Public ShoreBy: Atomsoup Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Figured we'd come by again and enjoy the area, since we were toodling on by anyway. Thanks.
"Right Wrongs Nobody"By: Atomsoup Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
We were out on a Mother's Day numbers run (because I got to choose and the kids could just go stuff it as far as I was concerned). We ended up all the way out here, and WalruZ (since he had time to run his query this morning) had this in his GPSr. What the hey -- the baby needed a bottle anyway, so we hung out and calculated for a while, looking for where the problem in the multi's math could be. I really liked the hide location, and lil'brother loved walking in the breeze (we were between rains) after downing his lunch. Thanks!
James LickBy: bullit Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
We came from the Guadelupe river trail side, noting that there is a gate to allow access between the residential area and the recreational trail. I finally figured out how to project a waypoint with my not-new GPS, and found the cache quickly after that. Enjoyed the area, despite the chain link fences, and stayed to sample the playground for a while.
John in BronzeBy: Trail Reader Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
We had to revisit the area to grab the second stage later in the day, after the place opened, so that all those people weren't hanging around the neighborhood doing nothing while waiting for it to open. Thanks.
John Was a Salinas High "Cowboy"By: Trail Reader Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Yeah, I was on that strange jalopy ride through Salinas in the rain with WalruZ. thanks for the cache.
La Mission San Carlos Borromeo del Rio CarmeloBy: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I accompanied WalruZ on his recon mission (pun intended) and we noted a painfully missing sign for stage 1. Hmmm. Nice walk in the preserve, though. Dropped a traveler. TFTC.
A Senior MomentBy: N2Books2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We had a nice time walking around the area getting the answers. No one around on a Sunday late morning. Thanks for the cache.
Been Here: East JavaBy: 50sumtin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro
We've now Been Here too, in homage to 50sumtin. It was a great day for a stroll on the levees, and the weather was just right. Stroll on, Bud, stroll on...
Childhood Playground 1 & 2By: roanq Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
We had a lot of trouble with stage 1, and WalruZ ended up locating it after about 40 minutes of searching and trying not to look too suspicious (well, I was, WalruZ doesn't worry his pretty head about other people). At stage 2, we were pointing directly up into the nasty poison oak area and even bashed around in there a bit before I looked in the opposite direction as the arrow and very quickly spotted the cache. I think we were about 40 feet off zero at both stages... Nice to have some new caches in the area this summer, thanks!

I had never noticed the mural before, thanks for showing it to us.
Historic Palo Alto 2By: Rain734 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen
WalruZ, Geo Baby and I have been chipping at the stages of this one for a couple years now, and today we finally achieved signing the bonus cache's logbook. We loved the bold placement! Exchanged a M & Ms man for a lion stamp to keep Geo Baby occupied for a bit. Thanks.
J.J.By: Cachegeezer Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
At first there was just two of us that piled out of the minivan to visit stage 1 and the pair of cachers already workin' the area, then two more minicachers piled out to examine, then the driver and the miniest cacher came out. After some time scouring the area (good thing people around here were probably used to seeing this sight after the last few days), I came up with the coordinates (not very easy to determine that was what they were at first). All the minicachers with us appreciated looking at the swag in the regular sized cache. Nice to meet the covina cachers and talk minivan with them. Thanks!
Migratory History 2By: ErSamin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other
We were debating whether to start this multi before arriving at the pre-event, when we joined forces with a few other cachers and made our way to the final. More cachers were attracted over by our little group, and one of the newcomers made the find. It is amazing how long it takes a little clutch of 15 cachers to come up with a little microcache! Thanks.
Baylands TeamworkBy: bytemobile Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular
We met chasam and co. here looking for stage 1, and were searching where they zeroed out, which was roughly the area I found stage 1 in in 2006. I see now, reading through the November logs and checking with the coords in WalruZ's gps that he hand-entered from chasam's printout, that we were using the old coords to search. That explains it... I should have been more thorough when checking the info on my Treo -- sorry chasam!
La Barranca ParkBy: 50sumtin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
We started this cache in the morning with the first stage, but then were distracted by playgrounds, birdies, duckies, carp, painters, modern sculpture playgrounds, bike ramps, surfers, old boats, AIDSwalk participants, fraternity brothers, doggies, and {whew} finally caught up to the 4th stage in the early afternoon and did the rest backwards. Lots of fun, thanks!
The Legends of MilpitasBy: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
The container needs some attention, or at least a dried-out logbook in a ziploc.
The Legends of MilpitasBy: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Nice sculpture. Signed with permanent pen under the names of jholly and sjkel. Good luck getting the pages of the logbook to separate, though, it's thoroughly soaked and took some doing (and a few rips) to find the last page on which to sign... Didn't want to leave a TB or coin, given the moisture issues.
Battles of the ArachnoidsBy: adeshais Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
I've had the final location for this one for quite some time, after having "cleared out" the areas at each stage over the last year or so. Today, I found myself driving by on this brisk but dry Saturday morning and thought "hey, this would be an excellent time to do this final!". So I did. Thanks for the cache!
Tickled Pink!By: Timm and Rick Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I managed to work this in during my (all-morning) commute into work today. Nothing like having a half day left of vacation hours to ease one back into the routine. The area that the final was hidden was well worth the visit. Thanks for the cache!
Cross Over to AckermanBy: GeoMoosers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Nice little cottages they've got around here, eh? I made short work of stage 1, then it was off to stage 2 which Walruz made the grab on. Thanks for the cache.
