Beach Loafer's

By: cyan_blue and RI_Walter Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

3rd of 5 on a Pacifica cache run after work. A very nice walk on the beach at sunset. The cache container is cracked. It'll be okay unless it rains hard. TFTC. mjp303

The Four Lucky Charms

By: TBD & D Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2nd of 5 on a Pacifica cache run after work. I found it quickly, but took a while to sign the log. By the time I started to replace it, a bar patron had taken a seat on the steps in front of the door. He wasn't moving, and light was fading. I came back at the end to replace it under cover of darkness. mjp303

Pomo Hollows

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1st of 5 on a Pacifica cache run after work. Two dads with daughters paid me no mind. TFTC. mjp303

Secret Coastal View

By: evanhk Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4th of 5 on a Pacifica cache run after work. Cool spot. I watched the sun drop into the sea. Very nice. mjp303

Secret Trailhead #13 - Pacifica

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

5th of 5 on a Pacifica cache run after work. I hiked up the trail a bit before starting my search. Upon returning, there was a car parked right in front of the gate. It was just dark enough that I couldn't see inside, but it turns out there was a hiker watching me from about 20 feet away. Boy was I startled when she got out! After explaining things, we found the cache together. TFTC. mjp303

Dish Drink

By: dw Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

A path in this area I'd never been on. Thanks for helping me work out the stresses of the day. mjp303

The Station 2 Cache

By: GeoStriker Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I stopped by after work: Lots of activity on the street, but all quiet in the park. Thanks for showing me this nice park, and for hiding another mid-peninsula cache. mjp303

Fair Oaks Cache

By: GeoStriker Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was hoping for an echo, but ended up with a fish instead. TFTC. mjp303

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Since there are precious few puzzle caches I can solve, there was no way I was going to be denied a find on this one. Previous logs helped focus my search, and voila!, there it was. TFTC. mjp303

Trust in Rust

By: homermayor Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2nd time is the charm. Noticed warning signs to stay away from the water since it is potentially contaiminated with untreated sewage [:O]. Accordingly, I skipped a dip in the creek. mjp303

Heritage Park

By: dw Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A quick find in the fading light. Nice park; nicer condos. TFTC. mjp303

Dixie "D"lights

By: montana pinenuts Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

Visiting from California, but Grandma lives just below the 'D' [8D]. We enjoyed the hike along the ridge and all of the spectacular views. The kids traded, and I dropped off Tinkerbell's frog that wants to visit all 50 states. TFTC. mjp303

Temple Quarry

By: Montana Pinenuts Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

After having a great time on the 'D' cache, I decided to try this other closeby Montana Pinenut cache. Setting out at dusk, I had a very pleasant walk in the failing light. I think this area would have been a prime location to view recent flood damage, had I come earlier in the day. In any case, the coordinates were spot on. I found the container withough a flashlight and appreciated the parallels to The Shawshank Redemption, which is one of my favorite movies as well. The trail is an amazing testament to pioneer determination that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for bringing me here. TNLNSL.

"$15K Cache Creek Gold Coin Legend" Cache

By: TheeSugaBear Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

A quick diversion on our way from here to there. The kids traded, and everyone stretched their legs. TFTC. mjp303

Basin Road Cache

By: tbrunner Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Pulled off; drove up; walked over. After taking care of trading and signing business, we returned the cache container to its inverted position. This technique is protecting things nicely. TFTC. mjp303

Baby Windmill

By: Scooterman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Thanks for a quick rest stop on the way to Easter dinner with the relatives. A few dry days have helped with the moisture problem, but a ziploc baggie would really be nice. TFTC. mjp303

Button Vector, C-58

By: gophertrax Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Hmmm...cache site needs some CITO. Alas, no trash bags or gloves. TFTC. mjp303

Jetty

By: Sierra Hikers Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

8am. Behind all the bustle and construction an oasis of calm and reflection. Okay! I'm ready for the commute now. [;)] TFTC. mjp303

Waterfall Cache

By: jmartine Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

The clouds parted just long enough today for us to hike up the creek and see those waterfalls, which were pretty spectacular with all the runoff. I decided to make a dash down to this cache by myself, and got caught in a downpour! I opened the container just long enough to sign the log, then buttoned things up and raced back to the car. Meditation Rock

By: rightseatsis Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

FTF!!! 1:30pm. I've always been curious about this park, and a new cache, with the FTF opportunity, was enough to lure me out even though it was raining. I'm really glad I made the trek, what a fantastic place. TFTC. TNLNSL. mjp303

Bucky's Bad Bounce

By: BuckyDef Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I found this cache on my way into Glen Canyon. Thanks, mjp303

(Son of) GlenCache

By: Dave Becker Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

A nice hike on a rainy afternoon. Although I slipped on the wet grass, thanks for bringing me to this beautiful park. TNLNSL. mjp303

She blinded me with Science...

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

She blinded me with...good camouflage. How about a location hint or container description? I gave up after about 20 minutes. mjp303

The Boulevard Bridge

By: brown-eyed susan Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

We took the very pleasant stroll from the dog park to this cache. After poking around a bit, we found it. There was plenty of pedestrian traffic, but they paid us no mind. It was fun to watch the outrigger races on the lagoon. Very nice hide. TFTC. mjp303

GeoBeads #4 ? The Jos Memorial

By: zapboy with help from workerofwood Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

This cache was the start of a nice little hike on the trail. Thanks for the bead, and for making this a very nice place to visit. mjp303

Go Fly A Kite

By: stbk Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Scratched around for a while, and eventually found it. Plenty of people trying to fly kites today, but no one really succeeding, since the wind was really sporadic. TFTC. mjp303

Ode To Gilligan

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

We enjoyed singing the song, and resisted the temptation to search for the cache in the nearby razor-wire. mjp303

Discover Water @ L'Avenida

By: MadDad (maintained by bullit) Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Plenty of walkers, joggers, cyclists, and roller-bladers on a pleasant Saturday afternoon. A creative hide made easier only by the fact that we had enountered it earlier in the day. TFTC. mjp303

Mountain View's other tallest mountain

By: MadDad Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Not being patient enough to follow the trail to the top, John (5) and I waded throught the tall grass, pretending that we were going on a bear hunt. C'mon, you know the song...Thanks, mjp303

Earth Red

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A puff of wind nearly separated this cache from it's log. Thank goodness I was able to recover it (the log, silly) before it went over the edge. mjp303

Google Falls

By: MadDad (maintained by bullit) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nice park. Especially deserted on a Saturday. Been here for a couple of other caches, I think. They must be gone now. Thanks, mjp303

It's Not In The Pipes

By: stbk and Eug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

John (5) made the find on this cache, and was rewarded with a plentifully stocked container. Thanks! mjp303

WALK YOUR BIKE

By: trode Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Thanks for bringing us to the underpass. Rumbling above, gurgling below, and a place with plenty of echos kept us entertained for quite a while. mjp303

Evil Empire

By: Stiv Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

The best part about this hunt was the ancient Dodge Duster with a flat tire next to the cache. A friend in high school had one just like it, and a lot of good memories came flooding back. Things are slipping around here if they allow abandoned cars in the lot. Thanks, mjp303

Medusa

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I had to spend a few minutes looking busy while co-workers finished up changing flat tire in the parking lot. This gave my GPSr a chance to settle down, and after that it was a quick find. Thanks, mjp303

Ohlone Village

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I think I really startled a woman riding by on her bike: I was in the process of making the grab, and didn't notice her closing fast. She didn't see me either until we were quite close, and when she did, swerved a bit. Nice hide. mjp303

Frank's Tannery

By: crawburr Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

FTF!!! 8:10am. Thanks for sharing an interesting bit of history. I've been to nearby establishments, but never knew that this historical marker existed. After counting (and recounting, although the answer was obvious) everything up, I managed to find the nicely concealed cache. Thanks for the FTF prize. I left a few trinkets and a geocoin. mjp303

Trust in Rust

By: homermayor Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Failing light foiled me. In retrospect suppose I should have stuck my fingers in all those little holes...or carry a flashlight [;)]. mjp303

Down, Down, Down!

By: hummingbird jr. Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

My kids have played in this park many times since their Grandmother lives a stone's throw away. I never thought to place a cache there though, so thanks! mjp303

As far as we could go!

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

A pleasant stroll after dark. Thanks, mjp303

Skylit

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I ended up being pleasantly suprised by this cache. What the heck do they do with that debris skimmer on a 20' pole? Why does this place have a window in the first place? So many questions; so few answers. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of something strange and new! mjp303

Patricia Wharton Park

By: Billspursuit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

After failing to find this cache the other day, I brought along the crew for a more thorough search. Six of us attracted the attention of the neighbor across the street, who (1) learned about geocaching and, (2) taught us about the mistakes made in landscaping the park. Eventually we found it (not me!). TFTC. mjp303

No Name Park

By: NavySparks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Two things: (1) FINALLY! (2) I swear I looked in that spot before. Oh, on an unrelated note, it appears that the neighborhood is well on the way to improving the park. $20k of a $60k goal has already been raised. And, according to the fund-raising sign, this is Heritage Park. mjp303

Bellamy's Cache

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

2TF 9am. This new cache lured us out on a beautiful sunny morning. Claire found it, and everyone traded. Thank goodness for little girls! Dropped a bug. TFTC. mjp303

Top of the Hill

By: Billspursuit Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

FTF!!! 7:45am Upon approaching the cache area, I despaired to realize that this hide was similar to another one nearby that had dumbfounded me (and others!) for quite a while. (Mentioning the name would give things away.) Fortunately, the search area is smaller. Very nice camouflage! I wish I new how to make such things. Thanks for placing another mid-peninsula cache. mjp303

Finnegan's Rainbow

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

For some reason I thought this was a micro cache. As a result I was looking in the wrong types of places until it practically bumped into me. No view: too foggy. No dead cat either, so don't let that scare you away. TFTC. mjp303
