Bottomless

By: Lil Devil Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

I was just one of a big gba group. Somehow we ended up parking in the medical center when we could have gotten much, much closer. Oh well. TFTC! mjp303

False Bottom

By: h_mtreasurecache/G-U.N.I.T Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Not chosen

I was part of a big group of geocachers from the bay area who came up to the area for some unusual difficulty / terrain combinations. Having already finished the Fizzy challenge, I suppose I'm working on my second round! Thanks for a fun and challenging cache!

Ping Pong Cache

By: a NJ kid and calkids Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

One of the kids in the group told us exactly where to look. Thank goodness for his help! TFTC. mjp303

Scoobert's Sunken Treasure

By: Scoobert Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

My widget was pointing right at the cache, and I told those folks out in the water exactly where to look. My contribution was essential. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. [;)] Group caching, you've gotta love it. Thanks. mjp303

Get Your Ticket Here

By: Scoobert Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

What a great park! Thanks! mjp303

High N Dry (Hopefully)

By: TRAKD Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Not chosen

Out with a big gba group. One thing I'm confused about is where the camping actually takes place. I didn't see any place to do it, or, for that matter, anybody actually doing it. It's a mystery to me! TFTC. mjp303

Blue Man Isle

By: PseudoDude Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

High and dry. Fun to walk out on the lake bed with the gba group though. TFTC. mjp303

The Hunt for Capitan Folsom's Fortune

By: Disgolf Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Other

I was part of a large gba group, and boy were we all pleased as punch to combine forces on this challenging cache hunt. I don't think I've ever done a letterbox hybrid / multicache combination before, so it was a new and fun experience! It took quite a while to uncover the final cache; that was a well concealed hiding spot! As others have mentioned, the heat was oppressive. Thanks! mjp303

Fun and Games 1

By: Natural Resources Measurements, Class of 2004 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Out with a big group from the bay area, we had a great time hunting caches along the edge of Folsom Lake. TFTC! mjp303

King of the Hill 3

By: Jeo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

Our group of cachers from the bay area was doing caches along the shore and came at this one from another direction. It was so hot and dry even most of the poison oak had dropped its leaves. Wow! TFTC. mjp303

By: h_mtreasurecache Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

Out exploring Angel Island with the family. One of us is still a girl scout. We appreciated being on the sheltered side of the island; it's much less windy. Cool old buildings to explore here! Thanks for pointing the spot out to us. mjp303

peace pipe

By: cooperphoto Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Out with the family exploring Angel Island. I was hoping to be able the see the SF skyline from this area, but it was not to be on this foggy day. Everyone stayed down on the perimeter road and cheered me on. TFTC. mjp303

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Out exploring Angel Island with the family. Great place for a picnic. We ate our lunch here. Pretty buggy right around the cache right now, which scared the girls. TFTC. mjp303

its the water

By: cooperphoto Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Out with the family to explore Angel Island. The buildings near this cache are nicely restored! I replaced the moldy logs with a new rite-in-the-rain / zip-lock setup, so things are good to go for awhile. TFTC. mjp303

By: KDcool919 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Mama Mia!

By: j/k hunters & Bluebutton Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Clambering around in full view of the parking lot resulted in me getting stared at by a bunch of local hicks. The funny thing is everybody thought the other was acting pretty strangely! TFTC. mjp303

Thanks for the FUN!

By: planehappy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

...and a strange kind of fun it is! Bushwacking through dense thickets of flowering bushes and slipping on weathered rocks above steep drop-offs. Priceless. TFTC! mjp303

By: Snoogans, MtnFrog & Camel Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Not chosen

Being solo, I figured I didn't have too much of a chance. After searching for 15 minutes or so, I climbed up and attempted a lifeline, but no dice. The real gift was the location though, so thank you a million times over for marking the spot. Fantastic. mjp303

This cache was well worth the effort to get to it. Probably the highest elevation cache I've found yet. It's just amazing that the Bristlecone pines survive here; it seems that not too much else does. TFTC. mjp303

A Cache @ Rick's Rocks

By: MtnFrog & Camel and Snoogans Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Regular

After wandering around further down Owens Valley, I finally found the correct turn-off and made my way up to the end of the road. I found the cache after stumbling around in the bushes a bit and scratching my legs. As I was getting ready to leave, about 8 cars came up the road and at least 40 people piled out. It was some sort of youth group headed out for a day of rock climbing. The timing was excellent. If I'd been 5 minutes earlier, a traffic jam would have been the result. TFTC. mjp303
