Viewing Area #2

By: Gandy Dancers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Was hoping to put a Swimming Buddies TB here, but cache was definitely a micro.

Watchguard of the Hidden Gateway

By: jkillah1 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I spent quite a few minutes wrestling with the guard himself... lol. Only when I gave up I found it.

Welcome to Kennedy

By: jkillah1 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Growing up in East Detroit I always think of Kennedy Park when I think of Forth of July... 1976 to be specific, The Bicentennial. That's why I chose this location to drop off the "All American Micro 2007" Geocoin. Thanks for the Kennedy park series. -- Oh, and since I'm such a fan of skulls and skeletons, and it being Halloween, I couldn't resist taking the "Dirty Skully" chip--thanks!

Hangin' Out

By: jkillah1 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Used to swim in that pool when I was a kid. Nice to have an excuse to come back for a visit.

HB #30 - Hiding Spot

By: Cindypray Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Grabbed this one on my way back from dropping off a TB. Wish I had more time to explore the whole series.

HB #29 - Cedar of Lebanon

By: Cindypray Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Very nice site. Was looking all along Jefferson for a place to drop the "Swimming With Friends" TB, but none were large enough... so they ended up here in a very nice home, as close to Lake St. Clair as was able. Truly a pleasant find. TFTH!

Debone My Fish - Redux

By: Brummelbear Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nice hiding spot. Easy park & find.

Hotbox on the Spur

By: OutSpokin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Cool park. Nice easy find.

Rouge Booth

By: Team Shredded Bark Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Such a nice spot. Thanks. Found and took the "All American Micro 2007" Geocoin. Nice quality! First coin I've seen. I'd like to find one of these for keeps, but will move it along of course.

Birmingham Gage Station

By: Team Rumble Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I drive by here all the time on my scooter, who knew I could get Cache Credit for it!

Shade's Neighborhood Lake

By: jamesshade Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Re-visited today and indeed of the 3 Travel Bugs listed as being in inventory, none were there. Don't know if it's just a coincidence, but this could be a TB Black Hole?

SQ GILBERT LAKE

By: excelsior53 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Very awesome cache! I love finding out about all these riverside spots in my neighborhood that I've never known about. There were a lot of leaves falling today as loud as footsteps in this quiet location. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the cache with the yellow leaves covering the ground everywhere. Still a beautiful sight. Amazing about the broken headstones strewn about.

So cool to find caches in areas that are so popular. This was a very easy to find cache, yet no less rewarding. It was actually kind of refreshing to bumble around looking like a crazy bum while BHamites jogged by. -- just noticed that there are supposedly 3 TBs in this cache. I didn't notice any tags when I was looking, I can check again tomorrow if that would help?

Crawfish Vernal Pond

By: Team Rumble Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Found this today and was really impressed to find a nice peaceful spot of nature in the middle of the burbs. I've snapped a photo, but as my GPS is also my camera and my phone, it does not appear in the picture. It is a Google G1 fwiw.

Crawfish Pond

By: JCMR Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Out by myself and maybe still too new at this. Spent about 15 minutes before darkness started creeping in. I'll be back!

The Kinross Bug Stop

By: kevinangela Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Fun! Found it with Nicedissolve during lunch. Didn't know what that Travel Bug was, I'm going to have to look that up.

Bad Memories

By: Bapman Crew Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Found this over lunch with Nicedissolve after some Del Taco :). I'd been out before in the dark and didn't find it, but we found it this time. Having two GPS enabled phones helped.

Michigan Craft Brewing: Diamond Dan

By: Ypsi Gizmo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Out with Nicedissolve for a triple cache lunch. This was maybe harder than we expected because I think we were overthinking it. Don't waste your time up by the train tracks, btw :)

Facing Truth on a Higher Level

By: Karshooter Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I had help from team pluto!

Three of a Kind

By: Karshooter Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

TFTH. In a very public spot. :) First Finder's Dollar is still there. I left it too, of course.
