Trick or Treat!

By: Anonymous Accomplice Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

What a horde!

Little Shop of Horrors VI

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Always a pleasure to spend an afternoon at WoW's house, although this year it seems I kept losing track of Geo Baby in the house. If she's gonna go awol anyway, next time I'll have to bring some good camo for the containers I brought so I can actually work on something! TFTE!

recycle? you got it!

By: aggiejen Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Dropped by here after the event, and we must be very recognizable because people were yelling our handles out of their car windows at the stoplight. So much for stealth, eh? Had a whole lot of trouble extracting, finally had to improvise with a "tool" in the car but we replaced it so the next cacher won't have quite so much trouble. Thanks for the cache!

Little Cache of Horrors

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Hit this one after the event, on the way to dinner before doing a little TrTing in the area, so the just-replaced log had plenty o'space for the family handles. Thanks for the cache.

Isherwood Staging Area

By: geocasual Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Today, WalruZ and I learned that little girls screaming that they don't wanna go on a walk while an infant grunts his disapproval from the front pack provides excellent cover for this search. No body blinks twice when you stop at this particular spot to deal with that, and no one wants to get in the middle of the ruckus by asking what Dad is doing poking around particular objects during all the chaos, either... TFTC (fwiw, it did quiet down, mostly, once we got underway).

Levee Bicycling - Arizona Street Bridge

By: csolsen Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I've never been on this part of the AC trail until today. Thanks for showing it to me. This was our turnaround point, and none too soon since Geo Baby was in full "my feet hurt and I'm tired" mode by then. Truth be told, my feet hurt and I was tired, too. lil'brother was still asleep, though, which is always a good thing on a walk. Thanks.

Levee Bicycling - Hilton Tree Fort

By: csolsen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Spotted this one quickly, as it seemed to have no cover material around it, and called over the others to retrieve. We rehid it just a little, um, less obvious... thanks.

Levee Bicycling - Stumped

By: csolsen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Turned out to be an easy walk-up for me, and I tried to get Geo Baby to do the dirty work since I had the frontpack loaded and sleeping. She almost did it, but Daddy stepped in when she balked. Enjoyed the cache construction, thanks!

Levee Run - Open Space

By: csolsen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

After a rough (well, noisy) start to our walk (the littlest members of the WalruZ-BuckyD clan weren't really on board with a post-breakfast walk, as it turns out), this cache was a welcome first stop -- Geo Baby is learning all about trees and autumn in preschool these days, and she thought the container was really interesting. Thanks.

Levee Run - Dogs Barking

By: csolsen Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Not sure what all the stuff in the description was, but it was all quiet on the way out and we didn't get to hear that obnoxious dog bark constantly until our return trip in the early afternoon. The dog must sleep in or something...

Levee Run - Decoto

By: csolsen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Enjoyed trading some toys here. Thanks.

13,000 Vehicles Daily

By: virtualdavid Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was out for a Friday stroll with lil'brother, and although we weren't too successful caching it was a great neighborhood for the under-1 set and we felt quite comfortable ambling around. It seemed like THE thing to do around here on a weekday midday. This was one of the few caches that went right for us on our walk, although the log was completely soaked (ziploc was pretty ragged). I rifled through the diaper bag and found a replacement ziploc and an envelope that we could use for rudimentary logsheet paper. I meant to dry out the original logsheet on the stroller sunshield and return it at the end of our walk, but that didn't work out all that well (it was too stiff to fold back into the container, and moldy to boot). Thanks for the cache.

Alice Locke Park

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Took a fun stroller walk around this nice neighborhood today. This was one of the few straightforward coords-are-where-the-cache-is hides in the area, so it was a nice enjoyable find. Thanks!

A Pint in the Shade

By: frostyspeed Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Mounted an epoch search, as well as several other types, and didn't come up with the cache. Used to be a cache right across the street that constantly went missing. May be time for an owner check on this one -- hasn't been found for a few months and this is a notorious area for caches disappearing.

Washington Perch

By: frostyspeed Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Quick find, thanks.

"16"

By: frostyspeed Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Quick find, thanks for the cache and the nice walk around downtown.

P4nD4's Second Home

By: P4nD0r4 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

We hit the title location for a little lunch on our way north, and then headed a few blocks away to this cache. That was kinda weird. Signed as Walruz family on the overly-full logsheet -- those sure are a pain to maintain...

NanoFeral #1

By: FeralWriter Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

Thought about making this one harder than it was, but I was wearing the baby in a frontpack, so I looked in the easy spots instead. Thanks for the cache.

Morning Run #2 - Levee Oasis

By: Kenny162 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

took a morning walk with lil'brother. thanks for the cache!

Morning Run #1 - Creek Trolley

By: Kenny162 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Not sure how you get to here from WalMart, if I'm thinking of the correct one for your starting place! Fences, fences everywhere... Lil'brother and I started from the Sycamore access point to do a little frontpack walk this morning, and this was the turn-around point.

Skin Deep

By: streetwalker1 and Deathbysnoosnoo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

All quiet around here on a Wednesday midmorning. Probably because the construction folk were all hanging out at the other nearby cache... Neat to see a couple trains pass by so close. Thanks.

TiView

By: Oaknest Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Stopped here to launch a midmorning walk with lil'brother, complete with downing a bottle and arranging the baby wrap in full view of the windows. TiVO appears to be decidedly friendlier about cars entering their parking lot than some other nearby tech companies... Thanks for marking the spot.

Why did the Cacher Cross the River?

By: alpharomero.com Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

I've been around this area caching before, but I've always had a little cacher in tow, so wasn't comfortable mounting a search where the arrow was pointing. This morning I was trying out lil'brother in a Moby wrap, which felt a little more snug than the old frontpack and was better-suited for this sort of terrain than the stroller that I had last time around (a year or so ago with Geo Baby). The Moby also quiets him down, since he's been in that crying for no consolable reason stage lately. As I got to the area, I wasn't sure I was going to go through with it this time, either, but I found the long way around and gave it a shot. The terrain with 12 pounds lashed to my abdomen was still challenging, and I probably could have chosen better footwear for today. Got to see a skunk caught(?) in a trap on the way there and back, and lots of pickup trucks driving down the levee (at least 4 during the time I was in the area). The mowed area made for a pretty quick find, but the cache container doesn't close correctly anymore and probably won't last through the next rainy season, should we have one this year. thanks!

Sandwich

By: xmts Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Availed myself of the Monroe staging area to get a nice long stroller walk in with lil'brother. This was our second stop of the morning, and a quick find. Dropped a trackable. Thanks for the caches!

Heart of Palm

By: xmts Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

We got this on the return trip to the car, since the trail was inexplicably busy on the way out. Thanks!

Lonely Bench

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The start of a nice late-morning walk for lil'brother and I. I'm not looking forward to returning to work next week...

Coffee Anyone #2

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Grabbed some lunch and beverage refreshment after a nice walk along the San Tomas Aquino trail with lil'brother. Thanks for marking the spot!

Taz's Teaser

By: redkat Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

It's always annoying to find one of these, and then find that the owner isn't maintaining it -- the logs fill up and get ratty really easily. Thanks to xmts for the maintenance! This was the turn around point for lil'brother and I.

Cheechoo Cache

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

On the way out, lil'brother and I stopped here for a quick bottle, but I couldn't come up with the cache. The ivy here is particularly nasty and there were lots of places this could be, but I was sure that thefogheads wouldn't do THAT to poor cachers. I ran out of brain power, so I ended up getting this on the return stroll with lil'brother. It was an easy find on the return, since using my brain wasn't really the part of my body that was required, and I had put that away at mile 3! Thanks for the cache.

Been Here: Walsh

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Almost gave up on this one, and then I felt it. Took some hand contortions to retrieve, but persevere I did. Glad that I was carrying plenty of baby wipes for the wet dirt...

Captains of Industry: Cabot Tree Cache

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Other

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our sixth stop. I wasn't sure we were going to pull this one off within the allotted time (our timers being the small children's patience levels), but just as we were going to leave it for another, less-encumbered day, WalruZ spotted it. Not as evilly-cammod as I had imagined it to be.

Captains of Industry: McCone Tree NUTS!

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our seventh stop. WalruZ had his mojo going today, even with my less-than-stellar GPSr to rely upon here.

Captains of Industry: Point Eden Trailhead

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our third stop and the second drive-by performed by the security truck. Lil'brother needed some attention, so WalruZ had to do the honors for this one.

Captains of Industry: Eden Plaza

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our fourth stop, and probably one of the most crowded in the area -- despite everything in the area being closed on Sunday, a couple was making out in the parking lot and another guy was taking a nap in his car. I went right to the hiding place, but wasn't thorough enough, so after wandering around staring at the arrow (which isn't all that reliable on my GPSr), I ended up back where I started to make the find.

Captains of Industry: 92 Rockwall View

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our fifth stop. The mattress around back put me off a bit, so I pulled out the description and found that I shouldn't necessarily be back there.

Captains of Industry: Arden Salt Pond (Dry:summer)

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our first stop, and a straightforward find in a logical spot.

Got Salt?

By: Geo Fan Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in this unintimidating area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our second stop. We were very happy to see this area -- new to us -- and it appears that there is good access here on the gravel trails. I don't know where the access is to, but that's part of the fun. Too bad lil'brother is still too small to go in the bike trailer... This was the first place that a security truck did a drive-by on us, but we couldn't have looked too suspicious with the whole family in tow.

Office Despot

By: Baron88 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in the nearby, unintimidating industrial area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our eighth stop after cruising the industrial caches nearby. LeChuck had a bit more of a challenge navigating this intersection to get us where we needed to be, but after a few extra right turns we managed to make it. After using the hint, I managed to spot the cache.

Hayward Parks #4: "Hey Tommy!"

By: brianweeks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in the unintimidating Hayward industrial area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our last stop of the day before an early dinner at Celia's nearby. I was hoping for a bit more of a park, but you take what you can get, I guess. Nice gazebo nearby.

Star Spangled Banner

By: Runcycle Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The entire WalruZ family was out in the minivan today giving LeChuck some driving practice in the unintimidating Hayward industrial area. The caches gave us somewhere to drive to, thanks. This was our ninth stop of the day, after cruising the Captains of Industry series. I've always wanted to check out the Chabot Campus, so thanks for bringing us here!

By: cachbefound Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I had trouble zeroing down on the GPSr, but WalruZ' high sensitivity receiver helped him out...

Exit Here? Hmmmm

By: dclendenin Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Lots of places to explore, all of them spiderwebby, but I finally laid my hands on it. Thanks!
