I picked up Geo Baby from daycare and we headed to the playground. Turns out we were 4th and 5th to find this cache. Nice straightforward placement, thanks!
Hide, The Rest NBBy: BushandBoots Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
This stop offered a much needed walking break for Geo Baby, and provided a new county for me! Yay cache!
Check Your BrakesBy: jaegermann Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Brakes? Check. Good thing too, it would have been hard to do the road trip without 'em. Walked over from the side road, where someone conveniently left a break in the fenceline so we could access these caches. Thanks for the cache.
AT THE FORTBy: BAKO1313 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
It was a bit too chilly to take a walk around the fort in the morning, although we probably didn't have time anyway, since they wanted money to enter and we really wanted to get back home to the Bay Area before nightfall. We let Geo Baby out of the car seat to walk around anyway, and she really didn't want to get back in when it was time to move on. I guess sitting in the car for two days will do that to a toddler, no matter how much video entertainment is offered up. I imagine that this area doesn't get much foot traffic and that's what keeps this bold hide quite safe. Thanks for the cache.
Peaceful FortBy: Crystalline Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Nobody but the deer around on a very chilly Saturday morning. Thanks for the cache!
This Pond is Not For FishingBy: Syd and Dain Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Nice location for the cache, and nice placement. I really like these containers -- so superior to film cans in so many ways. The pond was all fenced off, but it looked very nice and calm on a chilly mountain morning. Thanks for the pit stop!
One Nation Under GodBy: SpiritWolfe Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We had no idea that this was a franchise gimmick, and so we were surprised to see the lady out front when we came for the cache. WalruZ spent some time taking pictures, since this was a waymarkable. Thanks!
Stop BoxBy: 3XTroutMan Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
I wasn't sure how much more caching we were going to be able to do on our drive back North, since neither WalruZ nor Geo Baby were in very good moods about spending another day in the car -- even if Elmo DVDs and geocaching were featured entertainment. Anyway, I had given most of the food that was left at our motel's complimentary breakfast spread to the two of them, and so after an hour of caching the backroads down the mountain I was starting to get hungry. Since there were 3 caches at this particular stop I made the executive decision that we should pull off, even if the two of them were not hungry and still grumping around. Spotted the cache as we drove up, which was a good thing because that gate made me nervous. Thanks for the reason to stop and sit down at Iron Skillet!
FrazierBy: MightyDee Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were on a road trip to/from the SF Bay Area and Phoenix, and this was our last day of driving after a week away from home. We came from the southern direction on a frontage road, as we'd stayed the night in nearby lodging and were checking out the area, and noticed that a deliberate break in the fence was put there just for us to stop and get the geocaches at the rest area (which otherwise would have been quite inconvenient to access). Thanks!
Tejon PassBy: Castlebrook Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Pulled to the side and off the main drag to find this one, but that overpass seems to have some nearby neighbors that drove by as we were working on the cache. Gotta love that kind of timing. WalruZ had a little trouble with log extraction, but we eventually got it. Thanks for the cache.
Sleet, Apple Pie and Coffee!By: robb_dogg Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
This cache started off our last day on the road, which was rather welcome for all three of us. WalruZ, Geo Baby and I had stayed the night at the motel at this exit, and tried to get a nice early start of it in the morning. We'd been away from home for a full week and even Geo Baby was getting tired of watching Elmo DVDs in the car. Thanks for the cache on this crisp and chilly mountain morning.
Keep on Truckin'!!By: Skeleton Crew Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Busy little area in the morning, despite the high gas prices. We stayed at the motel nearby, and while those prices weren't high, the experience had it's pros and cons. Anyhow, we got an early start in the morning, as we could hear most of the occupants of the motel also doing, and so we grabbed the nearby caches on our way out. The McDonalds was doing gangbuster business and it took just a little longer to find this hide than it might have at a less busy time (whenever that is). Thanks for the cache.
Grape of the Topvine or Dead Man's CurveBy: Castlebrook Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
I've been wanting to stop for this one the last few trips through here, but it was never very convenient to pull off and find my way to the cache site. This morning was pretty windy and cold, and we were traveling down side roads for as long as we could before getting on the interstate for a long and monotonous drive back home. WalruZ tagged out after getting disoriented by the traffic below him; I enjoyed the placement. We switched off driving after this point, since I seemed to have more caching mojo going on (although it left when we left Kern county, apparently). Thanks!
Gimme a Break!By: OhMyStars! (Adopted by CalifScots 07/11/05) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Log was pretty wet and entirely full to boot. We tried to dry it off, but it wasn't happening for us, so I left a slip of paper in the cache with our names on it. That paper is probably mush by now after sitting in the damp cache with the damp log. Thanks.
Let's Get TankedBy: Frodo and Sam Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Made a detour off 99 to grab a Madera county cache on our way home. I liked the area, its too bad the landmark is no longer serviceable. Thanks for the cache!
Ridge Route - Power Benchmarking IIBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were having a lot of fun traveling up the Old Ridge Road. Unlike my last visit here, which was on a weekend and coincided with an accident on Northbound I5, the road was truly deserted for the first part of our visit to the first part of the caches (around 3pm) as soon as we passed the school driveway. Thanks!
Tank ViewBy: f0t0m0m Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Neat little area with old road (or something) at the cache site. WalruZ and I were wondering what a water tank was doing there, as it doesn't seem that many houses are down below. Thanks to ShowStop for that additional info in his log! Thanks also for the cache.
DR NO 3/11By: f0t0m0m Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I figured out the title as I drove up, but I'm not sure that WalruZ saw it since he bolted out of the car for the find before I could mention anything. Thanks for the nice big cache!
Poor Man's WindmillBy: cat-city-cachers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
On my way through the desert with Geo Baby and Walruz. This was our lunch stop, and wouldn't you know there were caches nearby that we could get. I was pointing into the fenced area for a bit, which had me worried, but then the arrows turned and I was all about the cache. Funny one, Thanks!
Ridge Route - Booty Hill BenchmarkBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
There were still no other cars to contend with on the road, which had me growing more surprised by the minute. WalruZ found this one easily, thanks!
Corn Springs TB HotelBy: Joshua Tree Bonnie & Clyde Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Large
Jumped out of the car and looked around, not much in the way of hiding material, is there? No TBs in the cache at all, but we didn't have any with us that we hadn't picked up yet, so we couldn't really drop 'em either. This anti-theft device looks to be almost as good as the one for the Tower (which we hit previously). Interesting trailhead nearby. Someday we may have the right equipment to explore there as well, but not today -- strictly a low-clearance vehicle trip this year. Thanks!
Photo OpBy: Joshua Tree Bonnie & Clyde Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I went for a walk and had a lot of fun! I've got photos to prove it! WalruZ was the lucky one today -- thanks for the cache!
Ridge Route - Queen Nell's CastleBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
I had been by in November on my way up I5 from There to Here, and found a smattering of the Ridge Route cache series, but without a navigational companion it was hard to anticipate and drive and spot appropriate parking and... Well, you know how it goes. Today WalruZ and Geo Baby were offering their operational support and so we stopped by a few more, also on the way up I5 from There to Here. Okay, well we stopped for more than a few more since WalruZ started to really enjoy the views and experience. Thanks!
Ridge Route - Banked CurveBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
WalruZ really enjoyed this cache, with a nice huge chunk of the old road open for inspection. I think that this was one of the only places that we had the honor of actually driving on the old road surface today. Thanks!
Ridge Route - Backroad, Benchmark and BootyBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
It was my turn to find the cache, so I got to jump out and do it. It was starting to get a little breezy up here now, and the traffic was picking up a bit, but not so much that crossing the street was a problem. Nice obvious place for the cache, thanks.
Ridge Route - Geology StopBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
The ground was a bit soft around here, due to some intermittent sprinkles, but I managed to get to the cache and get it with relatively little work. I remembered passing this one up last November because of bouncy signals, but I didn't have that problem today. Thanks!
Ridge Route - Take the High RoadBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
We all piled out of the car, with Geo Baby on shoulders, to look at this gem of a cache. While I'm not sure that the suggested parking was, well, parking, it was at least wide enough in the road for the Beetle to park safely (last time I was through here, there were big rigs coming around the corners since I5 had some issues -- nothing could have parked here then). WalruZ was in 7th heaven looking at all the old road and benchmarks and stuff. We snapped a nice photo of Geo Baby and I with the cache, but it may be too much of a spoiler to post. Thanks for the cache!
SnakeskinBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Nice cache construction, I laughed as I retrieved the container from it's place. Thanks for the cache.
Ridge Route - Canyon ViewBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
That's quite a drop off, there... It was just enough for me that I had to send WalruZ in for the find while I stayed with Geo Baby safely on pavement. Thanks for the views and the series!
Head's Up 7UP "Beware of the Crazy Lady"By: cache clown and natural highness Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
No crazy lady today, but we arrive around 5:15 and the pickup truck traffic coming up the mountain seemed to get a little heavier while we were here. Enjoyed the cache container construction. Thanks!
Paradise SouthBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I arrived at this point around 5:30, and a bunch of pickup trucks were coming up the mountain in a pretty steady stream. This was really the only traffic on the ridge area roads we'd seen all afternoon. Guess it was quittin' time down below or something... This one was a bit of a challenge to find, and then we were on our way back to I5. Thanks.
mountain viewBy: roadrunner5 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
I spotted a huge parking turnout and thought that was where we were headed, but I was about a quarter mile off. I guess we were coming at this from the unintended direction, but we managed to park anyway and find the cache. Quite the busy roadway at quittin' time. Thanks.
Dead mans curveBy: UNCLEJON91 (JONEDI) Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
It was time for a bathroom break, and a change in drivers, as we'd been on the Interstates since Palm Springs, so this was the stop. Thanks for marking it with a cache!
Mikey Likes It!By: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We found ourselves having a little roadtrip break in the area, as we had been driving from Blythe and were scheduled to stop for the night in Gorman with at least 3 hours of daylight left. Geo Baby had been getting a little restless while strapped into her seat, no matter how much Elmo was playing in the back of the car, so we took an ice cream break with Mikey. Found the nice-n-easy cache on our way in, right where the arrow pointed us, and enjoyed a much needed pit stop. Thanks.
Crude TransportBy: Yosemite John and Debbie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
After a nice break with Mikey, we spent some time ostensibly on our way to a playground so that Geo Baby could run around a bit. But, as we started pulling away after finding this cache, it started raining. Well, being on a playground in the rain isn't much fun (well, not for Mom and Dad), so we turned around and headed in the direction of the sun - which happened to be in the general direction of where we were traveling anyway. Quick find, thanks!
The LOST CacheBy: TrucknChuck & Co. Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
We were already off the Interstate because of the big dinos, so we headed over to see about this cache too. What a cool old piece of pavement -- although it seems that lots of folks know about the main road running by it! Thanks.

The I-5 / Templin Hwy Travel Bug HotelBy: mmcret (adopted by Yosemite John and Debbie) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Since Walruz, Geo Baby and I were doing a road trip vacation, complete with moving lots of bugs between Arizona and the SF Bay Area, you would think that we'd be all over a TB hotel like this. The ammo can was full of nice TBs, but neither of us had caught up on our logging and it happened that all the TBs we had in our possession had not yet been picked up online from the more southeasterly caches, and therefore couldn't be dropped cleanly (I'm a big fan of clean drops -- physical drops without having the TB in online possession are how most of them get lost and their mileage messed up). So, since we could not honor the "swap TBs" rule that was screaming at us from the inside of the can, we just TNLNSL. Oh well, those bugs will just lose out on that activity and mileage I guess... We'll keep this in mind for our next trip that brings us through Los Angeles county. Thanks for the cache.
I-10 Power CacheBy: Team Woodlmt Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were stopped at this Interstate exit for lunch, and just couldn't help but do some of the nearby caches. I was worried that there were people working nearby, but aside from an intermittent hammering I really couldn't tell much about the situation over the freeway noise! Thanks for the quick cache.
Basement of the AlamoBy: Dru Morgan Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were zooming by on the Interstate and decided at the last minute to pull off, without knowing whether there was a cache here or not. That's just how cool the location is -- worthy of a look-see whether or not a smiley is involved. Thanks for giving us a smiley too!

Standing in the LimelightBy: Outback Annie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Walruz, Geo Baby and I were on a dinner stop and decided to grab a few caches for some local flavor. I wandered around with the widget in hand, but there was really only one place to check, so I did. Ended up taking the cache for a little 10 minute drive, since the place got a little too busy to hang around for the return. guess the guys across the street quit work about that time... Thanks for the smiley!
Bones & BugsBy: PastorPaul Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
This cache was our last stop of the day, just after sundown. I wish that we had made better time going across AZ, as I think I would have enjoyed spending a little more time (in daylight) in the area. We saw a lot of law enforcement cruising the area, so we didn't stay long. Thanks for the cache!

WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were on our way out of town after a visit with Geo Baby's grandparents. WalruZ made quick work of finding this cache, as I was still nursing my poked eye in the passenger seat and Geo Baby was out cold in the back. Thanks!
Freedom FightersBy: Outback Annie and Chimu Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
This was a very cool stop, for everyone involved. Geo Baby got to get out of her carseat and help, WalruZ was busy snapping photos with the camera, and I was able to do the smiley-thing! Thanks!
Good Water.....No GrassBy: Outback Annie and Chimu Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
There was a little confusion as to where we should really be, as it was dinner time and the place next door was truly hoppin' -- it seemed that people were walking for miles (and over the freeway) to get to the waterin' hole there. Anyhow, Walruz managed to do the honors without getting the good folks of Quartzsite too suspicious. Looks like an interesting spot to browse when it is open to visitors. Thanks.
Hi JollyBy: Azcachemeister Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Virtual
Very cool site. We stopped in Quartzsite for dinner on our way from Phoenix to our temporary digs in Blythe. WalruZ has all the answers (and doesn't he know it) and when he gets around to dealing with his trip logs, he'll send answers for myself, Geo Baby and him. Until then, this will be a note as a placemarker. Thanks for the cache!
Siamese Cactus League SportsBy: IFISHAZ & DPO Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
We were in somewhat of a low clearance vehicle, so it was sort of nerve-wracking to drive to the closest spot for the cache, but I was glad we were in a vehicle as it appeared that others were parked at various places on the way. Thanks.
The HogbackBy: Mrmomtwins Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small
Reading the previous logs is what did it for us. WalruZ and I were on an all day expedition in South Mountain on a fine Wednesday, and after losing and then gaining the elevation, maybe we were just a bit off our mark. Not sure how a Starbucks card fits in one of these... Replaced as found.
Missy's ViewBy: missyrou Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Micro
I'm very thankful that I didn't have to climb down, and WalruZ did the sensible thing and didn't do much climbing either. This was one of the best views of the whole hike, save that vertigo feeling... Thanks for the cache.
Hello Missy KittyBy: missyrou Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
Wow, this one took a bit of hunting with lots of things that could be overturned to look for a tin, but just as WalruZ and I were about to give up, he checked one last (and very clever) place for Kitty. Thanks.
Scout Cache - BSA Cub Scout Pack 478 of AhwatukeeBy: Sabbit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular
We got some funny looks by the folks walking by on the wash, but found the cache in short order after reading that the coords were only a guideline. Not really my idea of geocaching to have coords leading you somewhere other than the cache, but hey, it's your cache and if you want to have bad coords listed that's your thing. We were at this cache later in the afternoon after doing an all day hike, and there were sure a lot of people on the fire road trail! Thanks for the cache.
Barbershop QuartetBy: BloominFun! Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small
WalruZ and I had begun our hike at the 48th street parking area in the morning, and this ended up being our "turn around" cache of the hike at around 2:30 pm. At the cache site I told WalruZ that it was just about time to stick a fork in me, because after hiking that southern ridge trail all day I was just about done with any more uphill. Motivation was all about getting back to the car before sundown at that point. Luckily, it was mostly all downhill from here the way we ended up going. I was so done that I couldn't even put the title and hint together to figure out the actual cache location. That was all WalruZ (who really was ready for the fork too!). Thanks for the cache.

The last hunt of an all-day hike with WalruZ, and maybe because we were really burnt after the day we couldn't figure out how to get there without passing the closed area signs. Good thing the fire road was nearby too. Thanks for the cache.

WalruZ and I were a bit dismayed to be losing so much elevation on our ridge hike, and the foot traffic here seemed to increase a bit, but we were able to see and hear the call of a very nice quail here. Almost lost my favorite caching pen, but managed to find it on the way back to the trail. Thanks!

WalruZ and I were headed back to the car at the 48th Ave/Pima Canyon parking area and, truth be told, I was a little worried about actually making it down the waterfall areas to get back to the car in one piece. Of course, there's always time to stop for a cache on the way, though... Thanks!

WalruZ and I left Geo Baby with her grandparents and started off on an all-day hike in South Mountain Park. What a great day and great weather for it! This was the first cache we hit along the trails, but the second of the day. I was surprised to see only a few names on the logsheet, and WalruZ was surprised to see petroglyphs so close to civilization! Thanks for the cache.
Cactus Point South MountainBy: Alrpal Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular
WalruZ and I were out for an all-day hike in South Mountain park while the grandparents spent the day with Geo Baby. We had hiked this direction via the southern ridge and felt a bit of trepidation to be losing more elevation after having just earned it back after "Not my MO3". But, this was a great hide and I enjoyed sitting at the site with the big cache before venturing back up to the ridge trail. Thanks for the cache.
Scout it OutBy: Fiestagirls Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular
WalruZ and I left Geo Baby to play with her grandparents on a fine Wednesday in Phoenix, and came to South Mountain to explore. We stopped for lunch just before attempting to find the best route to this cache, and were entertained by a cute little chipmunk (a.k.a. rattlesnake food). WalruZ took the high road and I took the low road and somehow I managed to find the cache site first. It looks tailor made for a snake summer condo, complete with little snaky-size coil indentations, so luckily we were here in February! Swapped a travelling geocoin for a TB. Thanks!
Lost ChildhoodBy: TV-Dude Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular
What a pull it was up to this very nice spot! Not too far from parking, though, so I felt good about leaving some TBs that hitched a ride from California with us. WalruZ and I hiked around South Mountain Park all day, and this was a great ridge to start us off with great views. Did a 2 TB swap, thanks for the cache.

Diablo Point CacheBy: Flipper and Mikeytwoshoes Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Not chosen
WalruZ and I were out on an all-day exploration of South Mountain Park while Geo Baby enjoyed a day with her grandparents. We started in the morning from 48th Street parking and took the southern ridge trail to a cache just beyond this point before turning around. This was one of WalruZ's must-do caches, since it was historic (old) and stuff. The way our hike progressed, it was also one of the last that we were going to do for the day (except the opportunistic finds on the way back to the car), so our bodies and minds were somewhat weakened. As I got to the hide site, I was pretty sure where it was going to be, but the anti-snake force is strong in me, and I am so well-trained in where not to jump that I hesitated searching the spot that the cache was in. Finally, I psyched myself up by chanting "it's February; it's Februrary" over and over again, and jumped in. Thanks for the cache and the test of mental fortitude!

We were staying with relatives nearby and decided to have a go at this cache, finding the parking coords incredibly helpful. We aren't all that accustomed to the "Arizona style" but found this after a short search. That is one well-hidden micro and a nice view of the flatlands to the south! Thanks.
PECOS OVERLOOKBy: spik3y Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Wow! That's one big cache! If it was a snake it would have bitten me -- so glad that it wasn't (and that it's February and too cold for the critters). I hear they're going to make this road a freeway someday. That should reduce the property values at the nearby developments... WalruZ dropped a TB here, I think.

OH O'Brien's StashBy: cybercacti Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
This was our first Arizona cache. We made it this far into the state without stopping because Geo Baby was in the backseat having a power nap and we really didn't want to disturb her by stopping the car. She woke up just before arriving to this area, and as soon as she woke up she was feeling a bit peckish since it was sorta close to lunchtime, so this cache seemed like a good fit. Thanks.

WalruZ, Geo Baby and I are on a long road trip from the SF Bay area to Phoenix for the holidays, and we decided to swing up this way and catch a few Inyo county caches since we were 'passing by'. I took a walk around and decided that Geo Baby was better off not playing in the remants of the vacancy and I was a little uncomfortable going where my arrow was pointing. I tagged out to Walruz after determining that the light on and chopped wood didn't mean a person was around, and he went and examined places I was too shy to check. Thanks for the cache.

We're on a multi-day roadtrip from the SF Bay area to Phoenix and Geo Baby, our 2 year old, had just awakened from her "nap" in the carseat. We pulled off the Interstate to check the area for a place she could run around and/or load another DVD when I spotted this patch of green on the GPSr with a cache very nearby. We decided to drive by and check it out and, if a playground was there and it looked friendly, to let Geo Baby enjoy some part of the day in a non-passive way. Little did we know that this is a great playground and the kids and parents that we met there were very nice. This stop was the highlight of Geo Baby's day. After an hour or so we were back in the car and truckin' out to Blythe... Thanks for the cache!

Too much junk around to let the 2 year old out of the car, but an interesting location for the cache. It took me a couple passes around before I could spot the tell-tale sign of a cache. I wondered just what the structure was there for, as the sign so definitely isn't for the immediate area. Thanks for the cache.

Peas in a PodBy: S and B C Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Another 2nd gear sprint to the cache from the last. WalruZ seemed to be having a lot of issues with his device, switching it from road routing to cachenav, so at this point we switched places and I took the jumper seat while he drove. Thanks for the cache.
We Can't Thank You Enough!By: S and B C Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I was finally getting in the groove of jumper and had this one sussed out pretty quickly. I was starting to notice that the sun was falling a little lower than I might have liked, so I tried to step up the cache spotting a bit after this one. Thanks for the cache and the series.
Don't Get StuckBy: S and B C Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other
Wow, that was pretty big for a cache to get stuck on! Thanks for the cache and the series.
Sand Draw CrossingBy: S and B C Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
As I walked up, I really became aware of the sun going down and started to rush a bit. Of course, that just slowed me down in the finding department. I had some preconceived notion of what I was going to find and where, and it was just dead wrong. Luckily I readjusted pretty quickly and didn't burn too much daylight with my first intuition! Thanks.
See Me NotBy: S and B C Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Wouldn't you know the last cache of the series would have me flummoxed long enough to bring the marine mammal out to help. Daylight was awanin' and I had circled the area a few times. I think I was looking for something far more "blendy-in-ish" than what I eventually spotted and that's what had me pondering the ground for so long and so un-fruitfully. Thanks for the series -- it was a fun way to slow down the trip!
I'm a Parasite!By: tntc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
WalruZ did the honors of retrieval on this one, as I was still doing the driving honors and it took me a while to get out of the vehicle in a way such that Elmo's World could still be viewed. Thanks for the cache.
ThumperBy: tntc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other
Cute! I just had to show Geo Baby and WalruZ this cache, lest they think all desert hides were the same. Thanks for the cache.
The Best Thing About FruitcakeBy: tntc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Mmmm, fruitcake is mostly edible, right? I, for one, was starting to get a little hungry for dinner... Well, I guess today the best thing was the size. I swear I looked in ten different spots trying to get this one. Saw the Superbowl TB in there but left it for someone else to move on. Thanks for the cache.
SandyBy: tntc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Yep, it was sandy out there alright. I circled a few likely locations before spotting this cache. Thanks.
Quick and Easy #3By: EEYORE_79 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I don't think I've ever quite seen retail access done this way before. Odd urban planning... WalruZ did the honors, and if we'd had more time and a CITO bag, we could have used them both! Thanks for the cache.
Mamaloo's Mammoth Run - PearsonvilleBy: mamaloo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
This was a good place to get our roadtrip snacks at lunchtime! thanks for the cache.
Expresso CacheBy: mtngirls Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
The family is on a multi-day road trip from the SF Bay Area to Phoenix, and stopped here after Geo Baby's naptime to get some caching and playing in. The log was moldy and wet, and totally un-signable -- but you know that since lots of previous logs say that. We contributed a random business card with our names on it as a replacement log in the ziploc and left the old log in the cache outside the ziploc (since it's way past saving anyway). Hopefully you'll be able to attend to this cache soon, because the business card isn't going to last long as a log...
"Welcome to Hotel California" Bug HotelBy: geoPugs Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were staying the night in Mojave during a long road trip and decided to cache a bit on our way out of town in the morning. The autorouter in our car couldn't decide where exactly we should turn, so over we pulled and off to get the cache. WalruZ did the honors here. Thanks for the stop.
Space Ship OneBy: Badtz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
We were staying nearby on a roadtrip stop, and this was our first cache stop on our way out of town in the morning. We drove around to the back of the motel(?) and found ourselves in the "back parking". Turns out that the back parking area was also the parking area for a freight train whose driver needed a little pitstop. That was fine with me, as I got views of winged and wheeled transportation while searching for the cache. There were no travel bugs in this cache this morning, but I did add one in that would like to go to Mammoth Lakes (when the freeway gets passable, I suppose). thanks for the cache.
Kevin's Great BeginningBy: TJLolo, Kevin, and Team Tree HugR Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We had not planned to hit this series, but while I was taking a turn at the wheel Walruz saw these caches on our way and said that those were what he'd want to do (assuming we got there before dark). So, with Geo Baby firmly entranced with another DVD of Elmo's World, off we went to see if our low clearance vehicle could manage these before dark. This was our first stop off the Interstate, and I seemed to just walk up to it and see it, much to WalruZ' chagrin. Thanks!
Steel GhostsBy: TEAM Nohoch Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual
A great little stop on our way from the San Francisco area to Phoenix. Geo Baby was especially happy to get out of the car and examine the area. Email has been sent, thanks.
Breaking it inBy: TK7464 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Whomever designed this retail area forgot that two huge "rest stop" complexes with full services and any fast food franchise you would want on I5 just 10 short miles away either direction. They've designated just about as much land to big truckers as you can here... We still really needed our GPSPr to give us direction even after exiting the highway. Funny that. Thanks for the cache.
High VelocityBy: 3XTroutMan Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
I had all but given up on this cache, as there was plenty of things to look at and turn over in the area, but WalruZ wasn't giving in so soon. He ended up finding the cache some ways away from where my GPSr was pointing but I guess his was pointing there... It is always interesting to cache out of one's area -- the hide styles and ratings are always so different. Regional interpretation, I guess... Thanks for the cache.
Time for a Stretch?By: Salmon Falls Widow Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Today this was our first stop on our long journey to Arizona, and although we weren't that far from home, this was a welcome time for a stretch. Thanks for placing the cache.
CovantaBy: MightyDee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were toodling on down the road when suddenly this nice convenient cache pops up on the widget. I had a laugh when I went to grab the cache. Nice cammo? Thanks for the stop.
In n Out Urge IIIBy: sloigo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I were on a road trip today to Grandpa's house. We figure its gonna take us a full 2 days. We weren't quite up for the Urge here, but I got to take a bit of a stroll after a much-needed pit stop. Thanks for the cache.
GBttS # 300 "CACTI"By: Nana Nani & Annie Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We took a wrong exit, but ended up better off for it anyway. After we started rolling again, WalruZ did the honors so that we could keep things moving after starting up a new DVD in the backseat... Thanks for the stop.
End of the RoadBy: General Grant & The Mad Dog Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Enjoyed the swing 'round to this cache on our way down I5 for a vacation. I was surprised to see the folks camping out in their RVs here. Some of them look like they stay for a while... Swapped TBs, thanks for the cache.

Well the Valero was all lit up and stuff, kinda, by the sun, anyway. Thanks for the stop on our I5 journey today!
"Fast Food I"By: TeamTek Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
WalruZ did the honors after we enjoyed lunch at the nearby establishment. Geo Baby particularly enjoyed the break from her carseat. Thanks for placing the cache.
Wonder of it allBy: Bay Area Bigfoot Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
I finished my work for the day early, and so I jumped on MUNI and headed over on my way to the BART station. I followed my arrow into a great little "Learning Garden" and proceeded to search the general area as close to GZ as I could get. I was happy that I had the area to myself to search. After about 15 minutes, a security guard came by to check me out and ask me if I worked there and what I was doing. Since I don't think I could be observed directly, he must have spotted me on a security camera. Anyhow, I told him I was geocaching, to which I got a strange look, which I then followed up with "it's a sort of treasure hunt". He wasn't rude or anything, but I was asked to leave, and was informed that the Learning Garden is for employees only -- that should probably be noted in the cache page. As he left, I left the garden and decryped the hint. I then searched for a bit in the direction the hint led me. I found the micro cache while reading about 65 feet away. I would have stayed and taken better coords, but run-ins with security never makes me feel like lingering longer than I have to in an area. This cache should last longer than the one that was in the area previously, as long as security doesn't get tired of confronting cachers...
Stealth TrickBy: Malibucrew Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
I was able to leave work a little early this afternoon, and so I grabbed a MUNI bus and headed for this little cluster of caches that has popped up in a very difficult area of SF to keep a cache. Kudos to you for picking a spot that has lasted this long. I circled the area waiting for coords to settle, then spotted it. There were a few people around as it was still pleasant and sunny, but I was able to block some of the view with my backpack and go for it. Thanks for the cache.
Bamboo AlleyBy: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I've been meaning to get by here and do this cache, but I just can't seem to make it here with daylight left (and I always seem to be running late in the morning these days). Today was different; I finished my self-allotted set of work early today and I thought to myself that spending a little extra time on "I Love You" Day finding some caches would be a good mood-lifter. So, off I went to grab bus #30 instead of the building shuttle to BART... I made a couple of stops that took longer than intended, so I missed out on the hours for the TB hotel, but I was able to find this gem. Things were a bit wet inside, so I was glad that the log was write-in-rain and I had a sharpie with me! I dried it off as best I could, dumped out the water in the bottom, and replaced container upside down to help alleviate future problems. Thanks for the cache!
Biking into 2007 #3By: n2books2 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We took a trike ride (well, WalruZ and I walked) out to this cache after naptime this afternoon. We were a little nervous because as we were approaching the area, a SF Water guy in a pickup truck came zooming up to the cache site and then sat nearby for a bit. We ended up overshooting the site since he was there, and Geo Baby got a little nervous with him around since she didn't trust him not to run over her on her shiny red trike... We walked on by at the toddler pace, and after he cleared out we returned to find a very nicely hidden cache! Thanks for the great hide!
Biking into 2007 #2By: n2books2 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Great cache site! Geo Baby was eager to "find the cache" and uncovered this hide for us, although we had to coach her quite a bit to get it done. She loved the yellow easter egg bubbles, so a big thanks to whomever left that! We traded .out a money clip and were on our way. Thanks for the cache.
Fishing for NemoBy: WalruZ Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
We had just finished an exciting afternoon at The Big Chuck E. Cheesed, and WalruZ was lamenting that Nemo was in worse trouble than ever! A pair of fishermen -- whom we know to have an extremely high catch rate -- called in a severe shark warning yesterday, and we feared the worst for the little guy. On our way home we rowed on over to see if we could help Nemo out of his predicament with the shark. Having not fished for Nemo before, I got out the normal bait I happen to have in the car for these tasks and set to it. Well, I guess little Nemo wasn't in very much trouble at all, and very very hungry, because he was swimming not more than 3 inches below the surface awaiting my bait. I had a bite in less than 3 seconds, and was able to reel Nemo in. Lots of snickering and laughter ensued. My self-esteem as a fisherperson was greatly increased, as my catch rate recently has been rather low... Guess there are just those days when the fish aren't a-bitin' no matter how good yer catch rate is! With Nemo safely in the boat, we investigated the waters for that nasty shark, but those big sharp teeth weren't taking our bait.
Westwood OaksBy: Valdemar74 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Geo Baby and I were in the area for the meet and greet event, and had planned to hit a few caches before getting back home for naptime. It was cold, and late for Geo Baby's nap, but gosh darnit I'd promised her that we'd stop at a playground today and it really looked like it would be raining after nap. So, I found this cute little cache sitting on the green of my GPSr map, and off we went! Geo Baby went straight for the playground structure, so I had to do my caching with one eye elsewhere, then vaccine and mjp303 joined the party! We enjoyed the horsey, ducky, piggie and swings after finding the cache, thanks.
Meet & Greet Groundspeak & Garmin in the Bay AreaBy: Signal the Frog Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen
It looked like rain today, so Geo Baby and I stopped by in the morning to say hi and see the presentation. Unfortunately we couldn't get in the room near the crayons, so Geo Baby found some little friends to play with just outside the room, and I was able to hear a sentence or two at the doorway. Until they closed the doors, forcing me [;)] to chat with Friv while she womanned the tables. I had already experienced wherigo several times over the last year as a beta testing family, and handled Marky's Colorado a few weeks ago, so it was all good. After chatting more while the morning groups ran the demo, we went off to lunch and in search of a playground with a cache near it (that was plan 2, as it turned out that The Jungle was just too crowded to visit for lunch). Funny thing, we ran into cachers at almost every cache we visited... Geo Baby is completely sacked out now after the fun and sugar-filled morning. Now my big task is to get WalruZ motivated enough in a positive direction in order to help me implement my storyline (since he's got the Windoze machine in the family)... Thanks for coming, bringing the lackey bling, providing snack for Geo Baby, and introducing a lot of talented geocachers to wherigo!
Just around the corner... now improved!!By: Mr_BKK Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Geo Baby and I hit this one after the event (and getting McLunch) nearby. Funny thing, as we were "hiking" to the cache (Geo Baby's words), we noticed a gaggle of suspicious people congregating where the arrow was pointing. They were all looking at something in their hands, hmmm. It was nice to meet all the out-of-towners in for the event! Thanks for the cache.
