The Launch Pad

By: Major Phlegm Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I made the grab and got a shower since the cache was full of water. The log was totally soaked and pasted to the lid of the cache, so I didn't sign. That retrieval aid caused the seal to fail. The cache needs some attention. mjp303

I-Park Shortcut

By: ChipnDonna Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Got it. Signed log. TFTC. mjp303

Cornelis Bol Park Booty II

By: ms piglet Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Rough in the dark. Several dogs and their owners surely were wondering what me and my flashlight were up to. TFTC. mjp303

Practice, practice

By: homermayor Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Tricky little hide. Thanks for making me work for it! mjp303

By: the_navigator_25 (adopted by mjp303) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Yup. Missing.

Edgar Allan Poe: The Raven (Bonus Cache)

By: Sierra Hikers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

After making the loop and collecting all the clues, we decided it would be easier to make a quick drive and approach from another angle. I love this park, and we had fun with all the cache themes. Plans are definitely in place to re-read the Poe stories that we've enjoyed in the past. TFTC. mjp303

Edgar Allan Poe: The Haunted Palace

By: Sierra Hikers Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

After having found two of the four caches nearly 9 months ago, we finally made it back to finish off the series. It was a lovely day for a hike! Thanks for getting us outside for a bit. The writing on the bag containing the item with the clue has worn off and is hard to read: One of my boys was quite enamored with it and I had a hard time convincing him it wasn't a trade item. Unfortunately I didn't have a sharpie to fix the problem. TFTC. mjp303

Edgar Allan Poe: The Masque of the Red Death

By: Sierra Hikers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Of course everyone had to try on the mask. Thanks for the well hidden cache. With all the clues in hand, it's off to the final! mjp303

Burlingame's Beach

By: Bcachin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Quick stop on the way to work; I watched the sandpipers working the mudflats for their breakfast. Thanks for pointing out this peaceful spot. mjp303

Auld Lang Syne

By: Wildbun Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I've been to this spot long ago for another cache. The good spots always get recycled! mjp303

A Sprinkling of Evil

By: runnerinwoods Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Evening cache run. I went straight to the hide spot, but didn't recognize it for what it was. Searched far and wide with growing despair, and started to retreat in defeat before something clicked and I went back to the place I started. Lots of fun! TFTC. mjp303

Under the Green

By: doctor killjoy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I love the neighborhood. I have to agree with Marky though...messing with mail is not a trivial matter. Hopefully the local carrier is an easy-going type. TFTC. mjp303

Killjoy's Krypt

By: doctor killjoy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I DNF'd this cache nearly a year ago on a nighttime FTF hunt. This time I knew where to look! Your neighbor was washing dishes at the sink. Fortunately she didn't look up, or I probably would have given her quite a start. The repaired cache didn't have a log so I added one. Thanks. mjp303

Somewhere in Mountain View

By: catomcat Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Evening cache run. Parked next to the Google basketball court, which was busy. I thought the interference overhead might create havoc, but the coordinates were spot on making for a straightforward find. Nicely done camouflage! TFTC. mjp303

Cole Avenue Park

By: pmorin1965 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Out for a lunch time hunt. I finished my sandwich here, and enjoyed the warm sunshine. TFTC. mjp303

Edgemar Park

By: pmorin1965 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Out for a lunchtime hunt. There used to be a cache about 50' away. You know you've been caching a while when the locations start getting recycled! TFTC. mjp303

A Cache for Vince

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

An after dark find, quite close to an old multi with a tricky first stage. I approached it straight on, thought better of that, and then circled around on a gentler slope. Listening to the water running over the spillway was quite pleasant in the dark. Thanks for bringing me back to this area! mjp303

Caught in a Tree

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

Caching after dark. Not sure how I managed to stumble on this cache. It would have been a difficult find even in daylight. Thanks for the creative hide! mjp303

Lunch QC

By: Scorpion King Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I found it in the dark, but only after dodging a group that was returning to their cars after dinner. I was desparately trying to think of a plausible excuse for my presence in that spot, and the only thing I could come up with was: 'They've reported some problems with power at the movie theater.' Amazingly, it worked! TFTC. mjp303

Westwood Oaks

By: Valdemar74 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. I spotted GeoBaby at the playground before I realized BuckyD was hunting the cache. I was thinking to myself, 'That's strange...what's that kid doing here in the park playing all by herself?' We then spied Bucky at ground zero, and we had a good chuckle. TFTC. mjp303

Big and Easy

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. I was looking for something small or micro until vaccine informed me it was a large. Oh! That changes things. TFTC. mjp303

This old park feels like a long lost friend

By: wadazi and bentleythecat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. Kablooey joined us enroute, and we found the cache together. I was convinced something natural very nearby was the well camouflaged cache, but that was not the case. We then searched further away, and eventually circled around to the original spot for a satisfying find. TFTC. mjp303

Encore Bizarre

By: mfc, the storyteller Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. We had visited to the original version of the cache together as well, so walked right by ground zero on our way to the original hide. Kablooey and Robert Lipe quickly brought us out of our stupor. Thanks! mjp303

Wedding Shower #4

By: southbayday Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. The rain was starting to spit a bit, but we knew where to look after realizing the size of the cache. Thanks for pointing out this pleasant spot! mjp303

Wedding Shower #2

By: southbayday Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Not chosen

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. This was a strange spot. I felt like I was in someone's back yard. I did drive my jeep through a mud puddle though! TFTC. mjp303

Want Cache?

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Yes, I do want cache! Thanks for providing it! mjp303

Meet & Greet Groundspeak & Garmin in the Bay Area

By: Signal the Frog Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Thanks for the opportunity to hold the new widget and see how it works. Very cool. Equally fun was the chance to see a lot of geocaching friends and catch up. Oh, thanks for the coin, too! [8D] mjp303

WW (What Walkway?)

By: mfc, the storyteller Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. Kablooey was still travelling with us. I found the cache, but managed to drop it after removing the lid. The three of us listened in stunned silence as it rattled around in it's hiding spot. Luckily, it made an appearance on the other end after a second or two. Whew! TFTC. mjp303

John W. Christian Greenbelt II

By: Somethings Fishy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. Today was a good day to cache in this place. Cool, rainy, and not a person in sight. We found it after a short search. TFTC. mjp303

Moffett Park

By: Created by Stacy & Jerry; Adopted by cachbefo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Out with vaccine after the groundspeak event at REI. Both of us have DNF'd this cache previously. I was feeling hopeful this time, but I think vaccine was a bit pessimistic. We searched for a while, and started to get discouraged. He called a lifeline, but couldn't get through. I called a lifeline, but that person had found it in it's original location. Finally, we called a third one. Doh! How'd we miss that! Very happy to have made a find here after all. TFTC. mjp303

XINYH

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

What the heck does XINYH mean? One of life's mysteries, I suppose. I got my knees all muddy making the grab. TFTC. mjp303

Levee Run 1

By: csolsen Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Not one to follow rules or instructions, I parked where I shouldn't have and walked the 25 steps or so to the cache. Two minutes later I was on my way, and no one was any wiser. TFTC. mjp303

Tower of Power

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

In the area to run an errand tonight, and stopped by for a quick find. I like little oddities like this. Somebody tried to mash the hide I see. TFTC. mjp303

Stroller Friendly #2: A Great Oak

By: Geo Baby and BuckyDef Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

In the area tonight for an errand, and was happy for the cover of darkness when I saw the approach to this cache. With no one around, I was able to conduct an unimpeded search. Eventually the light dawned on me as I decided to trust the widget and ignore some more traditional hiding spots. Thanks! mjp303
