Los Altos Station

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was starting to think I'd never find this cache. I've lost track of how many times I tried to find it, but never at night. Passing by once again, BINGO. mjp303

Los Altos Gateway

8:30p. My flashlight attracted a bit of attention I'm sure. Picked up a digitalfish for my daughter's growing collection. mjp303

Pescadero Creek Bridge

By: Rain734 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

FTF!!! 6:45pm; approached the cache from the Portola SP side. We were amazed that this cache stayed unfound for over 2 weeks! It was a warm day, but the tree cover kept things quite pleasant. With bushes pressing in on the trail at some points, we felt really like explorers. The coords seemed a bit off, but unfortunately I forgot to take mark a waypoint on my GPSr. The hint made things easy. We love your caches; keep up the good work! mjp303

Not My Fault

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I circled around the parking lot until the coast was clear, and swooped in for the find. Busy on a Friday night. mjp303

Burton Park

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Ahh yes...the coveted 2TF. 9:30p. I thought for sure someone else would beat me to it. The park was still full of people enjoying themselves on this warm summer night. TFTC. mjp303

A Walk In The Park

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Since this one is very close to Girly Girl (long since muggled), I knew the way in. The hide on this cache is much better than that one, so I predict a long and happy life. I was suprised to pass a blackberry bush full of ripe fruit [:P]. Thanks for bringing me back to this pleasant place. mjp303

Gateway To Heaven

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Several people ahead on the log sheet. The link between the name of the cache and the location escapes me. mjp303

Thornewood Problem

By: Mr. Ranger Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3TF. After searching in the wrong location yesterday, and getting a very nice tour of how the upper crust lives in Woodside, I realized that one of the digits in the latitude was wrong. Unfortunately I had run out of time and couldn't complete it for the FTF. Coming back today, I discovered that two other people had figured it out and beat me to the cache. TFTC. mjp303

"It was a secret to me" Trailhead #1

Definitely worthy of a regular cache. Like you Boulter, I felt cheated by Meadows Media Swap...until I realized that Bear Gulch road is gated. TFTC. mjp303

RWC History 102: School, Fire Department, Library

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

FTF!!! A few minutes before Bullit [;)]. I actually felt like I was pushing it a bit on this one: People were everywhere, and it was a bit of a chore to retreive the cache. I thought someone would catch me for sure. After signing the log and driving away, I actually circled the block and came back to watch and see if anyone was poking around. A very nice hide, and interesting history. Thanks! mjp303

By: TIMNKRIS Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Interesting path; thanks for bringing me here. Cache must be close to an anthill; it was covered with the critters. mjp303

Going Postal

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

It's the site of the next California lumberjack competition [;)]! Logroll will take place in the slough, with the loser getting a faceful of brackish water. Yuck! [:D] IMHO, it's not art unless the author signs it. Did you see any signatures? mjp303

Thornewood Problem

By: Mr. Ranger Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Posted coords are on private property and don't match the cache description. Possibly an incorrect digit in the latitude?

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I found it, but then dropped it in a place that it can't be retrieved from. Sorry [:(]. mjp303

Triple Madrone View

By: Rain734 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

It was the perfect Sunday afternoon for a family outing. Everyone made the trip, and had a great time. We found the cache in good shape, although clearly visible from the trail. Two other lurkers have found the cache since MrZ; I say that because their logs both implied that they didn't come upon the cache by accident, and they certainly could have logged a visit on the website by now. We traded extensively, and left a TB. On the return trip, a detour to the Tafonia proved to be very interesting. Definitely a place worthy of it's own cache, if there was the slightest break in the tree cover.

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

While waiting for a mother and her son to finish playing around the cache, I watched the pickup basketball game. It was quite entertaining to listen to an obviously heated discussion in a language that you can't understand. I got to make up my own trash talk! TFTC. mjp303

Moonman #2

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

FTF!! 5pm. I decided to find this cache on the way home from work. Approaching on Hallmark left me frustrated, and I had to find another way in. Once there, I enjoyed a clear 180 ° view from SF to SJ. Nice. SL and took the TB. TFTC. mjp303

Water Dog Lake

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

FTF!! 6pm. I love this park. The trail was quite busy with joggers and dog walkers, but fortunately a break in the traffic occurred soon after I arrived. It's amazing to me that such a wonderful canyon exists with city all around. mjp303

Highlands Park

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

FTF!!! 6:30p. I watched the Little League team practice and enjoyed this beautiful park. Thanks for placing this cache. I'm feeling a little guilty 'cuz this is my 4th FTF on NavySparks' caches [:I]. mjp303

MVP

By: Bodster Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Missed the last 20 minutes of Amazing Race for a cache?!? Now that's dedication [;)]. Myrna and Charla were the main reason to watch that show! It's definitely not fair she had to eat just as much caviar and ostrich egg as everyone else [:O]. Anyway, I found the cache on the way to work this morning. I'd definitely miss the first 20 minutes of that for a cache [:D]. mjp303

A Harry Badge

By: BADGES Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I poked my hand into the hiding spot, but not far enough. After a few minutes someone else in our big group found it. After signing the log and letting the kids trade, digitalfish dropped in their signature item into the cache, which stimulated another flurry of trading. I'll bet they've never seen one of those fish disappear so fast! Thanks! mjp303

By: california-jones Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Assume Nothing #2

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I think 4wheeler and TeamAlamo just wanted to watch me flail around a bit. Fortunately they couldn't restrain themselves, so when I checked a spot and declared, "That's normal," their rueful smiles were enough to bring me back for the find. Very nice. mjp303

Inca Gold: Necklace of Tears

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Having the good fortune to arrive at the parking lot about the same time as them, Claire and I tagged along with Casey, TeamAlamo and 4Wheeler. Thanks for the fun. mjp303

Inca Gold: Stairway to the Sky

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4wheeler was kind enough to let Claire make the find. Being newbies to the eastbay hills, we were suprised at how steep the trail is! TFTC. mjp303

Inca Gold: Atahualpa

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I dunno, I'm confused. Maybe Claire found the jawbone here! All the climbing (and decending!) made my muscles shake and my brain fuzzy. FTFC. mjp303

Inca Gold: The Fifth Sun

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I think this one really made the trip for Claire. She spotted cow's jawbone (complete with half a dozen well worn teeth) lying on the ground close to this cache. Everyone at home was impressed, but mrs. mjp303 made a new house rule: Old animal bones are kept outside. mjp303

Inca Gold: Last Words

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4wheeler and I walked right by the turn-off for this cache, trading stories about the Midwest. Fortunately, TeamAlamo called us back. mjp303

Inca Gold

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

We experienced some serious arrow flutter around the final cache. You can probably guess what happened: 4wheeler and TeamAlamo went one way; I went another. They found it. Duh! Even Claire had enough good sense to follow them. What a great series! Thanks. mjp303

Why?

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Having read the logs, I suppose this was a ftf (lower case!) of sorts. The new hide is pretty crafty; we spent a long time looking in all the obvious spots, finally giving up, only to come back at it with sucess. Definitely a case of jumping to conclusions! Thanks to the owner and the re-hider! Also, thanks to TeamAlamo, who got the new coordinates for us. mjp303

Friendship Cache

By: The Robot Family Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

The Friendship cache seemed a little lonely, so I thought I'd pay a visit. It was a grey day, but even so there were several families at the park. I tried to pretend I was from some other city, PDA in hand, making notes about all the features of this very nice park. I think it worked... In any case, no one was around to see me find the cache, which was still well hidden with the contents in great shape. Too bad this place is so far from my house, otherwise I'd bring my family for a visit! Thanks, mjp303

Who is it?

By: JohnnyVegas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This multi had me going all over the place! At the second waypoint, I zeroed out closer to another husband / wife plot, and spent a few minutes racking my brain as to who the heck they were! After giving up, I decided to look around, and...voila! I found the cache, and was wishing I had a CITO bag, because there's a lot of garbage around. TN; left a little stuffed animal dog. Approached the cache to find dandm searching. He found it first, and then allowed me the fun of finding it for myself.
