D'Abby Dash #4 - BiddlesdenBy: Ratz42 & Roan65 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other
A quick find which was lucky as this usually quiet road suddenly became very busy! The log was too wet to sign so we took a photo as proof. Can email to the CO if needed. TFTC
The old laybyBy: The forrests Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Nice quick find. The log book had unfortunately been scribbled on by someone intent on sharing obscenities so we removed the offending pages. All clean now [:D] TFTC [:D]
Clem's Walk Su DokuBy: The Bramblers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Cool puzzle [8D] Mike got the info and solved the su doku and Jess joined him on the walk to find the cache. You know sometimes you walk into a field and you look around the perimeter for the footpath signs? "I wonder where the footpath is" you wonder nice and loudly in case the land owner is nearby, perhaps including a hand to the forehead to show you are looking... Yeah, no chance of not knowing where the footpath is on this walk [:D] TFTC [:D]
Red Sauce or Brown?By: brew-a-cache Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
Great idea for a puzzle. [:D] Another that was solved ages ago and not picked up. Finally we had the chance today. We wondered if the CO lived close by and looked out for twitching curtains [;)] TFTC [:D]
Merefield Pocket ParkBy: brew-a-cache Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Glad my A level came in handy for this puzzle. Solved ages ago but we hadn't got around to finding the cache yet so we set off again today. We must have a gazillion 'looks' on your see-who-viewed-this-cache audit because we typed the coords into the notes section and keep promising to go to pick up the cache! As we arrived at GZ we laughed at the many options but resolutely set about checking the correct one and missing the cache, then checking every other option before returning to the correct place again (isn't that just typical!) for a quick find. Riddle me this, Riddle me thatBy: pirate1883 (Adopted by The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small
Well, we visited in the summer and had a right old time climbing and hunting, delving and burrowing but no cache to be found. A PAF was needed and we got the hint we needed about a month ago. Why, then did it take us this long to actually go and complete the hunt? No-one knows. By the way, we still ended up looking in all the wrong places again anyway!!! The cache was found eventually in a place we had already looked. We disturbed a family of small furry rodents so I hope they are happy with how we swiftly replaced things for them. TFTC [:D]
A Lump of Concrete Near HarpoleBy: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
So all we had to do was go to Harpole and look for a lump of concrete nearby. Found it!

A 40 BoarBy: Cariadgold Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small
Very, very quick find. Amazed to see this creature here. Is it new? I must have driven past so many times and been concentrating on the junction instead. Anyway, TFTC! [:D]
Ira "Taffy" JonesBy: Cariadgold Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Found in the glorious Boxing Day Drizzle. How lovely [:D] Lovely spot for a cache, thanks for placing it here. [:D]
Rebecca RiotsBy: Cariadgold Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Cool carvings [:D] A very quick find with the clue - didn't need the GPS. Mike dealt with the admin while Jess read the info board for the history. TFTC [:D]
The Not So Secret SocietyBy: WilArchMS Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
As we pulled up and parked right next to the cache we could see exactly where it was going to be. It was therefore a race between Mike and Jess to get the cache so they both jumped out of the car and raced to the spot. Mike was on the correct side so he won! Haven't visited since the bypass was built so it is strange to see the road so quiet. Should help with the muggles! TFTC [:D]
Cyclists DismountBy: mushroom mike Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other
A very easy find, we knew where it was going to be on approach. If only the muggles would move before we got there! The CO has kindly said we can log this as found even though we couldn't open the lid of the cache to sign it. A photo was taken as proof of the find. Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy the event, I hear you are wearing a... "rubber ring"... wow! TFTC [:D] This entry was edited by mikenjess on Tuesday, 27 December 2011 at 11:40:12 UTC.
The DeerhuntersBy: Mushroom Mike Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small
Superb! We loved scrambling around in the trees. The GPS decided we were having a laugh and refused to play ball. At GZ (unbeknown to us) it said to go another 80 yards uphill so off we went in different directions. We resorted to working our way back downhill checking every place that we could think would be a good place. Jess uttered the cacher's joyful "Found it" and glanced back down at the GPS... "3ft".. well it's no good telling us NOW! TFTC [:D]
Muggle MayhemBy: mushroom mike Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other
Out for a wander on the beach and a search for a chip shop that might be open SMILIE Nice quick find in a place that Jess has been before but didn't know there was a cache here! Can see why you picked this spot. It must be full of muggles in the summer!

Hectic HarbourBy: CaptainCrazy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Didn't need the GPS as the clue was so good. Walked over from the centre on a cold and blustery day as the tide was coming in. It is always a pleasure to see the harbour fill up. TFTC [:D]
Harbour HeightsBy: CaptainCrazy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
Nice easy cache to find, spectacular views of Saundersfoot, wishing lots of bad karma to the dog owner who didn't clear up near to GZ. Honestly, why do they do that? Anyway, great spot for a cache. Really glad you put it here. Thanks very much! [:D]
Alphanumeric Northants - SBy: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
Out on a dark and chilly night. Cache was pretty straightforward to find by torchlight luckily. Quite unluckily we didn't relise we had picked up half of the footpath's mud on our shoes [:D] TFTC [:D]
Motorway Mayhem M40 J10By: Messe Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Parked up nice and close, Mike and Jess chose one option each... and Mike won. Again. Nice little hide, TFTC [:D]
1st Past the PostBy: Spirit of Guernsey Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I had a few spare hours nearby with a work colleague so took him to this cache. While explaining the likely hiding places to him he found the cache, in a likely hiding place[:D] TFTC
