Burp! Burp! #6

By: butchmouse Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

So exposed I overlooked it for a moment or two! What a nice park. Thanks for getting me out for a lunch-time hunt. mjp303

The Ridge

By: butchmouse Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

A small enough cache that I didn't need to worry that the swarms of dog walkers would be able to figure out what I was doing. [;)] Thanks for getting me out for a pleasant lunch-time walk. TFTC. mjp303

Piering Down on Pacifica

By: SnoWake, Panza -n- Dingo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

What a great day for a lunch-time walk. Clear as a bell with views extending all the way to the Farrallon Islands, which was just the ticket to clear out workday stress. Two coins in; a coin and a TB out. TFTC. mjp303

Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz

By: crawburr Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Music lessons as a kid led me to think I might have a chance on this puzzle. As I solved it, I got the feeling I was missing a lot of musical inside jokes but managed to arrive at a nearly correct solution. A helpful nudge from the cache owner led to a quick find this morning. Thanks for an interesting puzzle! mjp303

Desperado

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this cache was part of a scenic tour of coastal backroads: A fun adventure! John and Ted had a lot of fun climbing and sliding in the loose rocks close to the cache. Thanks. mjp303

Steve and Steve's Barn

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, we couldn't pass up low-hanging fruit right along the way. Well, not me at least, the boys stayed in the car playing some sort of game. TFTC. mjp303

KinQue's Happy Birthday

By: The Super Cool Losers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this was a quick stop out of necessity. Actually, it probably looked a flashmob event. Boom, 15 people appear. 2 minutes later, we're gone. Heh! TFTC. mjp303

The CamoMingo

By: crawburr Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this find gave us quite a chuckle. The boys were highly entertained with a rooster who kept crowing at us: They thought his alarm clock was all messed up! TFTC. mjp303

In Memory of...

By: wendycat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this was our first stop. John and Ted were a bit deflated that they didn't get to hunt, but contented themselves by looking through the swag. TFTC. mjp303

Boundary Cypress

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this was as far from the coast as we got today. I confidently pulled right up in the driveway, and we marched right up to the tree and started searching. Hmmmm, nothing obvious, so check the hint. Yes, plenty of that right around the tree. Still no luck. Oh, what about the GPSr? Heh! I guess we're off a bit. Great tree though! TFTC. mjp303

The Lost Village of Lobitos

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this multi was an interesting diversion. Thanks for pointing out the history! John and Ted were invaluable in locating the clues. TFTC. mjp303

Where Land and Sky and Sea Speak to Thee

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, we had a bit of extra time to fill and this cache turned out to be a wonderful way to do it. We discovered that Franklin Point is a fantastic location; thanks for pointing it out. I especially liked the hike through the dunes. Dropped a TB. mjp303

Ask Mr Whyte

By: vaccine Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Caching our way toward a negative tide at Pescadero, this was my second find after visiting several others with I'd previously found with the group. Thanks for the fun puzzle. John and Ted enjoyed exploring around where the cache was hidden. mjp303

A River Runs Through It

By: Graniteandgraham Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Tough with all the tree cover. Thanks for pointing out this pleasant park. mjp303

Got it. TFTC. mjp303

So you must live in....

By: kindredlaugh Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Thanks for an enjoyable puzzle with interesting local information! Determining one of the coordinates really gave me fits, but I was able to figure it out eventually by carefully studying the map. mjp303

I Cannot Tell a Lie

By: Graniteandgraham Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Thanks for another cache in this beautiful park. Even though sundown was only minutes away, there was plenty of activity: tennis, soccer, jogging and dog walking. My coordinates were a bit off, but still within EPE so I'm not there's anything that can be done to improve the situation. Besides, that's what the hint is for, right? And it made things perfectly clear. TFTC! mjp303

Biting the Dust

By: Graniteandgraham Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The last cache in this park (over 4 years ago, IIRC) was up in the arbor. I was grateful that your placement didn't require me to draw that kind of attention! TFTC. mjp303

Shad Park

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Coordinates seemed off to me, too, but with a bit of perseverence I made the find. TFTC. mjp303

Sun Fish Park

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Thanks for the replacement. I was a bit leery searching for this cache given the sign around the corner. Fortunately Fido was still in the house. For a moment or two I thought my extraction tool wasn't going to work, but then I realized I didn't need one anyhow. Nicely done. mjp303

Ketch Me If You Can

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

All clear this morning, leading to a quick grab and go. TFTC. mjp303

I'm so evil you should stay home!

By: Team Vaccine Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

Nice twist on a classic hide! I really enjoyed it...once I stopped over thinking and figured it out. Thanks. mjp303

The Old Bay Bridge

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Thanks for the history and the cache. I wish the old span was open to pedestrians; I'd love to walk out there. mjp303

Expressway no parking

By: nlrw Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I found illegal (probably) parking on what used to be a street into Bay Meadows. There were lots of people out for a Sunday walk, so I had to time my grab and replace just right. TFTC. mjp303

You Have Mail

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

There were lots of people on the other side of the park, but I decided to go for it anyway. Definitely a bold hide. TFTC. mjp303

Lovedeer Park

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

I noticed the cache container right off, but didn't see it for what it really was until I'd eliminated some more conventional possibilities. A fun one! mjp303

Turnstone Park

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I sidestepped the construction and made the quick find. It was pretty suprising to me that the workers would just leave their tools laying around. The cache is not so much magnetic anymore as just wedged in place. mjp303

Quit

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

The only thing I've got to quit is snooping around in suspicious places. Heh! mjp303

Let it Ride

By: hawaiilovers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. We made the correct turn to arrive at this cache, the others overshot and had to turn around. We were examining the contents of the cache when their voices crackled over the FRS radio, "Where are you?" Now it's off down the Miami trail to Signal Peak. TFTC. mjp303

One Degree Of Separation: Leapin' Lee

By: Leapin' Lee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Regular

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. This was a quick stop on our way to higher elevations. Geocaching is indeed a small world. I traded coins. TFTC. mjp303

McCorry Road

By: Bronco Guy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Exploring near Oakhurst with Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. One last cache on the way home before calling quits. Mystery Ink sprawled out on the pavement with a car barrelling down put my heart in my throat, but everything turned out okay. The camera had a close call, too, when the car tire missed by just inches. TFTC. mjp303

Devil's Lookout Cache

By: Cache Cows Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. This was the destination cache for the day. We made a few wrong turns along the way, but travelled along a really fun trail up to the top. The views were spectacular, and it was a lot of fun to share lunch at the lookout. What? There's a cache somewhere? Oh, yeah, almost forgot the reason we came! Thanks for providing the inspiration for an unforgetable day. mjp303

Gimme Shelter

By: micbob 1 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. At this point we were on our way home after summiting signal peak. Thanks for the roadside stop! mjp303

Snoline

By: mountain travler Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. The adults spotted this pretty quickly, but held back so that the kids could discover it for themselves. Very nicely done! mjp303

Flume Ride

By: Frenchy, Prince Michael & E Clampus Vitus 41- Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. This was quite an interesting virtual. I was really curious how the flume transported loggers! Did they just straddle the logs? Were there special boats? Did they just float along with the current? Inquiring minds want to know! TFTC. mjp303

Mariposa History

By: halfdome and shortcircuit Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Exploring near Oakhurst with ModjotREKkers, Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. They'd all found it previously, but humored me with a quick stop. TFTC. mjp303

Sticky Wicket

By: Touchstone Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

On our way to explore near Oakhurst with Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. We've passed through this area many times while hurrying on to other destinations or returning to the bay area, but never stopped to cache. We got down to business while the others shouted encouragement from outside. Claire made the find. Thanks for a fun little hunt! mjp303

Old Gazebo

By: Frenchy, Prince Michael & the Clampers Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

On our way to explore near Oakhurst with Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. This was our lunch stop. Like weary travellers of old, we enjoyed our break under the old gazebo. TFTC. mjp303

Wildcat Station

By: Frenchy & E.Clampus Vitus 41-49 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

On our way to explore near Oakhurst with Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. Thanks for sharing the history of the area with us; it's fun to learn about bygone times. mjp303

Hartattack1

By: burndog Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

On our way to explore near Oakhurst with Motor Bug, Mystery Ink, and bthomas. This cache was our primary objective, and although we got kind of a late start, there was no way we were going to be denied. What a great trail! And, as advertised, the views were fantastic. Honestly though, we were all a bit suprised that this wasn't a 'drive-up'! Coming from sea level, the last 0.25 mi really got my heart pumping. Thanks for a real winner of a cache! mjp303

Bay Area Quadrangle Challenge

By: mjp303 Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Today is the 1 year anniversary of this cache. Congratulations to everyone who has found it thus far, travelling far and wide and then hiking deep into the forest to log the final cache! [8D] However, there are a number of people who have met the requirements, but cannot finish as it is currently set up. As a result, in a few weeks, I am going to move the final cache to a more accessible location. Hopefully this won't frustrate anyone who's already found it. Please contact me if this move might impact you. Thanks again to everyone for participating in the challenge and sharing your adventures! mjp303

B afraid

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2TF @ 9:10a Barron88 was on scene when I arrived, so it was only fitting that they were FTF. My fears directed my search elsewhere, but I knew something was up when they got quiet. Thanks for the fun little suprise! mjp303
