute little area, thanks for placing a cache here. Park was appropriately named, I guess...

Tinea Pedis

By: WRITE SHOP ROBERT Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I knew where to look for the first stage, but it took me some time to actually come up with the hide, since I was expecting something situated slightly differently. Cache is in good shape and the area was well worth the visit! Thanks.

Windsurfing By The Big House !!!

By: 143Chaos Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I thought it was a cute lil hidin' spot. The porta potty nearby left quite a lot to be desired, though. Geo Baby had fun getting out of her carseat for this one, even though it was a bit chilly out there.

I'm Batman!

By: UnleashTheFreak Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I guess I was doing an impression of Geo Baby's wallking skillz while searching for the cache. My slight coordination problem didn't stop me and I didn't manage to fall on any broken bottles that were lying about - bonus! TFTC!

thank you

By: cooperphoto Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was in the area looking for a playground for Geo Baby to work out her issues with the carseat, but I still have a lot of trouble driving by caches so we stopped yet another time on the way there. Given the hider, I was expecting something much more evil but I'm glad that it came to me fairly quick so Geo Baby wouldn't become too frazzled. TFTC!

Reach For the Middle

By: benya Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Quick find with all the clues from the cache description, parking was a different story... BKT was right, it was somewhat visible, but I guess no one is really looking for it. It was at this cache that I figured I was never going to drive by a hardware store and decided to return westward to the Kragen's. TFTC!

Special Delivery

By: dimkasmir OwlCacher Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Busy area at midday while waiting for Geo Baby to finish her nap. Thanks for replacing the cache.

Owl Burrow

By: benya OwlCacher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Coords were a bit off for me, but I was able to deduce what I needed to do from some previous logs. I was still wandering around the neighborhood looking for a hardware store at this point, and waiting for Geo Baby to come to a complete awakening from her midday nap. TFTC.

Shopping by the water

By: Bob Elliecat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was driving nearby when I got a call that the hike to 5-field K-hill was cancelled by the water district that managees the land, so I was pretty disappointed. I had already crossed the Dumbarton, and so the plan was to hit the San Mateo Bridge to get back over to the East Bay so that I could relieve WalruZ from baby duty and he'd head to work. I just couldn't resist stopping for the handful of caches I had outstanding in Foster City. This was the first of the bunch, and the area was deserted this morning. Thanks.

I just couldn't resist stopping for the handful of caches I had outstanding in Foster City. I'm not sure what MotorBug found, but I found an ammo can containing only a piece of paper in a baggie. The paper was a replacement log, signed by Shores Scout. I added my name under theirs. I remember doing David's Decoys in this very search area about 2 y ears ago, which had similar mini-muggle issues and was archived. That was a small tupperware container (among other things, hence the "Decoys" in the title). I imagine that this area probably can't handle something like an ammo box, but I've been wrong before...

Cheapco or Employee of the Month

By: Bob Elliecat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This was the busiest part of the parking lot early this morning. Wandered around trying not to look suspicious, hopefully I was successful at that part... TFTC.

Urban Beach #1

By: magata Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I spent about 20 minutes at the site, even having consulted the hint fairly early on, before finding this well-concealed cache. With the weather the way it was, I didn't have to worry about stealth very much, but I still felt watched with all the residence windows seeming to face me. Thanks for the cache!

Quick find along a very pleasant trail. Thanks!

This Old Tree

By: The Plunketts Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

We spent quite some time looking for this cache, then I saw something that looked a little too fresh for the area. I started digging and there it was! TFTC.

Sea Otter Schwag

By: georgeandmary Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

It is always nice to find an oldie in a cool hiding area that is in really great shape. We spent some time here reading the logbook and having some water, just generally enjoying some great hiking weather. TFTC!

Just Bluff "n" Rock

By: Just a Short Walk Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

There were lots of fresh horse tracks going up the Oil Well Trailspur from Ft. Ord to the cachesite despite a "trail closed" marker at the junction with Oil Well Road. Since we are lower impact than the horses and I just couldn't imagine us bushwhacking from the recommended approach, we went ahead and took the sane route to the cache. Cache was in great shape and it was a pleasure to read such a nice old log book. Swapped some stuff, TFTC.

Mean One

By: BirdmanATW and el Jim Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

WalruZ and I set out for a day of hiking in Ft. Ord with this as our destination cache. It was a nice moderate round trip from one of the Toro Estates trailheads that included a few oldies as well! We were excited to see a virgin logsheet when we arrived here, and we swapped out some swag as well. TFTC and the great day of hiking!

E.B.S.B. #4 Needle in a Haystack(A.K.A. Ivy evil)

By: CrazyOn2Wheels Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I had been by here yesterday, but Geo Baby was so finished with driving around and doing stuff that she wouldn't quiet down to let me get out of the car and look. Nothing like a screaming baby to attract attention... Today she seemed much happier since her brother was hanging out in the back seat with her, so WalruZ and I were able to get out without the little anti-stealth device going off. Thanks for the hide.

Union City Marketplace Shopping Center

By: saopaulo1@hotmail.com Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

We were just about to give up on this one, when I spotted a portion of it that I apparently had disturbed on my first pass through the hiding spot. The area seems a bit damp for an altoids container, but I suppose if you swap them out frequently enough it won't be a problem. TFTC.

700 Levee Road

By: saopaulo1@hotmail.com Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Out with the family this morning after a Rooty-Tooty breakfast. We had a nice morning "cleaning up" the tri-city area Traditionals. I pretty much went undistracted to this one while WalruZ made it more complicated for himself.

Union City with a view

By: saopaulo1@hotmail.com Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Micro

Our only problems were the incessant dog barking across the street and my sub-standard shoes. Terrain was more like a 2.5, but the geo trail forming on the hillside paired with cachers totally exposed to the houses along the street is likely to get this one muggled by curious neighbors before the erosion becomes an issue.

Keep your eye on the road and the mission

By: saopaulo1@hotmail.com Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I hopped out first to do this one, but stuck my hands in enough icky stuff to then let WalruZ do a more thorough job. TFTC.

Ardenwood's Back Door

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Geo Baby and I went for a stroll today after an earlier-than-usual nap. Had a little trouble extracting it, but then I became left-handed...

Pat's Bench

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I think this has to be some sort of record for me as far as time delay to finishing a multicache (particularly a 2 stager!). I'm happy to see that the City, in all its infinite wisdom, has decided to preserve this neat little area and spare it from the "improvements" they are doing to the creek banks. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache here.

Any chance on getting an owner to check on this one before Christmas?

Fremont Hub

By: saopaulo1@hotmail.com Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

We were gonna do a walk-around today with the baby, but as it turns out it was a drive-by. No matter, since the rains were about to let loose anyway. Thanks for the cache close to home.

It'd be really cool to have those intermediate sets of coords listed in the additional waypoint section...
