Going In CirclesBy: ibenthere Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Knowing the distance to each waypoint and flipping back and forth between the two, I was able to get pretty close. A careful search produced the desired result. What a nice park! I stopped to watch a group of hard-core bocce players for a while. Otherwise, the cool temperatures seemed to be keeping everyone else indoors. Thanks, mjp303
Rabbits For RoscoBy: RoscoC Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
Thanks for bringing us out for a walk on a very pleasant winter afternoon. And now for something completely different...a visit to Costco. mjp303
Inspiration Point Hitching PostBy: GeoBrowns (adopted by BuckyD) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
We took the service road, it was plenty tough for our party. I'm afraid the cache site took a beating, at least 8 of the kids were in on the final search. After resting at the top on the benches, we made our way back to the ranger station. Unfortunately it had just closed. There was a lot of disappointment when everyone realized that a chance to see the king snake was gone. We did see a herd of turkeys come down the hill to drink at the stream. Quite appropriate for the day after Thanksgiving. mjp303
Rustic Lands HollowBy: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Very nicely done. There's another place nearby that fits the hint as well. After going over it with a fine-tooth comb, we widened our search a bit. None of the kids fell in the creek either! Thanks, mjp303
Horse Chestnut TrailBy: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
We parked in the no parking zone, and made a quick dash up the hill. I decided to let the preteens take the GPSr, after all, what could happen in 150 feet? Well, next thing I know, they're off the trail, hand over hand up the hill! Fun! mjp303
End of the Trail 3: Palo Alto BaylandsBy: darrenk13 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Ted and I took the walk to this cache on Thanksgiving Day before dinner. A great way to whet the appetite! Thanks, mjp303
Another Fog ViewBy: NavySparksandtheMrs Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
We parked next to the van that was missing the left rear wheel. Other than that, nothing else questionable in the lot. After finding the cache, signing the log, dropping off a TB, and trading, we stopped to appreciate the view. Today was only a 5 on the view meter though...it's kinda hazy. Thanks, mjp303
Woodside StoreBy: bodster Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
The store was closed today [:(]. Too bad, we were looking forward to exploring it. We found the cache straight away, and signed the somewhat damp log. I was wishing I had ziplock bag to put it in; that hiding spot will become a puddle in the coming months. TFTC. mjp303
New Life From OldBy: digitalfish Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
One small faded sign marked the trailhead where we came in. You'd think these folks would have the dough to maintain proper signage. Then again, maybe they don't want to encourage interlopers like me. In any case, we enjoyed ourselves immensely, petting a very friendly horse for a few minutes, and throwing rocks in the stream. Thanks for showing us this trail. mjp303
Banana Slug HighwayBy: digitalfish Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
The patch antenna on my Garmin really let me down at this cache. Beyond that, I really should learn for sure what that plant in the clue looks like. I'll bet the cache was right under my nose, but I couldn't find it. mjp303
Shady TrailBy: digitalfish Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
As with the other nearby caches, another pleasant suprise. Once we found the unmarked trail, it transported us into a hidden world. After noticing all the traps, we were glad it wasn't bee season. Half way back to the car, I realized that my son still had the log in his hand [:I]. Oh well, we were on the trail that much longer! mjp303
No Name ParkBy: NavySparks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
DNF #2 on this hide. There was a trio of cache-wreckers loitering in the park while we searched. Probably a good thing we didn't find it. mjp303
Varney AirBy: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
My son played while I cached. Thanks, mjp303
Fog ViewBy: NavySparksandtheMrs. Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
Sunset. Still clear as a bell. T: rubber robot; L: plastic ocelot. Took a picture of my son Ted with the view in the background. #24, I think. TFTC. mjp303
Brittan ParkBy: NavySparksandtheMrs Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I rummaged around for a few minutes, then, voila! Right in front of me. I was careful to avoid that blood stained branch [;)]! mjp303
Mayzie's DaisiesBy: TBD & D, SUPERflamingo, and GeoBeags Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
Quite a bit of traffic in the parking lot at 5:30pm, but quiet at the cache site. No problem finding it, even without a flashlight! TFTC. mjp303
The TempleBy: ChrissySkyking + Blaze Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
After announcing myself before leaving the path, I quickly made the find. Walking back, I passed a couple necking. What is it about this place? Just romantic, I guess! A note about the parking. Visiting on a Saturday, the gate for cars was locked, but for people was open. Even though there's a NO PARKING sign every 20 feet out on the road, I elected to ignore the warning like half a dozen other people were doing. As I returned to my car, a sheriff cruised by but didn't stop. Luck? perhaps.

Brisbane Mobile PC cacheBy: markmcc Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
I saw this one around 9am, but knew I wouldn't be able to go get it until lunch. Alas, no chance for the FTF! A quick find, but I steped in some doggie do [:(] on the way back to the car. I'll bet the FedEx guy on his lunch break wondered what I was doing! TFTC. mjp303
Mayzie's DaisiesBy: TBD & D, SUPERflamingo, and GeoBeags Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
After rooting around for about 10 minutes, I think I attracted the attention of the adults working at the nearby day-care center. Their suspicious glances drove me away. mjp303
Go Dogs, Go!By: TBD & D, SUPERflamingo, and GeoBeags Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

911 Police DepartmentBy: F.C.P.D. Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
A quick survey of the area didn't produce the cache, but after rereading the description carefully I was able to find it. I took two badge stickers for my twin 5-year old boys and a sly smile from someone coming for work. Thanks! mjp303
Crossroads ParkBy: anotherone Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
I found the cache in a place that I could swear I looked on the first visit. Log needs a zip-lock bag; it was damp. I didn't have one with me. TFTC. mjp303
Crossroads ParkBy: anotherone Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Resorted to the hint, but still didn't find it. Not too many possibilites though, I wonder if it's missing? mjp303
Vista ParkBy: anotherone Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
Looped around once before deciding where to park. No one in the park, just people heading out for a new day. SL mjp303
