Tall Coe Bell

By: georgeandmary Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I met up with cer at this cache as we both started out Coe Backcountry weekend adventures. I hadn't read the hint, had no preconceived notions about where it ought to be, and spotted the cache quickly. Thanks! mjp303

Burra-Burra

By: pedaler Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

We stopped off on our way into Coe Park for the Backcountry weekend. The fog was whipping over the ridge making everything cool and wet. As the first ones up the trail, it was just a faint break in the tall thick grass. We really enjoyed the hike, although the views would have been spectacular, I'm sure. TFTC. mjp303

Tube

By: McGrude-n-Nif (adopted by mjp303) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Okay! The cache is back in place. Clean, dry, and stocked with plenty of swag. Come and get it! Watch out for the poison oak! Please mention in your log if it gets too close to the hiding spot and I'll do a little trimming. Since this is a relatively busy spot, please put the cache back just like you found it.

(#1 Bay Trail) Oyster Cove

By: AuntFlora Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Wow! It was almost too good to believe: a new cache 0.3 mi from work. So I hurry on over, and start to search. And search. And search some more. In the process I found plenty of nifty hiding spots that matched the hint, but no cache. [:(] All of them were of higher difficulty and terrain than what was posted. Some considerably higher. [:O] A cool spot, but frequented by fishermen. Could it be gone already? mjp303

I'm Batman!

By: UnleashTheFreak Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

[8D]FTF![8D] 12:15pm Thanks for the nice, large, well stocked cache! Location and cache size combine to make the muggle factor high; once I had spotted the cache, I really took care before pulling it out of its hiding spot, since there was no good way to conceal the it from passersby. Good fun. TFTC. mjp303

I'm Batman!

By: UnleashTheFreak Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I joined the other caped crusaders, but even using super powers, it was not our day. It's back to the bat cave to brood over the injustice...and give the bat gloves a thorough cleaning. Yuck!

Dolphin Encounter

By: Shores Scout Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Group FTF! So I was approaching the first waypoint, and I heard a couple of car doors slam shut and the 'approaching' beep of a GPSr. Yup, it's Eagle81 and Eagles Wing. Actually, the fact that we approached from different directions helped us overcome the one of the little twists this cache throws. The container seemed a little empty, so I left a bunch of swag and a SC geocoin. Trade fair! Oh, I took the other coin to move on. Thanks for a fun multi! mjp303

Let's Play!

By: dr.dolittle_w/_faith Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Well, shucks, I thought I knew all the hiding spots in this type of location. It was all quiet this blustery evening, and I was so intent on my task that I failed to notice the maintainance guy who was taking down the baricade now that the slide is fixed. Caught in the act, and not wanting to appear the pervert, my only alternative was to confess. He knew about Geocaching and pointed out several of the locations of former caches in the park. I think he was more than a bit amused that a grown man would crawl around a play structure looking for hidden treasure. Fortunately, since I couldn't find it, he won't be able to either. [;)] mjp303

Tee Time

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

We were on our way to this cache when it decided to rain really hard, so we took refuge under a tree for a few minutes. After that, we found the cache just fine, but then realized that there was a homeless family in the bushes about 100' away. I think their son saw my boys and his curiosity got the better of him. I was going to try and explain things, but we didn't speak the same language. I'm sorry if the cache goes missing, but I'm hopeful they may not have been close enough or paying attention enough to figure things out. It was a sad scene, but an important lesson in life that we discussed on the way back to the car. TFTC. mjp303

Element #2

By: GeekDad Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Mom and the girls went ahead to Grandma's house to help with Easter dinner preparations. That left me and the boys with a little time to burn. We really enjoyed the walk to this cache. Not too muddy, and only a few sprinkles. We signed the log and traded a couple of toys for an unactivated Team Leggoes geocoin. Trade fair! mjp303

U Can I Con

By: vaccine Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

So I finally got around to finding this cache. Great view! It wasn't too busy today, for which I was grateful: This cache would be difficult with lots of people wandering around. Appropriately enough, I launched a travelling geocoin, 'mjp303's 2006 CITO geocoin #2'. It's kinda tough to think of a coin as something that travels, but I'm trying! [;)] I was tempted to deface it somehow, but in the end decided not to. Thanks! mjp303

Theodore's Walk: Final Reward

By: Kindergarten Teacher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

What a view! Thanks for bringing me up to see this picturesque spot. My zero was a ways off, and completely devoid of any possible hiding spots, so I had a couple of choices as to where to search, and unfortunately chose incorrectly. Really though, I didn't mind spending the extra time--it was so beautful. Eventually the find was mine. I signed the log, and rescued a TB. TFTC! mjp303

Theodore's Walk: Remembrance

By: Kindergarten Teacher Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

My GPSr had me wanting to trample in a very nice garden that it apprears someone has taken on as a personal project. I resisted the urge, and had the cache in hand shortly. I'm starting to see where this whole thing is headed! mjp303

Theodore's Walk: Java & Gems

By: Kindergarten Teacher Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

My first stop on the series; it was a quick find, and I sat on the nearby bench to sign the log. On the way back to the car, I disturbed a herd of ferral cats who were feasting on the food that some benevolent soul had left for them. I'll be Theo would have liked to check out that place! TFTC. mjp303

Coastal View Travel Bug Inn and Spa

What More Could You Ask For?

By: Kindergarten Teacher Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Well, since you asked...here's what I'm asking for: (1) Less wind! It was really howling tonight, and I almost lost my hat with the no snowmobiles pin on it; (2) Thinner fingers. No additional comments there. [;)] As it turns out, there were no muggles to dodge, and I had the view to myself. Thanks for that! mjp303

Traffic Jam

By: geotap and skwerlie Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

[8D]FTF![8D] 8:30am. My zero for the posted coordinates was in a spot that just was not possible. However, since the search area was considerably constrained by the terrain, I was still able to find the nicely camouflaged cache. Thanks for the pleasant morning walk! TNLNSL. mjp303
