SISA #4 - Red, (white), and blueBy: kobidge Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Too many people hanging out in their vehicles to mount an adequate search today. Visiting on a weekend would be a better idea, even though we're nearby on Tuesdays for Geo Baby's swim lessons...

A Little EvilBy: frostyspeed Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
We might have dropped the ball on this one, so to speak. We went and did No Agua Por Favor, since the hint indicated that cache would inform this one, but the only thing that did was indicate that we could still make the find on this one, however that knowledge didn't make any difference when we returned.
A Pint in the ShadeBy: frostyspeed Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Mounted an epoch search, as well as several other types, and didn't come up with the cache. Used to be a cache right across the street that constantly went missing. May be time for an owner check on this one -- hasn't been found for a few months and this is a notorious area for caches disappearing.

Sandalwood ParkBy: Wood_Rat Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Hadn't noticed that the cache coords had changed since my last visit here, so I was obviously way off in my search. Here I thought it was just the trees messing with signal... Geo Baby enjoyed visiting the playground, though.
Alameda Creek Stables - ShrubberyBy: Geo Fan Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
On the way out, we spent a bit of time until a bunch of runners chose this as their hang out point. I suggested moving on at that point. So we tried again on the way back, with no muggle interruption, and still couldn't spot it. Luckily it is a lot closer to the trailhead than the other caches we went for today, and we can return easily...
Sandalwood ParkBy: Wood_Rat Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Last stop of the day with Geo Baby sampling playgrounds. Neither of us was sure that the description of the container and/or hint still applied, but we gave it a try. We looked high and low and didn't manage to find anything but a bunch of trash at the new coords.
Highway Sixty-eightBy: roanq Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Second visit. We see that they've put the gates up for the nearby community, as well as lots of discouraging signs if you're coming from the non-highway direction since our last visit. Bummer.
GOODWILL HUNTINGBy: simply lost Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Bit of trouble finding the 'trail' from the car, as the GPSr was reading into a gated community from the Goodwill station. I was mostly scoping out the situation for some type of clear/traditional access, since Geo Baby was with me and I tend to be more careful about what type of adventures I lead her on...
Hayward Parks #2: Eldridge ParkBy: brianweeks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
I was getting a little frustrated, and didn't have my palm with me to get any additional information besides the lat lon and the first 60 characters (2 words) of the "hint" -- which were not of much use without the rest of it. So, Geo Baby and I went to play while WalruZ called lifelines and still got frustrated after a half hour or so of more looking. In the meantime, the soccer players started to arrive and I thought it best to leave and return another day.
No Longer Cesar ChavezBy: Baron88 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Creepy muggle at GZ, so we passed this one up yet another time. We'll be back...
Coffee Anyone #3By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen
I don't know what it is about this cache, but I've got the worst luck here! This was probably my 5th visit to the location in the last 2 years, but due to my poor timing (yeah, I'm by in the morning a lot), this was only the second time I could actually mount a search. Of course, since I'm a Starbucks fiend, the repeat visits don't particularly bother me. I'm sure this is just one of those situations where a 1* cache hide just becomes invisible to a particular cacher, so at some point I'm probably going to drag WalruZ out here to manhandle the equipment or something for me (while I get myself a latte)...
No Longer Cesar ChavezBy: Baron88 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Couldn't search today, as some farmers market guys had parked their behinds right at GZ, waiting for their truck to load itself, I'd imagine. We'll be back (and, gee, there's a playground nearby. How convenient -- Geo Baby will remember that for us, even.)
Plomosa Park PathBy: phoenix_kaji Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
The most proximal neighbor was sitting on his driveway working on something and looking at me, so I didn't mount much of a search before moving on. I'll be back.
Treasure Island IIIBy: Touchstone Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Micro
We came out and enjoyed a nice boat ride, just as when we did TI2 a couple of years back. Around the final site, I found all sorts of neat stuff -- half a jar of peanut butter, a book, a pair of combat boots, some black shoe polish, a tripod in good shape, a mesh basket, a steel file -- but no cache. Darn.
Element #17By: GeekDad Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
This was going to be a grand beginning to our family caching morning, but alas they've closed the most obvious parking area for the trail on weekends -- permanently. I spoke with the johnny-on-the-spot security truck guy at Sun and while he was nice but had no other suggestions as to where to park and access the trail from, he was not going to give us a pass to use the edge of their lot. I guess this one needs to be accessed from quite a bit farther away on weekends and we need to plan a little better with Geo Baby along. On weekdays during business hours the lot is open, according to the guard.
AYCABTU: One Is the Loneliest NumberBy: Zero Wing Dowbiggin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Not possible to search this afternoon. Took a 3 second look around the obvious hide object before I was asked if I lost something by the guy sitting like 5 feet away... Geo Baby liked the swings nearby, so it wasn't a total loss.
A Champion's MoatBy: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro
I made my way out there in my Easter-wear and looked around for the blinkie, but honestly after looking for a few of 'em in a short period of time, I find them a little tiring, particularly if the area can handle something bigger as one feature of the immediate site could. WalruZ didn't even want to get out of the car, so after this we headed home.
Yosemite PassageBy: TeamSpider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I focused on one particular hint-friendly location, but had mechanical difficulties with the search. I'll be back.
