West Toe

By: WalruZ (with thanks to Kindergarten Teacher) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

[8D]FTF![8D] 3:15pm I noticed this cache pretty quickly after it went live, and was suddenly overcome with an incredible FTF seeking urge. Glancing furtively into the hallway, I noticed the boss' door shut...after all it's performance appraisal time. Perfect opportunity to slip out. [:O] Arriving at the western approach (Range to target: 0.35 mi; Elevation: 200') I realize the extent of the task at hand. Too late now, so off I head. *Seven hundred* vertical feet later, I arrive, not sure if I'm dripping sweat or fog. It's probably both. I signed the log, exchanged the ME for an AK, and took the winini token as an FTF prize. TFTC! mjp303

Irish Spring

By: Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Our favorite hide of the day. Like vaccine mentioned, we had a great discussion on the age-old geocaching question: 'Which comes first, the cache container or the place to put the cache?' Now that I've re-read the cache page, I think I'll change my mind. Loved the history lesson, BTW. Thanks! mjp303

Fox Hollow Park

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I think we all checked the hiding place a least once before vaccine saw it (or was it ghoff3?). Very nicely done. mjp303

Sierra Court Neighborhood Park

By: Chambo DDR Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Vaccine's cache radar is good, but not that good. I think he peeked at the hint on this one. [;)] mjp303

Basketball Jones

By: TLHarrell Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Very nicely done on the camoflauge! TFTC. mjp303

Champagne Fountain

By: TLHarrell Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

A team effort on this one since there were several people nearby. ghoff3 and geekster blocked their view, vaccine made the grab and replacement, and I did the paper work. Rah Team! mjp303

Mirasol Park

By: TLHarrell Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Yup, every park deserves a cache. Thanks for doing your duty. mjp303

Parkhere - Coyote Creek

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Grossed out by spider webs, I didn't quite touch the cache even though I was feeling in the right spot. Vaccine made the find. mjp303

Coyote Ranching

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nice pun! TFTC. mjp303

Coyote Creek Secret Entrance

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I never knew about the pigs, but I do now! I would like to see some in the wild. TFTC. mjp303

Bailey's Crossing

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Vaccine and I scurried down to the cache while geekster pretended to have engine trouble. We found the decoy and then the cache. HaHa. mjp303

Secret Entrance: Coyote Creek Golf

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

A quick grab passing by. TFTC. mjp303

Coyote Creek Pool

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nice little hike to the cache. We passed a HUGE turkey vulture along the way scratching around in the brush. Neat. TFTC. mjp303

Let The Sun Shine

By: kaesky Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

After finding this cache, I think I mentioned that every once in a great while a blind squirrel finds a nut. mjp303

Bonnie & Clyde

By: kaesky Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Persistance paid off. Good thing the bank was closed. TFTC. mjp303

Shrub Side

By: kaesky Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Sorry, this one was found too many caches back. I'm not remembering a single thing. If Vaccine, geekster, and ghoff3 were here, so was I. mjp303

Cross Trails

By: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2nd of many kaesky caches today. Thanks for contributing so much to today's entertainment. mjp303

Walnut's Gap

By: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Geekster found this one. We're starting to notice a MH trend: Microcaches with logs in HUGE zip-lock baggies. TFTC. mjp303

Gateway Santa Teresa

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Unexpectedly, this turned into a multi-cache for us. The city needs to get out there and trim those bushes! TFTC. mjp303

Club Santa Teresa

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was our last cache of the day. Whew! I'm tired. Thanks for a fun day. mjp303

Santa Teresa Driving Lessons

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Vaccine had the cache in hand even before I had decided where to look first. They were vacuuming up the range balls nearby. TFTC. mjp303

101 Excursion ... View

By: Jim and Jeanette Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I was content to enjoy the view, but ghoff3 was all business. I think that guy in the truck was pretty suprised to wake up and find the four of us just accross the road. TFTC. mjp303

101 Excursion... Kirby Canyon

By: Jim and Jeanette Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Honors, schmonors. They sat in the car while I did all the work. TFTC. mjp303

The Earth Moved Under My Feet

By: clovis2provo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Thank goodness the park was deserted. We were there way too long and abused way too many innocent plants. When I finally had it in my hand, I felt relieved, not triumphant. mjp303

It's A Kid Thing

By: kaesky Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Nice to find such a big cache in this location. Thanks! mjp303

Sticker Shock

By: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Not too many possibilities on this one. geekster and ghoff3 were snickering about a sticker they found, but all I could think about was lunch. Isn't there some fast food nearby? mjp303

101 Excursion: Nicklaus Signature

By: cc Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I wish I had the tools for this kind of stuff. TFTC. mjp303

Vineyard's Vine

By: Wolf Grrl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Given the recent history on this cache, there was quite a bit of chest thumping and back slapping on this one. It reminded me of one close to home: Gustine's Sister Cache. Thanks. mjp303

Mystic Mushroom

By: Travieso Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Hidden? BaWahHaHa! Nothing hidden about the images on that mural. However, the most brazen move on this cache was geekster leaving car running around the corner while we found the cache. [:O] mjp303

Diana's Rose

By: Travieso Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Tall as I am, I felt a little uncomfortable that close to the rather short fence. As a result, I hung back and let the others take charge. TFTC. mjp303

Ivy League

By: Travieso Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Our searching attracted the attention of a lady walking her dogs. The little yapper was on a leash while the big German Shepard ran free. Ultimately, I think we were more interesting than the dogs as she told us we looked 'official' with 'those things' in our hands. TFTC. mjp303

Welcome to Morgan Hill

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I hadn't read the cache page before the search started, so when I resorted to the hint, it wasn't too helpful. Somehow, I found myself alone just as I spied something suspicious, and kept it to myself so that they could enjoy finding it too. TFTC. mjp303

Temple of Doom

By: Travieso Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Creepy fun! The first find of the day on our cache expedition. Many more to come. Thanks! mjp303

Tie A Yellow Ribbon

By: RV Paces Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Cool idea for a cache! [8D][8D] I loved the juxaposition of hidden and visible elements. Thanks for sharing. mjp303

Wright stop

By: OldFolk Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nice hide. Pleasantly bigger than I was expecting. mjp303

San Pedro Ponds Trail

By: dpsmedic & Daughter, adopted by GeoGillian Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Actually vaccine is only partially right. I told geekster to take a look in a particular spot, and he persisted until the cache was in hand. TFTC. mjp303

Pennies From Heaven

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

I was able to relive one of my favorite childhood activities on this cache. Thanks for the opportunity. mjp303

Robin Hood's Neighborhood Trailhead

By: bykenut Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Great camoflauge! That lady up the hill sure was watching us, but she was too far away to see what we were doing. TFTC. mjp303

U Qwack Me Up :)

By: Two Hawks aka Night Tracker Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Nice little stroll down to the cache. I loved the suprise when we found it. Thanks. mjp303

Along the De Anza Trail 1 - Gilroy

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Gilroy? Hmmm...I thought this was Morgan Hill. No matter, it's a DeAnza Trail plaque and there's a cache. Thanks. mjp303

Coyote Crossing

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Who's vdbalamo? Just kidding. TFTC. mjp303

Golden Retriever

By: Tweety Bird and TazDevil Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

A nice little hike with a great view and an unexpected twist. TFTC! mjp303

Chesbro Dam

By: pedaler Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

From an adventure standpoint, this was probably my favorite of the day. I figured out where the cache was right away, but laughed out loud when I realized what the hint meant. TFTC. mjp303

Upper Water Dog Trailhead

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I stopped here to stretch my legs on the way home from work. Daylight was nearly gone, but while I didn't have any trouble spotting it, I did have to look occupied while muggles lingered at the trailhead. TFTC. mjp303

Jan 25, 2006

Chainasaurus

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Yeah, what Kablooey says. [:I] I practically knocked the cache off it's perch with my flashlight, and still had to have him put his finger on it before I realized what I was looking at. I really ought to get more evil hide practice. Thanks for the lesson! mjp303

Jan 24, 2006

Hallmark Park

By: geekster Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

23Jan: Scoured the area, but no luck. [:(] Great view though! [8D] 24Jan: My second pass revealed the nicely hidden cache. I had to contend with some early morning tennis players, but fortunately they were concentrating on the ball and not on me. Thanks! mjp303

JAFLP-Portside

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

A grey drizzily day, but still a few people working on their boats. TFTC. mjp303

The Lost Village of West Union

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

With my GPSr zeroing in a completely illogical spot, and my one-track mind fixated on something smelly, I had to rely on a thoroughly amused lifeline. Okay, now I get it. Very nice. mjp303

The City of Visitacion

By: WalruZ (adopted by mjp303) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Not being vertically challenged helped on this cache. Dodging muggles during a bright, sunny lunch-time was another matter. I was determined though, and eventually the deed was done. TFTC. mjp303

Bart: Millbrae Station

By: TheAprilFools Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Not as deserted as I would have liked...this section of the lot appears to be a waiting place for carpoolers, taxis, and limos. I used the car as a shield. [;)] TFTC. mjp303

By: The Watkins Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nobody around on a rainy morning. Left a TB. TFTC. mjp303

Twisted Strands

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nice fresh log! I had to wait for an employee from the lighting store to leave, but that gave me the opportunity to search from the car. I found it while sitting there, which was a first for me! mjp303

Cars and Carrots

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I could swear I've found this cache before. I must have forgotten to log it. hmmmm. Well, it's done now. mjp303

Hanging Out in Las Palmas

By: Rocket Girl and Duckey Lee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I spent a good deal of time with my back to the cache. When I finally turned around, voila! Great container. TFTC. mjp303

Mary Washington Cache

By: L-grl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

By: pddoc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I interrupted Kindergarten Teacher as she was making the find. After flashing my GPSr, we unloaded the cache and signed the log together. Nice to meet you, KT! TFTC. mjp303

Bart: South San Francisco Station

By: TheAprilFools Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Bart: San Bruno Station

By: TheAprilFools Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Plenty of hiding places on this cache. Fortunately, the hide wasn't too evil. I happened to arrive just as a trainful of harried communters were hopping into their cars and racing towards home. Ever seen 20 cars zip past you in a parking garage at about 40mph? [:O] I didn't insist on taking my turn. [;)] TFTC. mjp303

Out this afternoon to find the others along this trail. Stopped to chat with Geekster and Tavahi, who suggested I walk along the trail a little further. [;)] Thanks guys! My first pre-approval find, but only third on the log. TFTC. mjp303

Shoreline Trailhead

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I hopped out of the car, and noticed OneAngryPuppy. We chatted for a while, and then I strolled over to the cache area.
