After the TurkeyBy: passport11 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small
I arrived just a minute or so after Geoides and the tow truck. After convincing the driver that he wasn't going to pick up an easy $100, we started searching together. Geoides picked his spot better than I did and had the cache in hand, but graciously included me on the FTF line. Thanks for a fun post-Thanksgiving start to the week! mjp303

FTF with Geoides at 6:50am. We made the short drive down the hill from the other new cache and made the find together. I love these impromptu gatherings! TFTC! mjp303
Bay Area Ridge Trail - Timber #3By: TimberToo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small
This one was tough. We spent a long time searching unlikely spots closer to where the widget zeroed. Eventually a careful reading of the cache page led us to a find. Thanks. mjp303

As we approached this cache, the wind was really blowing up the ridge above us. It was fun to watch the tall trees swaying back and forth. Lots of creaking and scraping of branches, but next to us at ground level relatively calm and still. I dropped a coin. TFTC. mjp303
Bay Area Ridge Trail - Timber #2By: TimberToo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular
Except for the occasional whine of a motorcycle from far above, we were all alone on the trail during the entire hike. A great way to relax and enjoy. Thanks. mjp303
Bay Area Ridge Trail - Timber #1By: TimberToo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small
After passing the fifth mile marker on our trek north from the Wunderlich side and still having a ways to go, we're of the opinion that this trek is a bit longer than the cache page advertises! My track log was 5.8 miles. A typo perhaps? Not that is mattered too much as we were still having a great time. Nevertheless, my reputation of leading hikes that ALWAYS (kid's emphasis!) longer than what I plan remains intact. TFTC. mjp303
Bay Area Ridge Trail - Springboard NotchBy: TimberToo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small
Our traditional Black Friday hike got delayed due to inclement weather yesterday, but today was just fine. It was a bit blustery and cool in the shade, but we enjoyed the solitude on the trail. John used the notch on his way up to examine the hiding spot, but Ted scrambled up behind to make the easy grab. They were both quickly off down the trail, which left me to do the paperwork and replace the cache. I dropped a coin. TFTC. mjp303

Great cache container! I had to wait for a neighbor to finish unloading T-day groceries before I could put it back. Thanks. mjp303

Ahh, I've been to this park for a cache before. Your hide is a good one. IIRC, the previous one had me tromping around in the bushes over by the playground and alarming the parents. TFTC. mjp303

I've wondered why this sign still remains. Thanks for filling in the blanks and for the cache! mjp303
Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying MachinesBy: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small
An interesting story and a quick find. The guys working at the tire business across the street were on their break when I went to make the replacement, so I took the cache along with me to several others nearby and returned it about 30 minutes later. Thanks. mjp303

A very pleasant afternoon for a little local caching. This spot was a great place to sit and enjoy the perfect weather and contemplate a plan for getting those other two nearby caches where you really do need a boat. Thanks! mjp303

I enjoyed the story and the opportunity to visit several interesting locations. Too bad there is no access to the old cemetery; I would like to see it. Thanks to the cache owner who helped me with my counting, and provided a pleasant caching excursion! mjp303

We decided to get out for a little hike and this cache was the objective. I'm glad that I decided to visit as I found the cache contents strewn all over the ground near gz. Fortunately nothing was missing, but a lot of the swag was wet and moldy, so I packed it out. The log book was still in its plastic bag, and although a bit damp, will be fine. The contents of the cache are a bit sparse now though. Please replace the cache as found, off the ground. Enjoy!
