Jack Be NimbleBy: rosmo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro
My timing was poor on this cache: As I pulled in, there was a CHP officer parked on the shoulder of the NB on-ramp. Deciding not to attract his attention, I parked about 0.25 mi away (...still illegally!) and made the walk. It was worth the effort. Thanks for showing me this neglected stretch of the bay front! mjp303
Jack Be QuickBy: rosmo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
Like the other 'Jack' cache, again my timing was poor: Right after jumping out of the car, the rain clouds opened up and drenched me, although I could see plenty of blue skies all along the horizon! I was grateful for a little shelter close to the cache location, and took the time to discover a coin. The cache seemed exposed, so I covered it with a bit of natural camo before leaving. Es Effo Bug HotelBy: bthomas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
I dropped a couple of bugs we picked up down in Temecula, and grabbed one since occupancy was a bit tight. Really nice what you've done with the place...that new landscaping is sharp! [;)] mjp303
Kill Your TVBy: Mannard Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro
I had the good fortune to walk up shortly after dw had found the cache. She handed it to me and told me it was my job to wind the log up, which I happily did since she had already done the difficult work of finding the cache. We reminisced about the archived PisoMojado cache that used to be here. Thanks for recycling the spot. Your hide style is probably more appropriate though, given all the foot traffic. TFTC. mjp303

End of the RoadBy: General Grant & The Mad Dog Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
We drove right up to it and made the quick find. There was a truck sitting outside a fence a little ways down the dirt road, but I'm not sure there was even anyone in the cab. The kids enjoyed the trading. TFTC. mjp303
"Beacon" of Light in the Lost HillsBy: General Grant & The Mad Dog Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular
"Valero" of value is more like it. Toughest part about it was dodging the folks napping in their car. ...the Lost Hills sound like a place I'd like to visit though. Maybe next time around! mjp303

Just after I palmed the cache, this guy down on his luck walks up and tries to sell me his cell phone. He's broke and just needs a few bucks for gas money to get to Fresno. Either he's a smooth talker or I'm a softie because I gave him $20 and didn't even take the phone. After signing the log and putting the cache back I watched him give the same pitch to another traveller. Sigh. I hope he can live with himself; I know my conscience is clear. TFTC. mjp303

Wow! This was one busy parking lot. I accidently bumped another car while opening my door. The guy honked at me, but didn't have the nerve to get out and have a look until I was across the way at the other cache. What a goober. TFTC. mjp303

CornerView CacheBy: Reela and Cat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular
We found the cache easily, and the kids enjoyed trading in the nice big can. I decided it might be a good idea to cut the visit short when the guy at the house across the street decided to come down to the end of the driveway and watch us with suspicious eyes. Mrs. mjp303 had a better plan, she said , 'Don't worry, honey, we'll just tell him we stopped by to take p ictures with the uprooted phone booth!' ...and so we did! Much fun was had by all. Hmmm...described as a regular cache with 1 star terrain. I guess we need to learn the local geocustoms! [;)] Fortunately several locals came along and rescued us. I guess it would have helped to have seen 'It'. The one where the little boy says "REDRUM, REDRUM" still gives me the shivers. Thanks for providing a pre-event tour! mjp303

Ahhh, there we go! Noodling on this one intermittently I finally hit upon the right combination. Great job on your first hide. [8D] Confident of my puzzle solution, I arrived at zero and was completely bamboozled. Did I solve it wrong? Were the coordinates bad? Usually your eye is drawn to a logical hiding spot; this one is completely random...and that's what made it interesting!
