Well, since you've recorded my signature from the cache log, I guess I better make it official on-line too. [;)] Thanks for the explicit hints! After pacing things out in the darkness, our seaerch area was reduced considerably. A good hide! mjp303
Rock Creek PalisadeBy: The Real McCoy's Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Rock Creek Canyon CacheBy: The Real McCoy's Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular
I saw the turn-off to the cache, but the lag in the widget led me to believe that parking along the paved road was the best. Not! I soaked my foot crossing the stream. Thanks for the adventure. mjp303
Cache "Reward"By: team_indy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

A Claustrophobic's Nightmare/Just Say NO to CrackBy: Snoogans, MtnFrog & Camel Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Not chosen
It's good to clear up a previous DNF. On my first visit, I wasn't even close. As I was putting the cache back, bthomas said, 'Are you sure it's under there far enough?' and with another slight nudge, we all heard it drop kerplink another foot or so. That led to a hurculean recovery effort and 15 minutes of arguments about whether the rock pile looked "natural" or not after we arranged it so that the cache wouldn't fall again. Heh! Thanks for bringing me back to a really cool place! mjp303

Ghosts of Miners PastBy: Mountain Lovers Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Small
I visited this wonderful cache with the GBA group. I really enjoyed wheeling to the trailhead, but the hike was another matter! Never again will I complain about my commute to work! What a great adventure to share with friends. The mine camp was fantastic, and a chance to explore the old mine shafts a once in a truely unique opportunity. As I descended the endless switchbacks, my considerable sense of accomplishment swelled even further. Did I truly hike all that way? Wow! Thanks for the adventure and the cache. mjp303
Eureka Dunes, Death Valley National ParkBy: Trogdog Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Not chosen
After a fantastic day wheeling and hiking up to Champion Mine, I had this crazy idea that the remote SE corner of the DeLorme challenge was still within reach. So we raced the sunset and made it just in time. I think I must have given bthomas, KendraH, and airsax a washboard ride to remember! It was probably more like ice skating...until we hit those loose sand pits! [:O] Unfortunately, the sunset was perfectly still and quiet. Absolutely no wind meant that the dunes were mute as well. Actually, the silence was awesome; it was so unlike the hustle and bustle we come from in everyday life, and contibuted to the majestic emptiness of the Death Valley desert. Members of my group have already posted several pictures that included me at ground zero. My favorite is the one of Fizzy and me taken by bthomas. Those smiles say it all. Thanks for sharing this wonderful spot! mjp303

EurekaBy: Gadfly Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
Not having the benefit of daylight, our route to the cache was direct and steep. No matter, we were having fun out in the desert enjoying the wide-open spaces. DeLorme page #125...check! TFTC. mjp303
Revenge, Sweet RevengeBy: Ron Streeter Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen
Along with the GBA group travelling to the Eastern Sierra for several other 'high profile' targets. Thanks for a fun hunt. There's actually a cache right in my neighborhood with the same camouflage technique...not that it helped me any! Thanks! mjp303
Flight 802By: Notsosmart Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Other
I visited this cache as part of the GBA group. The ascent up the hill really took my wind away, and the traverse across wasn't much easier, but the effort was well worth it. Incredible views and a glorious sunset juxaposed with the jarring suddenness of finding the plane's debris field. There was lots to explore and contemplate here. Thanks for marking the location! mjp303
The Lost Village of Crystal SpringsBy: PurplePeople Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro
2TF @ 7am. Although there were ~30 cars at the trailhead, it was peaceful and quiet at this early hour. I got to watch the first light of day peaking over the hills. Even with a reservoir, this area still holds its charm! FWIW, trail hours are posted sunrise to sunset, so technically badwaterboy and I were illegal. However, the posted restrictions seem to be flagrantly ignored by all, and the gate was wide open. TFTC! mjp303
High School Math #2By: kbseydel Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
I usually skip puzzles, but this morning I had some time to burn waiting for an appointment, so I took a stab at this one. It was fun, and the find was quickly made. It was just me and the gardners gearing up for their day. Unfortunately, on the way to my appointment, I got a flat tire, and ended up being late. Sigh. TFTPC! mjp303
