The Explosive Neopet Cache

By: Caylie Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

FTF!!! 8:30am. Caylie, you have done a fantastic job with this cache. That's the biggest ammo box I've ever seen! and stuffed full of cool toys! There are plenty of trails in this area, and I was able to wind my way up to the cache with no problem. What a convenient place to hide if you're of a mind to skip a class or two. [:P]SMILIE I traded TBs, leaving a Sponge Bob cup. Old news compared to Neopets, but the best I could do. Thanks for a fun adventure. mjp303

Barnstormer Cache

By: enfuego Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Like other finders, this one has been on my to-do list forever. I'm sorry I waited so long! What a fantastic park. TFTC. mjp303

Can You Do the Cam Can?

By: TBD & D Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I found this cache after dinner at the Ritz. That's another nice place to eat nearby (especially if someone else is paying [;)]) mjp303

George was Here?

By: The Bajorans (Aaron) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Somehow I forgot to search for this cache when I was here yesterday for Cave. Whoops! mjp303

Three Dancing Maidens

By: Sierra Hikers Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Well, I pretty much knew where it was so I tried to make things interesting by walking between Mollie Stone's and the phone company. Sometimes roundabout is the best. [:I] mjp303

Big Game 2004

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

After meeting up at Miracle, I mentioned to Marky that I hadn't been able to find Big Game. He gave me a hint that sealed the deal and I returned for the quick find. Stanford 17, Cal 31. mjp303

Plan For a Miracle

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was so intent on my GPSr as I approached the cache that I failed to notice M J studying the area around the cache. [:I] We followed our feet for a while, and then Joani and I stood back while Marky patted the area down and made the find. My kind of teamwork! [;)] mjp303

Earth Filters

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Well, I have a Garmin (and it was pointing me 30' into the bushes), and I still couldn't find it for a while. I took consolation in the abundant evidence of "geotrampling": everyone else has had the same problems! mjp303

Adobe Slough Bridge

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I made the very pleasant walk to the cache, and then realized that I didn't have a pen! Oh well, I got to do it twice! SMILIE mjp303

The Cave Of The Cache

By: smellythestupidslave Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I found it at dusk. No one around. I enjoyed the solitude. There are no more spaces on the log sheet. TNLNSL. mjp303

Cabo da Roca II - The W point of Europa

By: Portelada Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

Wow! What a cool cache! Definitely some of the best views I ´ve ever seen while geocaching. I´ve placed two TBs in the cache. One of them is a special JEEP travel bug (as advertised on the geocaching main page!!!). The other is a dolphin that belongs to Casey, who is 7 and lives in New Mexico. Please take the best of care with it.

It´s great to enjoy geocaching wherever you go. Thanks for placing this fantastic cache. mjp303

Chapel with a view [Restelo]

By: MCA Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

My GPSr was pointing me towards the light pole, but I knew that wasn ´t right. After a quick search of the multitude of hiding spots, I found it quickly. Untying the knot in the plastic bag was another matter though. That took about 5 minutes! Needless to say, the cache was in good shape!
Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot. I´m visiting from Califor nia. mjp303

Clipper Gap Travel Bug Depot

By: boodlebuggy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

On our way to a wedding. Thanks for providing a diversion! This cache is very near to the place on the freeway where we blew a tire last summer. After we spent 45 minutes in the center divide (thankfully there was one!) the CHP finally arrived to run a traffic break so we could hobble accross to safety. mjp303

Minor Inconvenience

By: Woof! Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Well, after asking for TWO hints (I have no shame!) and still scratching my head, I pretty much gave up on this puzzle. Then, suddenly, inspiration! After some quick work at the computer, I headed out and found the cache; it was covered with natural camoflage: spider webs. TNLNSL. mjp303

Strange place for a picnic!

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I found this cache just as light was fading. Very interesting history, and creepy too. mjp303

I-80 Summit

By: MikieP Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Took a slight detour to find this cache on a beautiful evening. The freeway noise was a soft hum in the background, and I enjoyed hearing all the birds. Like the previous finder, I didn't linger too long: the mosquitos decended on anything stationary. Thanks, mjp303

Blue Light Special

By: beck1980 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

A second visit did the trick. I'm sure I looked at that hiding spot on my first visit, though [:I]. Be sure not to disturb the 4 huge palm trees (each one over 30ft!!!) that have been recently planted next to the blue lights! mjp303

Ode to My Leg

By: Woof! Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Not chosen

I enjoyed this cache very much. Noticed In Out close-by waypoint 1, and promised to reward myself if I found it. Unfortunately the drive thru line snaked around the parking lot and into the street. It was probably a good thing though, as hiking to the cache on a full stomach wouldn't really have agreed with me. After finding it, I watched boats in the ocean and bay, and planes out of SFO and OAK. Neat. Thanks, mjp303

San Bruno Mountain

By: Oleg, Marianna, Dennis Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

A very nice hike on a day with clear views. The sun was warm, but the breeze was cool. Perfect. Things are starting to dry out....except in the cache container! I tried to let it air out a bit. Thanks for brining me to this beautiful spot. mjp303

1870 Art Center

By: Billspursuit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

My own preconceived notions made hunting for this cache more difficult than it should have been. After expanding my perspective (art has a way of doing that!), I discovered the hiding place. Thanks, mjp303

Belmont Beauty

By: Rickshaw Man Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

3TF @ 5:15pm Thanks for hiding a cache here again. I had one about a year ago about 100ft from this one. It lasted about 3 weeks. Here's hoping yours fares better! This is one busy, busy park. Thanks, mjp303

Fox on the Hill

By: luxduke Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2TF @ 4:55pm. Missed Bill by a hair. I should've come at lunch! [;)] Searching with vigor nearly sent the cache down the hill! TFTC. mjp303

Rockaway Dreams

By: evanhk Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I trusted the GPSr on this one, and it didn't lead me astray. Just a few fishermen around on a beautiful Monday late afternoon. TNLNSL. Thanks, mjp303

Sunset Escape

By: evanhk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

A quick find in a beautiful place. Thanks, mjp303

See wall. Sea wall walk.

By: TBD & D and SUPERflamingo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

After completing the previous mission quite awhile back, I finally returned for this more arduous assignment. I found the enemy present in abundance. Most of the locals seemed quite sympathetic. Even their dogs didn't pay any attention to the little varmits as they scurried around reinforcing the ramparts. I observed a hawk who had aprehended one of the enemy and was attempting to return him to base for interrogation. My recommendation is to raze the enemy's position. Of course, this will eradicate the enemy, but, more importantly, it will destroy the course where the locals play that ridiculous game of hitting a tiny little white ball with a stick.

I eagerly await future assignments.

Secret Stairway #1- Meadows Park

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2nd time is the charm. On my first visit, I was barking up the wrong tree, so to speak. Thanks for changing the hint. I met dandm who found it just before I did. We had a very pleasant conversation while signing the log. mjp303

Secret Stairway #1- Meadows Park

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I must be blind. There are a lot of hiding places, but come on, twice as big as a sandwich container??? that should be an easy one. Not for me evidently. mjp303

Secret Trailhead #15 - Junipero Serra

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

FTF!!! 1pm. Sweet redemption after failing on nearby secret stairway. I dropped off "The moving cache" TB, who will enjoy a visit with all those cool toys in this pristine cache. mjp303

BAB Picnic #2 Commemorative Cache

By: C_skyking, Blaze, DavidT21, Fisherwoman, Team Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

10/16/03 note in cache description: The cache is NOT in the poison oak, nor near it! You can easily reach the cache without getting close to any poison oak. 6/09/04 Update: The first part is still true, but there is poison oak all around, and some less than 20' from the cache. Given the fact that accuracy of my GPSr was ~50' (North facing slope and tree cover), it may be pretty hard to avoid it. Be careful. You can easily reach the cache without g etting close to any poison oak, IF you know where it is!

BAB Picnic #2 Commemorative Cache

By: C_skyking, Blaze, DavidT21, Fisherwoman, Team Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I have kept away from this cache for quite a while now because of the poison oak warning, but finally desire overcame fear. While searching, there were several instances when enthusiasm nearly overcame good sense. I was pretty careful, so hopefully I didn't brush up against any stray sprigs. Thanks for a nice hide and a well stocked container. Took a bug; left a bug. mjp303

Do You See What I Saw?

By: E-T Explorers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

After searching for stage 1 and not finding it, I shamelessly asked for help. What I received was a very detailed description, which was great! I'm sure I put my hand on it during my first visit. Stage 2 was a quick find. Thanks, mjp303

The Secret Park

By: E-T Explorers Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The hint helped a lot, although we still searched for quite a while. Eventually Claire (10) found it in a spot both Mom and Dad swore that they had already checked. Thanks for showing us this park. mjp303

The Charleston Shuffle

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

A cool park. Totally deserted on a Saturday. All the plants along the waterfall were cut down, but I could still tell what they had been. Thanks, MJP303

Ghostly Secret of Pacifica

By: evanhk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

What a mysterious place. The access road was seriously steep! About 3/4 of the way up, I realized my chest was pressing against the steering wheel. A subconscious attempt to balance things out I suppose. MJP303

Skyline Overlook

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

A quick lunchtime cache grab. I'm out of theme, so TNLN. The view was obscured by fog. Is this place a park? It didn't appear to be, which makes me wonder why it hasn't been developed. Thanks, MJP303
